I made a reservation for 7:15 but my friends and I arrived 30 minutes early and we were seated immediately in the best section of the restaurant! We decided to do brunch with bottomless mimosas and they were the perfect ratio of juice and champagne! I will be back soon!

The $40 brunch special is great. The food came out a little lukewarm, and the orange juice for the mimosas is the sour kind. Love the environment with r&b music playing loud over the speakers. Interesting and innovative food choices.

The igloo experience was the only option to reserve. Even though the weather was only 65 degrees or so, the igloos were incredibly hot. There was no sort of fan/ventilation but luckily we were able to be moved to a picnic table. The Oh You Fancy shrimp and grits was out of this world. Will definitely be returning.

Food was definitely not worth the price. Lunch and all day menus begin at 11 am which should be stated on their website since their all day, every day menu is not actually all day. I've definitely had better bottomless mimosas elsewhere so I'd skip this location for brunch if I were you.

Florida Avenue and U Street are saturated with the restaurants and happy hours ... I think I’ll skip this one in the future.

We were here for happy hour and overall the happy hour isn’t that great. It’s a $35 bottomless food and drinks but the food is awful And the service is slow! The food is like straight NASTY, and the drinks are just OK. If you’re going for drinks then I guess it’s worth the money, but if you’re going for food ... then no. If they’re going to make the food and drinks mandatory in order to get any happy hour special, then the food needs to be on point! They have shrimp deviled eggs listed on the menu but when you get them they’re just regular deviled eggs..no shrimp, no obey, nothing like what’s listed on the menu ... they told me that “it’s a mistake & Shouldn’t have been on the menu” The worst crab fries I’ve ever had and this is DC so there’s really no excuse for crab and mayonnaise mixed atop undercooked fries. The food and drinks came out so slow so we were there for over 30 minutes and with one drink & no food. The waitress hardly came to our table because she knew she didn’t have food or drinks for us 🙄. Eventually the manager came and pretended to do us a favor by getting our food and the drinks out to us promptly and bringing out the shrimp deviled eggs even those those were all of the things promised us on the happy hour menu anyhow... To top it off, the yelp app offered me 25% to “check in” and the waitress and manager tried to say they needed to see my review in order to use the discount... WHET?! Never again.

I requested this table two weeks in advance. We had to sit outside in this makeshift lot in a wobbly picnic table. The bathroom was still in the establishment which was down the block. I was highly disappointed and expressed it to a manager who didn’t care. I was told I had to request in advance to be sat at the restaurant and not in the vacant lot. Not returning.

I had a great time! One thing I would suggest is for the restaurant to return calls or even answer their phone. It is hard to reach a staff memeber.

Terrible experience. The iglus are dirty, the ambience is cheap, the place is insanely loud, the servers are rude, and the food is terrible (steak was dry, potatoes were raw). Not worth your money, its a scam.

The food was excellent. The service was poor took a hr to get water. The igloos are not worth 50$ a person as our tables and chairs were leaning due to the gravel and un even ground. I would sit inside next time better vibes.

Didnt think to mention their outdoor “winter experience” was in the middle of a festival with loud blasting music. Couldn’t even talk to my spouse for our anniversary dinner. No refunds offered. What a lovely place (to purchase a headache).

What a disappointing experience. I took my parents here after raving about it being a black-owned restaurant . As soon as we walked in, there was a party of about 6 waiting to be seated and we all stood there for about 5 minutes before being acknowledged. Someone finally came over to direct us to a seat but we couldn’t tell if he actually worked there as we had been sitting down conversing with a girl the entire time we waited. The service was terrible. It was evident that the restaurant was short-staffed but we didn’t get water until about 25 minutes after being seated. I had a party of 3 and we were set at a large table that could sit 8-10 people. It was uncomfortable and weird. Once we were able to finally order and our food came out, it was terrible. I had the Yardbird burger and it was still “wet” on the inside. Overall, I wasn’t impressed and wish we could’ve received better service and food.

The service was terrible - we waited an hour plus for food and when we got our food it was all wrong. Our server didn't know if things were on the menu. We wound up not ordering dessert because of how "backed up" the kitchen was.

Are usually don’t give bad reviews but this place was horrible. The food came out and the fries were like cardboard, the crabby patty was filled with filling, they are sangria taste like juice and soda, there tater tot‘s were greasy and the cheese on top was barely melted you can tell it was processed cheese. To addI paid for the special evening for the Outside dining in the igloos and the price for that was $100, I asked the waiter what all was included in the hundred dollars because you had to reserve it before you arrived. And the waiter told me nothing was included for the hundred dollars but the seating and the igloos outside, and I said that was ridiculous it was cold and rainy the night we went plus the igloos were all busted up the sides would not even close all the way to keep the heat in. It was not a fun experience and I will not be returning they only gave me $50 towards my bill even though I did not sit outdoors in the igloo. The ambience was amazing it was a great idea for the restaurant, but the food was not worth the money or the trip from Baltimore to DC.

We arrived at 8:02PM and waited 15 minutes for someone to come up front to handle the line of people waiting to be seated. We then waited an additional 5-7 minutes to be seated for our 8:00PM "reservation". Once we were seated, we waited 25 min and received no service or even a nod that we were there while the server of the section waited on other tables. The only person who seemed to care about anything was the guy bussing tables. He at least brought us water and silverware when we were seated. The restaurant was not that busy either. We were already super hungry when we arrived and by this point I was going into low blood sugar. We got up from the table and left without ever having been so much as acknowledged by a server. The next restaurant we went to had us a drink order within 5 min of sitting down and they actually were super busy. The hour we wasted and the ridiculous additional Ride Share cost we had to spend for trying to be patient non-Karen's/Kevin's had me wishing we had been less nice.

