My experience was okay, this place is more of a hangout spot. The food was ok. The amount of food you get for the price does not add up. I had like two drinks big drinks and was still very much sober(my friend was the one driving). the drink purple rain is good though. It is soooooo noisy. People are really not 6 feet apart, my friend was literally back to back with someone. Not suitable for kids. The pictures they posted look amazing but it’s really trash.
The host ignored us when we walked in. She also said oh when I told her the bathroom needed assistance. The waitress, Nicole was great! We did the $35 bottomless happy hour which was a wonderful value! Crab fries were DELICIOUS!!!
Ate our food in the outdoor igloos which is located separate from the indoor restaurant. I believe this contributes to the additional lead time for food and drinks. In my opinion the igloos look way more appealing in the photos than in person. In fact, I believe the outdoor set up could use a good cleaning and a few repairs and upgrades (I.e. replacing the torn igloos and stained artificial grass throughout them). Overall though the food and drinks were great and that’s what contributed the most to my dining experience. I think I’ll elect the indoor dining experience the next time around.
The food came out cold and mushy. We had to walk across the street to use the bathroom which was inconvenient
Did not realize when we reserved outdoor seating that we would be sitting in a parking lot down the street and would need to come back in order to use the restroom. We also reserved outdoor seating that WAS NOT in a plastic bubble but still got sat in a plastic bubble and it was so hot. They handed us a heater that was also a fan?
I see that they are going for an eclectic/funky outdoor experience but there is a fine line between funky and eclectic and trashy and weird. It’s sad because you want to support restaurants during the pandemic but it is hard to when the experience was not pleasant. We also waited forever for our food and paid for bottomless mimosas and only had 2 rounds because they didn’t come back to refill.
I understand it might be a lack of staffing but like I said, if you want to survive the pandemic you’ll need to provide an experience that’s competitive with other restaurants.
The service could be better. The food came out wrong the first time. They did comp the food but it took them hours to get the emals we ordered to the table
The food was very tasty, and our Waiter was very pleasant, and very tentative to our needs.
The lack of service we received was shocking. When we arrived timely for our reservation, we were sat promptly and did not receive anything other than water for 45 minutes. They had no Bloody Mary Mix at brunch and I had to go to the bar to finally get a glass of wine an hour after we had sat down. We were sat right next to a very loud large group, when there were available tables elsewhere. 3 of the guests ordered the bottomless mimosas, and they were given dirty plastic cups with lipstick on them. Took another 20 minutes for them to find clean glasses. Our food? Brunch was fine, nothing special, probably better than it really was because we waited so long for it and we were starving. At no time did anyone check on our table to see is we needed anything. I have no idea who out server was. If you want any type of service go elsewhere. Extremely disappointing experience!
I would never go here again. I had made reservations for Easter brunch and it was the worst service I’ve ever experienced. We sat at our table for 50 minutes without any coffee, drinks, food order or checking in. Barely any employees on sight. They had to go back and forth from the igloo tents to the main restaurant. Whoever came up with that logistical nightmare needs to rethink their plan. Never even got to taste the food, we left after an hour of zero service.
I have never been to a restaurant with such horrible service. After asking three different waiters and waiting 45 minutes, I finally got a Diet Coke. Food came after 1.5 hours of waiting and appetizers didn’t come for another 20 minutes after that. Also food was cold when we got it. Asked to speak to a manager, and his response was simply “okay I’ll give you 30% off” and he walked away. He truly seemed like he didn’t care at all and his response seemed to be something he was used to saying. Very disappointed.
This was a waste of $100. The servers ignored us the entire meal. Took 15-20 to come take any order. After our order was taken, we never saw the server again until it was time for the bill. We had to ask another server for ice and that never arrived. We did see our server pass by us a few times and he never stopped to check on us. We were missing silverware, missing a glass. What was also miserable. We had an igloo reserved. Paid money for it. Instead of putting us in a comfortable place the host put us in an igloo next to a brick wall. We pretty much cooked ourselves. I asked about the other igloos (we were the only party there) and told the host the other igloos away from the wall was getting ventilation and nothing was done about it. I left the place miserable and hot. I paid $100 for an experience and I got it. Just not the right one.
