   We came to celebrate my daughter’s 18 th birthday and we were not disappointed . Excellent service ,followed by delicious food - couldn’t fault it 🤩

   Even though we booked for a 60th birthday (They were advised), we were placed on a table that was right in the doorway. Draughty, cold and busy. I asked one of the waitresses to move us and she had a very poor attitude. As she walked away she looked upwards and tutted into the ceiling. Not impressed. We were eventually reluctantly moved after my request. Same girl was then seen cuddling one of the other male waiters by the till. Very un-professional. Restaurant and food were excellent. If it were not for the service from this one girl, we would definitely go again. Such a shame that we were put in that position. A lovely restaurant with excellent food. The owners have clearly set their model which, we feel is great.

   Dieses Restaurant war der absolute Glücksgriff und ist sehr zu empfehlen. Mit Tischreservierung vorab via Open Table wird man sehr freundlich begrüßt und der Service ist rundum perfekt, ob man Beratung benötigt oder nicht. Die Speisekarte hält für jeden Geschmack und Geldbeutel (2 Gang mit Auswahl ab 20,95 GBP, Hauptgänge allein ab ca 20 GBP, Vorspeisen und Desserts ab 12 GBP) und alles war super-lecker und vielfach mit überraschendem Twist. Aperitifs klassisch oder kreativ, Cocktails ebenso. ABER: neben bestem Essen, tollen Drinks und sehr nettem, zuvorkommendem Service gibt es noch das spektakuläre Restaurantdesign im 1920er-Jahre Stil mit Pflanzen, Bäumen und herrlicher Wanddeko. Allein dafür lohnt der Besuch! Also hin da, wir würden jederzeit sehr gerne wieder ins The Ivy Liverpool gehen. Es war ein durchweg tolles Erlebnis.    Perfect venue for a late lunch! Beautiful decor and very attentive staff! Scallops were the best I’ve eaten!

   Ok, it was a Friday night, Aintree weekend, and it was busy. There was a DJ playing very loud music, in our opinion, which wasn’t to our taste and we wasn’t expecting. Our table was in a corner, the bench seating wasn’t comfortable either and that hasn’t been our experience at other IVY restaurants. On a positive note, the service from Nathan was very good and he was helpful with the Ivy app to log points. All in all it was a disappointing evening which was a birthday treat.

   Don’t believe some of the negative reviews . Restaurant is busy but staff are super helpful and food was good quality . Not as expensive as some would have you believe

   Thank you for a lovely evening, everything was perfect from the pleasant staff, excellent service, delicious food and beautiful venue. We had the Heritage menu and it was such good value for money. It was a very busy night due to open day at Aintree Races but we were not rushed. Lovely experience we will definitely be back.     The most disinterested waiter we have ever experienced. Apparently the menu was new that day and he admitted to not having looked at it. The steak tartare starter was available, then it wasn't, then it was and eventually it wasn't. The service was slow and disingenuous. We received food we hadn't ordered and didn't receive food we had ordered. When we requested that the service charge be removed from the bill it took an age. The staff member that eventually dealt with it explained it could only be done by a manager. When we explained to the manager why we didnt want to pay it, he said "I've been in the back, I don't know what has been happening. Having clicked up many previous enjoyable visits to various The Ivy restaurants, this visit fell far below the expected standard. Very disappointed.