Food was great! Service needs improvement. We kept being approached with other people's food. But when we needed something, it was hard to flag down a waiter.
The place was very loud, like uncomfortably so. We couldn't hear each other talk. Would return for the food but probably at a less busy time.

Obviously can’t control the weather, but with those bubbles and no air circulation it was unbearable. Maybe add some fans to keep the air moving? Also there was one lone soldier out there serving six plus tables. He needed help but his attitude was amazing so we tipped well. Very disappointed in the ButterMeUp menu! We have had it in the past and it was great but it whoever is in the kitchen may need some spice lessons:-( chicken was undercooked. I love this place but that was abnormal in my opinion.

Whew, where to start.
Okay, so for starters, when you book your reservation through Open Table, they charge you $50 per person, when in reality, it is only $50 for the igloo. (the restaurant credited our meals to offset the difference).

Secondly, with the Igloo reservation, they place so much pressure on you to be on time with only a 10 minute grace period that they had me waiting for 30+ minutes to be seated. This was a blow because I was rushing to be there on time. LOL! Not to mention, the igloo is not where the primary location of the restaurant is; you have to walk up a block. With no waiter to guide you and to sit you down at your table. Self-service for sure!!

Third, once finally placed at igloo, we ordered the shrimp deviled eggs and entrees. The deviled eggs did not have any shrimp on top or into of it. When I brought this concern to the waiter, she said it might be pureed inside the mixture. 🤣 I didn't taste it, so she removed it from the bill. Another, my friend ordered a half-smoke, and they ran out of buns, so it was sent on a hamburger bun. 🥴 Overall, we were displeased.

Fourth, during our dinner, we had drug addicts coming inside of the reserved area, asking for money inside and outside of the fence. So recommend may be best to go during the day.

Lastly, our server was super friendly, knowledgeable, and very chill! We appreciated her accommodating us when asked if they wouldn't mind locking the back gate (to keep the solicitors out).

So this, about sums it up.

It took a very long time for our food to come out, maybe about an hour. Our table was wobbly. Our waiter passed by a few times but didn’t really come up to us to ask if we needed anything else after our order was put in. We were out of water and went without a refill for a while. Food was okay, overpriced though for the quality. Atmosphere was dope, but that’s about it.

Where to begin. We had a Gilt City Voucher which was worth the value as the food was delicious. The whole experience was just ruined by the fact that we were seated outside, the kitchen was backed up, they were clearly understaffed and running back and forth between the outdoor area and the main restaurant across the street. A server said hi and then 15-20ish mins later had not even come back. It took us 50 mins to even get water. The people sat next to us at about the 40 min mark got water immediately and had cocktails come out to them right away. An hour later we get our food but so many mess ups - entrees came first, only one appetizer came, then both were brought again, the food was supposed to come with cocktail pairings that never seemed to arrive with the actual food. We didn’t get silverware at first so had to wait to flag someone down for that. I was just disappointed because it was supposed to be a nice date night I planned for my partner that turned into a disaster. The server was nice enough but his priorities were clearly the pods which I happen to know have a high minimum. The manager was also lovely and did try to give us attention re: the cocktails and how we would like them made but an apology for how everything was going down would’ve also been appreciated. I’m on the fence now about coming back and so is my partner.

It took over an hour for our food to come out and when it finally came out, it was cold. Staff took a long time to return to tables for more water or drinks. The food was not great, was looking forward to the signature dishes only to be disappointed.

Probably the worst service I’ve ever had. Ordered eggs Benedict and no eggs, another order was wrong, ignored friends peanut allergy, took 45 minutes to get served/order, had to get up and find waiters to get refills and water. I will never be going back to this place.

My experience was okay, this place is more of a hangout spot. The food was ok. The amount of food you get for the price does not add up. I had like two drinks big drinks and was still very much sober(my friend was the one driving). the drink purple rain is good though. It is soooooo noisy. People are really not 6 feet apart, my friend was literally back to back with someone. Not suitable for kids. The pictures they posted look amazing but it’s really trash.

The host ignored us when we walked in. She also said oh when I told her the bathroom needed assistance. The waitress, Nicole was great! We did the $35 bottomless happy hour which was a wonderful value! Crab fries were DELICIOUS!!!

Ate our food in the outdoor igloos which is located separate from the indoor restaurant. I believe this contributes to the additional lead time for food and drinks. In my opinion the igloos look way more appealing in the photos than in person. In fact, I believe the outdoor set up could use a good cleaning and a few repairs and upgrades (I.e. replacing the torn igloos and stained artificial grass throughout them). Overall though the food and drinks were great and that’s what contributed the most to my dining experience. I think I’ll elect the indoor dining experience the next time around.

Did not realize when we reserved outdoor seating that we would be sitting in a parking lot down the street and would need to come back in order to use the restroom. We also reserved outdoor seating that WAS NOT in a plastic bubble but still got sat in a plastic bubble and it was so hot. They handed us a heater that was also a fan?
I see that they are going for an eclectic/funky outdoor experience but there is a fine line between funky and eclectic and trashy and weird. It’s sad because you want to support restaurants during the pandemic but it is hard to when the experience was not pleasant. We also waited forever for our food and paid for bottomless mimosas and only had 2 rounds because they didn’t come back to refill.
I understand it might be a lack of staffing but like I said, if you want to survive the pandemic you’ll need to provide an experience that’s competitive with other restaurants.
