Great American Steakhouse - George Dieter

We got there at 9:00 they sat us down at the table at 9:15 and after they had everything set up they tell us they close at 10:00. We had to leave it was gonna be impossible to order and eat in less than 40 min for a reservation of 8 people.

Made a reservation for 12 and received a confirmation upon arrival we went to check in with hostess who informed us that she didn’t have our reservation. I showed her the confirmation and she stated that their internet had been down for several days. I asked her how long the wait would be and she said 1 hour. We decided to wait since my entire party had already arrived. They sat us after about 1.5 hour. Wait staff was friendly but slow. At one point we had a spilled drink (which I cleaned up myself) and used the glass for the dumped ice and trash. The waiter brought back the same glass refilled. I only knew because it still had large pieces of wet paper floating in it. Appetizer came out at the same time as our meal.

I would recommend the restaurant, but they do not accept Open Table reservations.

The restaurant dud not have my reservation so we had to wait to get a table

Server did not want to give us the 2 for 20 deal..that because we made a reservation in which we were never told. That was the reason we went there for the deal. Server was rude n not professional. We asked for more utensils and he told us he had put enough for everyone. I didn't want to complain at that moment because it was my moms birthday. But i was not satisfied at all.

Was surprised to learn that they did not honor dinner reservations through open table application service.
I had to inform my dinner party that we had to wait for table to open up because of this .

When we arrived we were told by the hostess not very politely that they didn’t accept reservations from open table even though their website takes to the Open Table App and confirmed our reservation she then put our name
On the check in list and told us it’s would be 10 to 15 mins. Two more parties of 2 walked in and she took them right to a table. When I asked she said well they took high top tables. Told her we would take a high top she seated two more parties that came in after us then took us to a high top. Once at our table everything was GREAT So fore the hostess and give everyone else a raise !

According to the management of Great American Steakhouse, they do not participate in the open table reservation service. However, with some patience and consternation the restaurant’s part the manager did seat my party in a decent fashion.

I would recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting the El Paso area! Excellent food, the best top sirloin steak I have ever eaten! Service was excellent!

Wonderful service, I love the ambience.!

Our server Denise was friendly and hospitable, however from the time we ordered our food it took close to 40-45 minutes to get our meal. Supposedly when you order the smoked chicken it takes awhile ( which was not mentioned when my wife ordered it) . We are a good group and still tipped 20% but the wait was a turn off and we vowed to never order the smoked chicken and if we go back only go during the week.

Love the Great American Seasoning, I use it daily at home...we replaced our salt & pepper with it. Love it, love it, love it! Always enjoy our meals at home and at the restaurant. Great service as well. Thank You!

As soon as we walked in we were greeted and seated! The waiter came quick and never got anything wrong. The food was served hot and fast! Overall it was a great experience.

Vibrant place; not fancy but good quality food and friendly service.
Reasonable prices.

They sat us in front of door. The cold breeze was coming thru. The waiter was inattentive. Asked us if we wanted refills after we were leaving. Only came to table to serve us. Food was cold. Waite was long. I asked a lady wjy it was foing on 28 minuyrs and statwd something about them making xhicken right when it was ordered. Very very bad service. When ask if we could have another table girl said oh that's all we have right now instead of asking us if we wanted to Waite a bit to get us one. Waiter ignored us and never came to refill. The money we paid for cold food and bad service is NOT worth the Waite. Will not go to your restaurant again. Famous Dave's or Texas road house is better.

The food and service were great!

We were very happy that the manager could accommodate our request for getting our food ready as soon as we arrived because of our short lunch time. The waitress that attended us right away served the drinks and all the appetizers and meals even though the employees had not shown up but showed up shortly; everyone was impressed with the good service she provided us and the good food. The boss was happy. Will definitely consider eating lunch here again for our next birthday celebration. Thank you
