Gustino Italian Grill - JW Marriott Cancun

I ordered the lamb chop at medium. They were tough and the sauce that was under the chops took away the flavor of the lamb. It was to strong for the dish

We had a fantastic meal at Gustino's as always! David our waiter gave us exceptional service and we had a fantastic meal. David went out of his way to make sure we had a great food experience. We look forward to coming back next year!!

Great food and excellent service... What else!

Gustino has an excellent selection of Italian dishes. Mozzarella plate options was wonderful. We add some prosciutto di Parma. We love the braised beef, the shrimps and the branzino. Desserts are to die for!

Julio our waiter is the best. He is very kind and helpful. The bar mender Vivian is a magician. She made the best margaritas and dirty martinis we’ve ever had and she showed us her recipes. All around great experience.

This restaurant is by far the best value in the area - and by "best value" I don't mean the food is good only relative to the cost; rather, I mean the food here blows away every Italian restaurant in Cancun, the service impeccable, and the ambiance delightful. We've eaten everywhere in Cancun. This is one of the few restaurants I will dine in during every trip to Cancun. Seriously, this is a great restaurant at a great price with excellent service in a great ambiance - well done!!!

Really wanted to love this place, but the two dishes we ordered weren’t the best. I think if I returned to this restaurant I’d order something more pasta based. I had the short ribs and my wife had lobster. The short ribs were dry, and not the tender slow cooked dish I’m familiar with. My wife’s lobster was somewhat better, but nothing special. The staff was friendly and very attentive.

You don’t usually look for Italian food in Mexico. However, this is by far the best Italian food we’ve had. I know good Italian food, I’m 2nd generation Italian/American. The pasta was fresh and the service was impeccable!

Why would you have Italian food in Mexico..? Well, I’m 2nd generation American-Italian and this place has THE best Italian food I’ve ever had. You can tell the pasta is fresh! Delicious, delicate and cooked to perfection! I had the carbonara- melt in your mouth!
Hubby had the steak on risotto with wild mushrooms! Believe me when I tell you it’s an amazing experience!
Top it off being at the JW Marriott-perfect dinner to celebrate our honeymoon ❤️

Gustino Italian grill was in our hotel, we went there our first night in Cancun and it was perfect. Very romantic and the food was delicious. The waitstaff was very good and the all the lit candles set the ambiance perfectly.

Amazing restaurant, great service and the price was very reasonable. Atmosphere was electric with live music and extremely romantic. I highly recommend visit this restaurant for a special occasion.

I'm not certain if they've had some staffing changes in the kitchen but my meal definitely wasn't up to the expectations I had reading other reviews.

The service was very attentive and friendly from all the staff and they have a wonderful ambiance with the candle and live music. The restaurant is also doing well maintaining the appropriate distance between tables.

Things just fell apart on the food. Our very attractive salad to begin just didn't have the flavors marry at all to balance out the bitterness of the arugula. All the components were there but something seemed to not come together and the burrata seemed tough.

My chicken parmigiana was far too thick and it came through in the texture of the meat with unpleasant awareness of biting through the grain of the meat. The pasta was really surprising in that it appeared they had made it fresh and then cooked it entirely to death. I couldn't even get it onto my fork without it disintegrating.

My wife's risotto and steak were better, but the steak did come medium-rare when ordered at medium. Not typically an issue for us but I had noted and confirmed that the steak is sou vide and then seared. As such we wanted to have it a bit more done to avoid that overly soft texture that can be present with steaks prepared this way. It did, unfortunately, suffer from that flaw and as such wasn't enjoyed to it's fullest as it seemed a very excellent cut.

That leads to the only service failing. If you find a guest as obese as I am leaving half his dish unfinished you should probably inquire if there was an issue with the meal, which didn't happen here.

We were given a very nice box with macaroons to take away and they have an excellent selection of wines to choose from which were both appreciated. Overall though we several hundred dollars for a meal with didn't enjoy. Hopefully, this was a limited anomaly for them.

Great food and service but absolutely no social distancing or capacity limits, every table was seated with hardly any space in between them.

Wonderful freshly made pasta and a brick pizza oven produce great pasta dishes and perfect pizzas. Well done.

We celebrated our 13 year’s anniversary. Staff decorated our table so beautiful. We had a great evening.

Great experience from start to finish. The bottle selection was limitless and they made accommodations to make chicken alfredo even though it was not on the menu. The pricing was fair and the service was superb.
