   Our server was Cody. He was engaging, attentive, respectful and we enjoyed our conversations. He helped us decide what to order, and when my husband left his credit card, Cody found us as we were walking to our car, and brought us the credit card. He knew where we would be walking because he had told us how to navigate back to our car in the Marriott parking garage. Finding a place to park, near this restaurant is difficult, and it is confusing traversing the hallways, stairs, elevators to find the parking garage. Maybe placing a few signs for direction to the restaurant might help. If there are signs I didn’t see them.

   This was my first time going to J. Gilbert’s and I will most definitely be back. Amazing experience!

   We indulged in the price fixe dinners for our party of 6. Food and service were outstanding. Definitely a memorable dinner for our Creighton graduate.

   We made 8pm reservations for a Friday night. Parking was a beast, but we made it. The entrance was a little crowded but we were escorted right away to our table. Our waiter, Corey, was quick and friendly. My husband got the Cowboy Steak, pablano au gratin, and creamed corn with bacon. He raved that it was the best he had. I had the lobster tail with scallops, mushrooms w/ truffle butter, and potatoes. Freaking delicious. Corey was on his game and was a pleasure. We wanted for nothing. The price was on point, too. Absolutely, will go back on our next visit.

   The first time I ordered J. Gilberts was a Doordash delivery for date-night in. My expectations were exceeded by the quality and care J. Gilberts did with packing the delivery order and the presentation of the dishes ordered, a steak entree, wood-fired salmon, and chocolate cake. I knew then that I needed to go to J. Gilberts in person. The quality of the food was outstanding, I tried the oysters, house salad, French onion soup, filet special w/ scallops, and chocolate cake. All of it was 10/10. Highly recommend for delivery or eat-in! My only complaints were that the restaurant was really loud since it was peak time so it can be difficult to have quiet dinner conversation. But, overall a really great experience.

   I was very disappointed in the Poblano Potatoes Au Gratin-not trace whatsoever of poblano. I have had them before so I know what they used to be like. These potatoes were “ ok” but not the delicious special side dish I have enjoyed in the past

    Rib-eye was top notch as were all the sides. I usually get the crab cakes which are always delicious but wanted to try out the steak. The service wasn’t as great as usual but it was Mother’s Day so it’s understandable. We’ve never had a negative experience. Great work guys!