It’s overpacked, made reservations to be seated at a certain area but they moved us by a window, took an hour for a waitress to take our order 40 min for our food to come out which was cold and our drinks came out when we requested the check the food is not so great
I cannot tell you how much I do NOT recommend. The restaurant opted to use the cute igloo concept but management clearly overlooked numerous logistical challenges associated with that. It took over an hour for some of our drinks and all of our appetizers. When I told management, there was no apology...just that they were telling servers to tell tables that the kitchen was backed up, which is hard to believe since DC is 25% indoor capacity for dining and the igloos weren’t full. The prices were astronomical and the food was mediocre at best.
Usually love this place, but last time we made reservations for 7 and didn't get a table until 7:35. Then we waited at least 25 minutes just for our drinks, and the table next to us said they waited 45 minutes for theirs.
The igloos are not located on-site with the restaurant so it took an extremely long time to get simple drink orders and food delivered. The food could have been decent, but was cold by the time it made it to us. The igloos were damaged and dirty, and the servers were extremely hard to flag down. Over-all extremely disappointed. Also, the “deposit” for the outside seating was falsely advertised and ended up not contributing to the over-all bill, which was astronomical considering the all-around very poor service and experience. I would never recommend this location to someone else.
Very loud. We didn’t get seated until a hour after our reservation. Once we did, the waiter came over very rushed, rude, and aggravated. Once we finally put in a food order, we wait for over an hour for food. A Caesar salad took a WHOLE HOUR. We swapped out our glasses for plastic cups because they smelled like dirty dish water. As I write this, I’m not sure why we stayed but I know for sure I’m never going back!
Me and my niece went and really enjoyed our self so much
Went here for my birthday. Had reservations at 2. Wasn’t seated until 3. The food was cold or the order was completely wrong. Had to flag down different waiters/waitresses multiple times before we got whatever it was we needed. My friend stood and waited for a chair for almost 15 minutes because the one at our table was broke. When you order, better order drinks food and the bill all at the same time cause it’ll be 40 minutes in between your waiter/waitress checking on you.
Our reservation was at 1:15
Didn’t get seated till almost 3
The host left didn’t communicate with the other host so we sat at a picnic table and the food was not the best
It seemed like the team was not quite ready to welcome customers when I arrived for my 9:45am reservation. I was told they were still setting up the outdoor seating. This place is described as fast-casual and may lean more to the boozy/bottomless brunch crowd. The food was decent, but the service is lacking, in my opinion. The "outdoor" seating had a roof, windows were closed and was not heated from what I could tell. Once seated, I think they forgot about us. Took a while just to get water and then took another while to get coffee. Coffee was served in a paper cup, and when we asked for cream later it came in a tall juice glass. Not a huge deal but hints the place leans more fast-food than dining in. The server seemed new but the overall interaction was pleasant. Only the service was slow and got worse as the restaurant got more busy.
I had a reservation and they gave my table away. But quickly made up for it. The food and drinks were amazing along with the customer service.
Food was amazing and came out quickly. But once food was out, servers were MIA. We did the bottomless mimosas and had a hard time during our visit getting refills. When asked for condiments, no one ever came back. Overall critic: amazing food/vibe, poor service.
VERY SLOW. I had a 3:30 reservation I was seated at 3:40 and left at 4:13....
not one person approached our table after we were given water at 3:45. We weren’t acknowledged AT ALL.
I’m not sure what was going on if it was short staffed or what but it was a COMPLETE waste of time !!!!
It’s cute in the inside but ...
Wouldn’t recommend if you’re looking to get descent service.
Servers were very attentive and the food was really delicious and plentiful. Enjoyed the atmosphere. Even the restrooms were nice and clean.
they seated my boyfriend and I near the take out area. I had a reservation and still had to wait. also ended up leaving due to no waiter coming to us after 20 mins.
I had originally picked this spot to do the bottomless mimosas and meal. I called before making our reservation and was told outside area is covered (it was raining) and that the deal was available all day. When we arrived outside was wet so they sat us inside ok awesome, then we were told because it’s before 11am we can only order from two smaller menus (which didn’t have what we wanted from looking at the menu the night before) and we could add 18 to the cost of our food if we wanted bottomless. One of my friends had to order three different things and was told they couldn’t be made because they didn’t have all the ingredients. Once the food came two of us order pancakes and the waitress got irritated when we asked for syrup and instead of going to get it went to three other tables, had to ask the host. When our waitress came back to check on us we asked for a spoon she came back after walking straight to the kitchen and back told us she forgot the spoon. It took another 5 minutes to get a spoon. On top of bad service I don’t believe they are following Covid guidelines!! Condiments bottles placed on all tables and ours look like they hadn’t been wiped down in days!!! Dry ketchup was all over one bottle. Then when she brought the check in a vhs case it had a massive clump of hair in it. It took the manager 20 minutes or more to come see us after we requested to speak with him and before he came over the waitress and him stood at the bar pointing and talking about us! He apologized and said oh this isn’t who we are, when I brought up the hair he pulled it out of the VHS case and put it on the floor next to our table. He gave us 10% off and said he was sorry and asked us to come back. I would never return to this place!!! The service was horrible, they were not clean and the food was not even impressive! Find a better BOTTOMLESS place!!!!
