Went and had dinner and drinks there. Nothing special about the food, very small portions but lacking flavour. Decent drinks though.

Another one of those places who serve dishes that are designed for ‘sharing’. The problem I (always) have with that concept, especially when you are in a group of four or more, is either not everyone ends up eating sufficient amount of food, or you end up splitting the bill for dishes you hardly had or merely had them in a ‘tasting’ portions due to the fact that you have to share them with the rest of your guests. Worse, when both happen PLUS you leave the place hungry, mainly because of the portion you end up having and the timing of dishes being served. When this type of restaurants serve ‘sharing’ dishes, that simply means they serve them out when they are ready. The gap between having something to munch in the beginning and end of your seating could be substantially big and is enough for you to feel like as if you hardly had anything. Given the price of each dish, you obviously don’t want to keep ordering dishes.

Lovely location, very atmospheric! Food was tasty but a touch on the small size for the price. The booking time slots are too close together for groups which meant the restaurant moved things around to avoid having to ask us to vacate. Overall really enjoyable evening.

Quite a limited menu - there weren't many good vegetarian options. The service was ok, but not great - could've been faster. Value for money was ok, but not great.

Tasty and fresh ingredients and interesting Vietnamese flavour combinations - attentive staff and reasonable prices. Small but interesting wine list.

A bit of a let down. Food didn't blow us away and service was slow. I was also served a warm beer. We ordered the number of dishes based on their recommendation, but left hungry & with a steep bill. Wouldn't recommend.

Great new Vietnamese restaurant in the now bustling darling quarter. We had the crab spring rolls and beef and crispy chicken pho. Both were delicious and left us full and satisfied! - will definitely return!

Great new food precinct and great to now not have to go out to Marickville to have Hello Auntie's food.
However not as many vegan options as at Marickville.

The food was absolutely incredible. It didn’t feel as though it was a single type of Asian cuisine, but a rather interesting and wonderful fusion of a number of types.

The team was highly attentive and wonderful people to interact with.

Unfortunately one dish was forgotten from our initial order, but they worked hard at rectifying the situation and were highly apologetic, we weren’t upset but they made sure to make us even happier than we already were. So that was much appreciated!

I'm a big fan of Hello Auntie Marrickville and was very excited for one to open in Darling Square. Though the food was amazing, the menu was very limited (~10 options, possibly as it recently opened so full menu wasn't available) which all contained meat.

We went as a party of 9 and one person in our group was vegetarian - the only 2 options (which weren't on the menu) were tofu and a noodle dish. We went with the tofu dish and it was only that - a few pieces of tofu - which cost $15.

All in all, the food was delicious, but I was disappointed with the lack of options. No seafood and no vegetarian options? I hope the full menu will be made available soon as this is not ideal for big groups or anyone with dietary requirements.

Great food, great service but expensive, overpriced wine with a very limited wine list. This is the new way restaurants make money, selling $20 bottles of wine for $75

Great setup with friendly staff. The food and produce was both fresh and delicious. A great experience worth trying. Will be back for more!
