Relaxed environment, attentive staff, good food. I will defiantly be back.
If you haven’t tried it, you really should.
Possibly going at 2.30 on a Sunday was not the best time to maximise the ambiance as the restaurant was virtually empty. The young waiter still managed to give us weekday lunch menus that we pointed out were invalid. Wine prices on the bar were also deceiving as prices by a 500 ml carafe and not a full bottle. When we pointed this out the young lady said she didn't do it and shrugged but I notice the cost was amended by the time we left.
Food ordered came promptly and was delicious especially the aubergine and secrete. Bread needs to be reconsidered at £3.00 for 4 tiny slices served with olive oil. This is fine for a nibble but Spanish food deserves a big canasta of bread to soak up sauce and have with cheese and jamon. We spend £9.00 on bread and oil alone.
There seemed to be a friend seated across from us as the chef , restaurant manager and other staff spent considerable time around that table with much hilarity which given how quiet the rest of the restaurant was became a tad irritating.
Was it worth £149.00 ... well I think we would return but be smarter in our time and ordering and maybe take a small loaf with us
From the moment we walked in to the moment we left we were looked after by the most attentive staff. We were a party of 3 spending the weekend in Glasgow on a girlie weekend to celebrate two of our birthdays. Before bringing out the drinks we had ordered, we were surprised with a glass of champagne each to celebrate! The food was amazing as were the drinks a bottle of Rioja and the most amazing creamy espresso martinis. We struggled to get a cab back to our hotel but the staff didn’t give up even finally running into the street to flag down a passing cab for us. A great experience which I’d recommend. I’d been for lunch at the Manchester restaurant which was why I booked the Glasgow one and was not disappointed.
This is one of my favourite restaurants that I have ever been to. The food was absolutely incredible, the staff were receptive and friendly, and the atmosphere was wonderful. We went there for my partner's birthday and we were greeted with 2 complimentary glasses of prosecco to celebrate. I was also pleasantly surprised that the prices were so low for the quality of food received. Absolutely nothing bad to say, we loved it.
Absolutely lovely restaurant food and service is always outstanding can’t wait to return. Thank you for making my birthday extra special x
Great tapas. Some unusual dishes that you don’t get on regular tapas menus. Lovely decor & staff very good too
We enjoyed the food. I’m afraid some of the service was lacking. One of the waiters was obviously not understanding what we were asking for e.g. we want a Bacardi rum and Diet Coke. We were seven people but the order ended up very confused with several things not being written down by him. It took about four attempts before he understood e.g we asked for three prawns, he only ordered two, two octopus we got one... At times we felt a bit abandoned even though the restaurant was very quiet although the waiting staff were helpful enough once we got their attention. I would have raised this at the time but did not want to make a fuss in front of my daughter as it was a birthday celebration.
The atmosphere in the bar area is really good, busy but not too noisy, the drinks are a bit expensive, but the fact that you can chat with friends in a nice bar without it being too busy makes up for that. The food was very average at best, who dissmantels a paella, chicken on one plate then two plates of rice, Paella is supposed to be a dish to share, I dont want a waiter putting it on lots of different plates, also the paella was like mush, we did not eat it. onto the bill, luckily I checked it before paying as they had added on a £45.00 service charge to our bill. I asked them to take it off, I will decide how much I leave for the staff, not them. overall I will go back for drinks but will leave the food and go to other, better, less expensive tapas bars.
Overall good. Service a bit slow atmosphere a bit lacking.
Iberica is a beautiful and stylish setting. The staff who looked after us were very friendly and fairly attentive. We were very disappointed with the food, just as we often are disappointed in Alicante where I have a second home. Too much use of the deep fat fryer and an absence or mistreatment of fresh vegetables. Little care, pride or love had been put into the food we ate. Admittedly we had only a selection from the limited lunch menu, but perusal of the a la carte menu, showed little more than the usual suspects. I would take the food from rival, Cafe Andaluz, over that from Iberica anytime. I repeat that the setting and the staff were very good but the food was very poor. It would take a lot to entice me back.
Food was perfect, best tapas I have had! Phoned in advance and made a vegetarian paella for us which was fantastic. The maracuyá martini was delicious and the sangria was very refreshing. Excellent service, Gregori was very helpful! 10/10 experience, no where else I would go for tapas now!
The wine was served at the room tempreture, I am not so sure if it is specific to Spanish wine, but one of my guest was complaining about it
was disappointed with this restaurant having heard good reviews. Both of us had been ill the next day. Seafood Paella was expensive for what we got. It fitted on 2 small sideplates. Would not recommend this dish and will not be going back.
excellent service and authentic Spanish food. Good wine selection and reasonable prices Highly recommended.
Booked a table for 8pm on Saturday, arrived just before 7.55pm and were told that the table wasn't ready yet, which was fine as we were early. We took a seat at the bar and had a drink (we were told there was no Mahou beer left, yet someone else ordered one 5 minutes later and were given it), then proceeded to wait 30 minutes before we were eventually seated at our table. We asked on 3 occasions when the table would be ready and each time were told it was being set up - if that's the case then they took 30 minutes to lay the table which is ridiculous, but I suspect this was a lie.
When we eventually sat down, we had to ask for menus as when we got there, there were none on the table and 5-10 minutes had passed with nobody acknowledging us. When we finally got to see menus, we ordered 6 tapas and a pitcher of sangria. Some of the tapas arrived whilst the Sangria sat on the bar for 15 minutes before it was brought over to the table, with one member of staff checking the ticket 3 times and just leaving it on the bar for someone else to deal with.
