Our Second Evening Supper Series on October 5th, Hayward & Revel Meat Co. will be teaming up with Astral chefs John Boisse and Lauren Breneman for a family style four course farm dinner. Each ticket includes welcome bites and wine pairings curated by Morgan Beck of Johan Vineyards. Sourcing will be focused around our friends at Campfire Farms with beautiful flowers from Eda Creek. The dinner will be held in Canby, Oregon, location to be disclosed privately in an email prior to dinner.

Food was prepared to perfection. Creative, surprising flavor profiles but not fussy. The service was lovely and wine list was thoughtful, refreshing and international.

Fabulous food. Great farm to table dining. Server was very helpful dietary restrictions. She was able to guide us through the menu to meet our needs.

Emily was great! We had lots of questions about the menu and descriptions of the servings and she was patient and totally helpful. The food sent off so many sensory messages in my palate that I was in food heaven! Yummy!

Restaurant was in a warehouse with a few other eateries and shops. This location was not really romantic or upscale but the food and service was great. We had the whole table tasting meal and everything was really delicious. Lots of food though, so you won’t leave hungry.

It was my wife’s birthday and the dessert had a candle on it. The food is great and very creative. We did the kick back so we were a the mercy of the chef for our food. I am teasing when I say mercy as everything tastes great so there are no bad selections.

Beautiful, creative (but not weird) food. Perfectly portioned for sharing between two people. We had the sesame focaccia, gazpacho with nduja, salmon rolls, cavatelli, and peach dessert. We couldn’t quite finish it all. Amazing wine list, to be expected. Our server was charming and lovely. The setting is very hip, but no air conditioning on a hot summer night was not so great. We will definitely be back in the fall!

This is our third time eating at Hayward in the Mac Market, first time for dinner. As anticipated everything was unique and wonderful from the cocktail down to the desert. They pay close attention to creating a new experience out of very simple ingrediants, and deliver it in a quick, informal yet professional manner the fits McMinnville. The panzanella in particular was amazing! The bread is front and center in the dish as it should be. We will definetely be back. A few quibbles, the very hot chili crisp was not really necessary on the cauliflower; an easy fix as it can readily be removed. And the fans blowing air onto the outdoor space are really annoying though I’m not sure what Hayward can do about it; maybe lobby the building owners to put the fans on the roof where they’ll be MUCH more effective and less bothersome for the staff and consumers who use the building. At some point Mac Market has to realize they need to optimize the space for retail as it’s not a warehouse anymore.
