As a vegetarian and lactose intolerant - there wasn't actually anything on the menu I could safely eat. However, the lunch meeting was such - I felt I had to eat.

I LOVE gnocchi - so I had that dish - which had a herb ricotta through it. The gnocchi was perfect - and really was lovely. It just wasn't good for me!!

Please consider adding another dish to the range?

It doesn’t matter where else I eat I always return to Harvey’s. It is totally reliable in every way and the staff makes you feel so welcome.Don’t miss it in James Street.

When we booked there was only the choice of 11am or after 12, we had a movie at 12.40 so needed the 11am. Were not allowed to order anything off the lunch menu which seemed slightly ridiculous, but probably understandable. The waitress was quite rude about it though. Had a very ordinary mushroom, lentil breakfast. Menu is overly focused on carbohydrates. Lovely setting, just ho hum food. Disappointing and not sure we would bother again.

Normally I have a great experience but the blonde with the curly hair and accent seemed to be in a mood - I had a booking and was seated then when my guest arrived was seated on a completely different table even though she said she was on table for Simone. - then when we were leaving and waiting to pay she pushed past us twice almost yelling ‘excuse me’ - not a good experience.

We have enjoyed lunch many times at Harvey’s and continue to be delighted by the consistent excellent standard of food and service each time we visit. I have an allergy to some wines so am delighted that they have restocked with Shaw and Smith M3 Chardonnay 😀 and can enjoy a glass or two with my meal again.
The quality of the produce is next to none and the service friendly and professional. We will continue to enjoy Harvey’s as we have no doubt this standard will prevail.

Lunch was excellent. Chicken salad and prawn rissoto amazing. Wines a bit expensive.

Always great food and service! The chicken salad is one of the best I have had! So fresh and full of flavour.

I had lunch with 2 friends & we all enjoyed a different fantastic tasty meal that we felt was great value for money. I did order an expensive glass of french champagne & the waiter didn’t fill the glass full enough which was disappointing. My second glass which was Presecco was filled more. Overall a wonderful experience & I will definitely be back!

There was a problem with the payment for lunch. I had a gift card but not only did the staff leave me sitting embarrassed for 20 minutes while they tried to k out the system but they blamed the issuer of the card for their own failure. They were busy and were very stressed but they should have admitted their fault and been nicer about it. The food was very good ( mine) to not so fabulous(my guest”s).

Food consistently good. Service is hit and miss - sometimes seem short staffed. Worth it for the food, it can get very noisy.

Harvey’s is one of our go to places, food, service and surroundings are awesome. Excellent value and wonderful service. You can’t beat the pancakes for breakfast or the chicken salad for lunch.

A consistently special place for food and ever reliable service because the staff seem to have all been there a long time and know what they are doing. The food is reliable in quality and creative in flavours. The atmosphere is modern and airey. we only go there once every few months but i can see why regulars go there every week. very very good.
