Havana Moon at Vidanta Vallarta

We had a wonderful meal with great service and beautiful beachfront view. A wonderful evening!

We have enjoyed Havana Moon several times over the past few years when visiting Vidanta Nuevo Vallarta. Never disappointed. Enjoy!!

Food was great. Mostly Cuban and South American food. Location was right on the beach which was lovely.

Food was better than last time we were here. Service is very good. The staff really cares that you have a good experience! Beautiful setting on the beach.

Large portions, but lower quality. Ordered the Tuna and received two large steaks, but one was so full of fat, only half was edible.

Sat outside and watched the sun set - beautiful. 3 of us, ordered tuna, BBQ ribs and steak. Tuna was fresh, a huge piece and very good. BBQ ribs had good flavor, but we're tough. First Steak was extremely fatty and was sent back. Second was much better and had good flavor. Local cat got the leftover tuna 🤗. Menu well marked for GF options.

There was a dinner/show at the nearby beach and the noise was a bit distracting for those dining on the restaurant patio. Otherwise food was decent for the price and the beach front location was nice. Get the chocolate cigar for a fun desert.

We really enjoyed the food but the wine list is lacking as we tried ordering 2 different bottles of wine & they didn’t have either in stock. The waiter brought out another bottle which was more than double the price. We didn’t take the bottle so settled on a glass of wine each. They need to restock their wine more often.

This restaurant is right in front of the beach so the view and ambiance are amazing. I tried the Posta Negra dish and it was absolutely delicious. So good that we went to the restaurant twice in one week. I highly recommend it.

We sat at a beach front table at sunset and shared a salad, special of the day mahi mahi and pork ribs, brownie desert and all were excellent. I would do it again for sure!

Dine right on the beach. Free entertainment from hotel fiesta buffet. Salmon and ribs good but ropa veija was outstanding. Grand marnier parfait pretty but bland

Do not order desserts! Beautiful location & service was great. The food was average to sub-par - Jerk Chicken had sauce not a rub, Shrimp Diablo was not spicy & had too many added ingredients. Short rib & rum shrimp dishes were good but nothing extraordinary. The desserts were not edible & not as described.

I was offered the worst caesar salad in my life--seriously. Limp lettuce and shrimp like right out of a can, The food here has gone downhill completely. The music was canned music from a 3rd rate bar in France. I would not recommend it.

Great Oceanside setting. We’ve enjoyed Havana Moon at Riviera Maya on numerous occasions. Same delicious menu offerings, prompt service.

My spouse was hit with severe intestinal problems within 5 hours after eating the seafood enchiladas. She spent most of the night in the bathroom and in bed the following day.

Nice sunset location.Cool breeze. Moon. Will return.

Shuttle service out if Havana Moon was terrible, waited 45 min

Service SUPER SLOW!! Ordered the special, Roast Suckling Pig. Over 1 hr for salad(with no dressing). Main course 1 hr 40 minutes. I got a plate load of ribs, rib meat and skin. Disgusting.

At least they comp’d the desert.

Second time at Havana Moon and the service was Very good and fresh food! Nice table facing the ocean and were seat as soon we walk in.

We waited over an hour for our food. The salmon was ordered to be medium and came raw. The steak was tough and full of gristle.

We ate at Havana Moon the last night of our stay at Vidanta. It was a disappointing experience. The shrimp was overcooked and not deveined. The chicken was bland and overcooked. No one enjoyed their dinner. Overall the food at Vidanta was excellent but Havana Moon has a lot of room for improvement. Friendly staff and service but the food is lacking. Ambiance outside is beautiful on the ocean. We ate inside to escape the mosquitoes and inside is pretty drab with poor ambiance and bad lighting.

We ate at Havana Moon Oct 26 as well. If we were asked to rate our experience for that night it would be 5 out of 5 right across the board.
Unfortunately on the 27th it was much busier. One of our meals was burnt and another catch of the day was also over cooked and dry. I’m sure the waiters did their best but they just couldn’t keep up to the demand that night. Drinks were forgotten, and salads ordered were missed.

The evening was excellent we were dining with friends staying with us and we all enjoyed our meals. The food and service was fantastic.
Miguel and Yassir were very gracious and treated us extremely well.

Best dinner we had at the Vidanta NV resort. Great sunset view.

The restaurant is closed. So are 7 others at Vidanta along with a number of pools. They don't tell you this until it's time to go to the restaurant. Concierge and reception useless.

The braised beef was wonderful!!!!

Had a wonderful experience here. Food was excellent. View of is amazing. This was our best dinner of vacation.

Service and food was great. The only thing my wife and I didn’t like was the coffees. We ordered a traditional cafe con leche which we’ve had numerous times in Cuban restaurants and when it came out it wasn’t hot enough and it looked like a cappuccino which our friend ordered.

The catch of the day steamed inside a banana leaf was out of this world !
And the coconut shrimp on a bed of sweet potatoes was delicious!!!!
And such an added bonus .... we didn’t plan to see the most beautiful sunset and BAM! there it was!!!!

My husband and I went here for our first dinner date night on our vacation. It was wonderful. The staff is very friendly and makes sure that you are comfortable. The food was very delicious!

The chicken was dry and tough and I'm sorry but serving mash potatoes to me instead of plantains is insulting.
Not impressed .
Also seared tuna should be just that and not cooked through.
Oh well live and learn.

@Vidanta resort don't recommend this one on your top places to eat.
