Really outstanding including the view, the ambiance, the food, the service and the architecture. The mariachi orchestra was a real treat. Do not miss this.
Preiminent location in Puerto Vallarta, but maybe not as breathtaking as reviews have claimed; limited view of bay, and no sunset view. Still a beautiful, beautiful hotel/restaurant, very well appointed and worth a visit. Service was friendly and fairly attentive, with good explanation. Food was well-prepared and nicely served, albeit on the (quite) pricey side. Minor complaint, short pours on wines ordered by glass. (Better to stick with a bottle). Good selection of wines.
Mariachi band - practically an orchestra - entertained. Very talented with good harmonies. A nice touch.
Very nice place, good food, would go back again.
What a great place - love all of it - the view, the service and the food especially the crepes - I will definitely be back in fact I am disappointed that I cannot get another reservation for this year so it will have to be next year! See you then!
Thank you for a great evening with friends . The whole experience was tremendous.
C’est parfait comme toujours.
Birthday celebration made fabulous by mariachi and dessert!
Lamb was excellent!
We enjoyed the brunch and the violin player, but the music was a bit too loud. Food and ambiance was great otherwise.
It is a wonderful restaurant. The service is superb. It is absolutely gorgeous. I will continue to go back every year that I’m in Puerto Vallarta.
An excellent ambiance with great views. Add to that excellent food choices and great service, you get a great dining experience worthy of sharing with friends and people you want to impress. The architecture of the facility is really nice with great gardens and pools to take great pictures to remember the evening.
Wow. Just wow. Go.
Excellent. Our waiters Salvador and Brian were terrific
Beautiful hacienda high up in old town Puerto Vallarta, that was once owned by Richard Burton. Everything about this restaurant makes one want to return and so we did, twice.... Great ambience especially if you get there about 1/2 hour before sunset and watch the skies change. Great selection of wines to be paired with excellent food. Their Chilean sea bass was exquisite.... Highly recommend this as a place for adult dinners. Also had great traditional entertainment.
Best restaurant in town and best view. It’s a must if you visit. I ordered sea bass and it was wonderful.
Fabulous musical time! Absolutely my favorite restaurant in PVR!
Our second time back with very high expectations after last year when we visited PVR. Absolutely no disappointment, a real treat! I had the Filet, tender generous portion done perfectly, my wife enjoyed the Angel Hair with shrimp and loved it. The service was very good and the view just spectacular watching the sun set into the sea. Later the mariachis added a great musical accompaniment to a special evening. Looking forward to next year.
Hacienda San Angel is one of the most stunning restaurants anywhere. The decor and views are exceptional, a classic Spanish gem. Unfortunately, the food is not consistently wonderful. This time, the snapper, though fresh, was dry and bland; appetizers of mussels and artichoke ravioli were delicious. Service is always excellent. So, this restaurant continues to be one of my favorites. I will continue to go there and to recommend it, whenever in PV.
My favorite restaurant in Puerto Vallarta! Stunning setting and amazing food!
Absolutely a fabulous dinner and atmosphere. . My favorite restaurant in Puerto Vallarta
Beautiful hotel and the restaurant on the top with a view of the city, and then the neighboring lights came on at dusk, fantastic! Salmon was perfectly cooked, and dessert and coffee ended a great evening.
One of my favorite places in PV. Love everything about it.
Overpriced and overvalued. We were expecting much better service and better quality food. Empty cocktail glasses were left On the table, the guests sitting at the table beside us lite our candles as staff seemed to forget or were to busy and the cocktails were ordinary. Could make better cocktails at home. Overall, a huge disappointment for the price. Restaurant seems to be relying on reputation and location. Could use some updating on all fronts.
Fantastic food, extremely unique setting in an old monastery with a unobstructed view of Old Town. A consistent gem.
Celebrated my birthday there and the entire experience was fabulous!
This is the second time we've been at the Hacienda and they didn't disappoint. Beautiful spot, great scenery, excellent food and the mariachi band was great. Be prepared to pay a lot more then other restaurants in PV though.
Hacienda San Angel is a marvelous Puerto Vallarta institution. High above the bustle of the old town, it seems very popular with local expats and tourists interested in its great view of the city and the bay, and its great food, and beautiful courtyard. We go there for special occasions whenever we are in PV. Be aware your dinner will feature an 11-piece mariachi band. Be careful where you are seated -- under the patio covering is better. Not by the pool where the mariachis play.
Delicious and delightful
Wonderful ambiance,good food, great entertainment.
The utimate in fine dining; magnificent view, professional service, exquisite food. Always a treat to visit when we're in Puerto Vallarta.
Wonderful experience ! Best service and beef in PV!
Even though I had made a reservation a month in advance, we were given a terrible table with no view We were a party of 8. The view should be the best thing at this restaurant
It was a joy to step into this restaurant for the atmosphere, the panaramic view, the food and the service. All were fantastic!
You will not be disappointed. The fillet mignon was the best I've ever had. The view of old town and the live music made it a special evening.
The Hacienda San Angel Gourmet is a world class dining experience. The ambiance, quality of service and exceptional dinner menu is superb. Views of the Sierra Madras Occidental Mountains and a partial view of the Bay of Banderas add to the romantic atmosphere of this wonderful eating establishment located just above the old Catholic Church in downtown Puerto Vallarta. The menu is replete with a variety of tempting culinary choices, and although somewhat pricey, they are all within reason. I had the Chilean Sea Bass and it was outstanding. Paired with a nice wine from an impressive wine list and a sumptuous dessert that melts in your mouth, the dining experience at Hacienda's Gourmet roof top restaurant is well worth the cost. Added to this delightful experience was a Mariachi Band with talented musicians and singers. I have stayed at the Hacienda's Boutique Hotel as well and that too was a memorable experience. Strongly recommended for a special evening worth remembering.
60th birthday! It was such a fabulous dinner experience
Need an elevator to access or at least proper handrails on long stairway. The view of the downtown area and ocean has now been compromised with a building in the way. Not as appealing as previously
Dinner was excellent. Service very good. Could have done without the loud mariachi band though
