Jimoto is a locally owned and operated upscale casual American Sushi Restaurant located in downtown Winnetka. "Jimoto" is a Japanese term that can be translated as "local" or "hometown." In Japanese culture, "jimoto" often signifies a deep-rooted loyalty and support for the community, as well as a recognition of the local traditions, customs, and values. Great restaurant with a nice sushi vibe. I appreciate the GF markings on the menu. Staff was wonderful and the food was outstanding. Seemed like a good takeout business was going on as well, and restaurant was pretty full, but no problems with getting our food and in the service. I highly recommend going here.

First time here, and it did not disappoint! We were seated right away, although the restaurant was mostly full. I highly recommend the Ramen Noodle salad as an appetizer, and our favorite sushi roll is the Chicago Fire Roll. The drinks are also excellent! We will definitely be dining here again.

It was very could and a great value. They have a happy hour deal On food until 6 pm. Our meal was excellent!

Our Our visit to Jimoto recently to celebrate a birthday was fabulous. The food is always the best, and our waitress was attentive, charming, and pleasant. We’ll definitely return for other events and will happily refer Jimoto to friends.
