   Although it's 45 minutes outside of Mérida it is definitely worth the drive. The restaurant is beautiful, set inside an impeccably manicured parcel of land. They grow their own herbs on site. The service is outstanding. If it's your first visit to Ixi'im your waiter greets you at the parking lot and escorts you to the restaurant giving you a brief history of the property and the restaurant. From beginning to end the of your meal service is excellent but not intrusive. Food was unique, blending flavours that were new but based on traditional recipes. They also offered vegetarian options! Excellent wine list as well. Thank you, we will return 🤎

   We were genuinely excited driving down the stunning private park that leads to the restaurant. The setting is breathtaking, and the attention to detail was impressive from the moment we arrived—our hostess awaited us in the car park, adding a touch of exclusivity that made us feel special. Little did we know, she was less of a hostess and more of a polite escort ensuring we were ushered—firmly but gracefully—into the restaurant. It turns out that as non-hotel guests, that’s the only place we’re truly welcome. In the name of “preserving the experience” for hotel guests, external visitors are restricted to the car park and the restaurant. That’s it. To be clear, the actual hotel area (including the pool and second restaurant) is well concealed behind walls and lush vegetation, which is completely understandable. What’s less understandable is that even the small grassy area in front of the restaurant—clearly visible from your table—is off-limits. After spending three hours at the table, we attempted to take a short stroll to admire the surroundings, and stretch our legs before driving at least one hour back to civilisation; only to be gently but unmistakably redirected back to our car. The message was loud and clear: we were not welcome to enjoy the property beyond the confines of our table. And it’s not as if the place was bustling—quite the opposite. The restaurant was eerily empty, devoid of energy, and not a single hotel guest was in sight. Now we understand why. It’s a shame that such a beautifully designed place, with good (albeit pricey) food, chooses to treat external guests with such cold formality. It left us with a distinct sense of being unwelcome—unworthy, even. A pity, really. The setting is exquisite, but the soul is missing.

   Excellent on all counts. Gracious, friendly and unassuming service from arrival to departure. A delightful and inventive tasting menu. Every dish was delicious especially the venison risotto with Mexican oregano, which was outstanding. A truly memorable experience.

   Every part of the experience was choreographed to exude a back to nature including deer visiting to a massive masculinity of rocks, natural stones , copper, marble ,to the landscaping as one approached with agave and hemp. Trully an orchestrated experience I won’t forget.

    It was divine! My non vegan husband and my vegan self both really liked this restaurant. The food was thoughtfully curated.