We got seated at 10:20 pm and ordered drinks at 10:30 pm...we didn’t receive our drinks until 11:35 pm! Our waiter never came back to check on us after we ordered our drinks from her. Two other people that worked there came and checked in on us around 11:15. They proceeded to tell us that they were short staffed and our drinks that we ordered was no longer available. Why couldn’t our waiter come and tell us that?? Anyway, because of the horrible service, I probably will go somewhere else next time.
Waitress never put my food in and never checked to see if I got my food.
celebrated my birthday here and had the best time! the staff were all so friendly and accommodating and the food was A1
Made a reservation for their outdoor seating area across the street from the main restaurant. We checked in at the restaurant and were directed across the street to get seated — took us several minutes to be greeted by a staff member. Once we were seated, it took almost 40 minutes to get a drink. When we did get our drinks, the wrong drink was given to one of us (we specifically asked for Tito’s due to a gluten allergy in our party). We were comped the cost of one drink (which was nice of the staff) but it still took almost 40 more minutes to get our check, etc.
I booked this for my birthday dinner and well...
Still waiting for my money back. We sat there for an hour and only had a waiter ask for our drink order. Really felt like sitting in a parking lot next to loud traffic for an hour
Great location, ok drinks and service. The food was not good at all.
Good experience! Needs more food for happy hour
Like a large cafeteria with a bar! Food ok !
I ordered the pinky and the brain. My food came out hard and cold. My chicken was extremely greasy I had to order another one (which I was charged for). There was no honey mustard. The waiter tried making some but it was a very strong mustard taste with oil at the bottom. When the check came it couldn’t be split and the waiter brought back the wrong amount in change TWICE! I’ve never had a unpleasant experience with them until now.
Wonderful place to dine a d chill out with friends.
Took over 45 minutes to get first drink. Many things were not on the menu. Horrible service. Never received food
Bottomless mimosa special :) good food, great atmosphere!
Thank you so much for gracing us with your presence!!
This is no longer my favorite brunch spot and I will not recommend this restaurant ever again.
When my friend and I arrived, we were greeted by the server who kindly explained they were running low on water and there was a 1-1.5 hour wait for food. We were ok waiting. I could tell by the state of the restaurant that they were slammed. Once it was past the time we were initially told, we inquired about our order. He kept saying that he didn't know the status and we had to coax him to find out any information. During this time we ordered 5 drinks (total) to pass time. We continued asking about the status of our order as it was well over 2 hours. We kept waiting because the server gave us some hope and told us our orders were up next. Nearing 3 hours, we asked the server for a manager as no food had arrived. We had to ask another server for the manager because no one came over for about 10 min. The manager arrived and wasn't aware of anything going on. We tried explaining our situation to her. She gave us an update that our food was queued to be made. We wanted to leave. She offered us 20% off the 5 drinks and said that she would take the food off (which we never received) as well. We were astonished that she was charging us for drinks we only ordered to wait out time. We mentioned to her that was an unacceptable offer and we needed to leave to get to our new restaurant reservation. She proceeds to say that she has to call law enforcement for people that don't want to pay their bill. I asked her for another manager and she said every manager there was in accordance with this response. Law enforcement arrived as we were leaving after we just said we'd pay the bill. We paid AND tipped.
HS Ownership - I truly hope Angel is not your example of top leadership. I also hope someone from HS ownership acknowledges our experience as it was gravely ignored by Angel. This is not the time for unnecessary police calls because a manager can't problem solve.
Hair in my food. 2 hour wait for my food. Food that never showed up. Host was extremely rude! If I consider going back it would only be for my waiter Jake. He tried his best but his team wasn’t very helpful. Staff definitely needs more training on customer service. My first time here and I’m very disappointed.
