Heritage is family owned and operated by Chef Philip Pretty and sister Lauren Pretty. Our lively indoor dining room was built in 1922 as a craftsman house. Walk inside to an open kitchen, request bar seating to watch us cook over a live fire Santa Maria grill. Located in the Rose Park neighborhood of Long Beach on the corner of 7th & Saint Louis Ave. Heritage Restaurant uses sustainable meat & seafood, and Farmer's Market produce. Growing our own produce at Heritage Farm right up the street. Certified blue, green, and maintain a zero-waste kitchen. One red and green star Michelin awarded. We serve a tasting menu only. We politely decline modifications. Please specify all dietary restrictions/allergies when booking your reservation. Our menu is seasonal, and subject to daily changes. Join us for a very special collaboration dinner with our friends from Snail Bar in Oakland. Dinner will consist of a pre-fixe tasting menu with dishes from Chef Pretty of Heritage and Chef Andres Giraldo Florez of Snail Bar. Wine pairing or non-alcoholic pairings will be available to add on upon your arrival. Modifications and substitutions are politely declined, please reach out to the restaurant directly with any dietary concerns before booking.

The service was fantastic. The first five courses were gorgeous. Then came some sour pomegranate and cream thing. We thought it was supposed to be sour but now we’re wondering as we both were sick all night. The closing cocoa pie was underwhelming also. The no substitutions policy is way too strict. At these prices, they could have one or two back up dishes for people with allergies.

Is my second time at this restaurant, and each time the experience gets better. It’s so nice to have such great cuisine with a neighborhood feel.

Every course had intention and attention to detail and was absolutely fresh and delicious. The service was excellent and Jenny went above and beyond to ensure our experience was exceptional.

Absolutely loved this restaurant and will return soon! The food and wine pairing were perfect. I ended the meal and wanted to start the whole thing again. Portions and pours were perfect to end feeling full but not overly so. Cannot recommend any stronger.

Great service, great food. Pricey… but it’s a Michelin Star type deal. Will come back for new menus on special occasions!