Our waitress, Sabrina's, attitude basically came across as "can't be bothered", especially after I had heard her explaining about a previous complaint she had had that evening to who I assume was the restaurant manager (heard this on my 3rd attempt asking when our table would be ready). We also asked her for more bread during our meal which never arrived. I understand that everyone has bad days, but this just topped off our experience in this restaurant.
We could have just been unlucky as I have heard good things about this place, but I was extremely disappointed in the service. Food was nice, but not a lot of choice really when compared to other Spanish restaurants. Would definitely choose Cafe Andaluz over this place next time, as I've been there countless times and never had anything bad to say.
Good Spanish good, good atmosphere, very good service! Would recommend
Having booked a table on arrival were told it wasn't ready, then had to wait 30 minutes to be seated. Waited at bar, service here was also incredibly slow. Once sat down we then had to ask for menu's as no one came over to serve. Food was average, had far better tapas elsewhere. Ordered more drinks but never arrived, we gave up by this time and didn't bother with dessert. Extremely disappointed, would never return.
Arrived on time for 1830 to be told our table wasn't ready. After 40 mins, 2 x bottles of wines and complimentary tapas we were finally given our table (reason for this was the previous party refused to move !!!! ). The manager was very apologetic. We ordered up our food and were almost finished by the time another 2 x dishes appeared. This then meant we were still waiting on one more dish, which we then told the waitress not to bother with.
Once presented with the bill we then spoke to the manager. We knew it wasn't his fault just bad manners by the previous party but the place was very busy all night probably due to the Valentines Day overspill. The manager knocked off quite a bit on the bill which we agreed on and we did leave a sizeable tip.
This would not put us off and we plan to go back another time as the food and the atmosphere is indeed very good.
Well done to the manager and his staff for trying to keep everyone happy on a very busy Saturday night.
Really lovely tapas restaurant. Food was delicious, and service and place in general was great. Would definitely go back.
Excellent value and outstanding food. Service wasn't as good as last time but maybe an off night and table was bang in the middle of restaurant when nicer tables were available. That being said when the food, and croquettes in particular, are this good all is forgiven!!!
Really lovely authentic food and wine. Only criticism was that I had to ask for my bottle of wine three times and one of the plates which cam e from the kitchen with the croquettes was really badly chipped. I would definitely return but if these little things could be fixed I would have given Iberica and outstanding review.
WE ENJOYED IT AND THE STAFF WERE GREAT .THE WINES SELECTION WAS EXCELLENT
Was my youngest 13th birthday and we love tapas but have never been in here and my daughter has been wanting to go here for several months. Firstly there was no atmosphere as it was empty at 1330hrs and we had to ask the waitress for a seat. No fresh orange. After a check there was apple juice. Food was ok. Bread burnt which was a bit poor as there was only two small slices. Tuna salad was the best of the eleven dishes we ordered. We couldn’t eat the chicken and rice dish as the chicken was the dark end of the chicken which I agree is the preference of some but most do prefer the white. Meatballs were fine but not very hot or warm. Basically a bit of a birthday flop lunch which cost £75. Probably not go back and will stick with the other tapas in the city.
They were really struggling which was weird given it was a lunch time booking and very quiet. I could hear people around us were not pleased and it took a huge amount of time for a relatively small amount of food to be delivered. The food was good albeit a number of dishes were cold. These were removed from the bill. Lovely surroundings and great drinks menu but we definitely got them on an off day!
Staff very friendly and recommended some tapas as this was our first time in Iberica. Lovely atmosphere and beautiful lighting and food was amazing. A great night and will definitely be returning. Would highly recommend for anyone who loves tapas.
Food was lovely but unfortunately let down by very slow service.
Good atmosphere and food is outstanding. Slight disappointment that staff seem to forget about you once food served. Definitely go back though.
Excellent service, food very good and all very authentic Spanish-restaurant experience.
great food, ambience and overall special night, easy for transport links and access to plenty of bars for later on
It was a really lovely restaurant. Staff very pleaseant and very helpful
Good drinks choice.
Value for money in a good place
Food was lovely just a bit of a wait between starters and mains.
Fantastic food and great service. A good choice of wines and staff able to recommend food wine pairing
Food was ok service was terrible. Me I discroption could be improved. Staff quick to clear empty glasses and plates but don’t check back in food or to see if you want a drink. Half our group were eating 2nd dish before we could order some wine
Would not go back
We went to the restaurant for an late lunch, early dinner. We had a lovely tapas meal 6 dishes. I was surprised that I wasn't offered to taste my wine before she continued to pour it in front of me. So it was a good thing that I liked it. The staff were friendly and helpful. They could have been more attentive though as we weren't asked if we wanted another drink or given us clean plates to use with olive pips and shells on our plates, when we had all the tapas to eat. Otherwise it was a relaxing lunch but not much atmosphere.
ordered 6 dishes they all came at differant time with big waites in between.
We ordered the mussels and more than 50% were still closed and the suase was cold.
It is te 1st time i have not left a tip.
We did not complain as it was busy and one would not like to make a scene.
Very stylish restaurant, friendly staff and delicious tapas. I would recommend a visit.
Exceptionally good food and the 50% January tapas sale is great value!
What a lovely setting spoiled by cold /lukewarm food. Had to send one dish back but the others were a bit on the cool side too. Such a shame. So couldn’t recommend it to anyone solely because of that.
Another great meal at Iberica best tapas ever
Despite the restaurant being empty and staff not being busy, the mushroom tapas arrived tepid, not hot, having been standing around for a while, No one asked if it was OK and I had to draw their attention to my dissatisfaction. It was replaced. Had to wait a long time to get the bill and then staff seemed more interested in chatting to themselves. I just left the cash and went with no sign of anyone to acknowledge my departure. Management needs to get a grip on this place which is beautifully designed and has really good food when served on time.
