My wife and I had the pleasure of staying at the Glass Light shortly before our engagement and looked forward to returning for dinner to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. The experience was exceptional!
I had requested a table with a little extra space and the host, KT, had us beautifully set up in prime real estate in one of their gorgeous stylized booths with a card congratulating us on our anniversary. The manager very quickly stopped by to introduce herself and congratulate us as well. It was apparent that she was very hands-on, with a visible and helpful presence in the dining room throughout our entire experience.
We had the pleasure of grabbing a few drinks at the bar before getting seated and were delighted by the energy and environment at the bar. Amanda the bartender and her team seemed to truly love their work and were balancing engaging with the bar guests and efficiently executing the carefully conceived cocktail menu with ease and speed. Amanda took the time to make interesting off-menu cocktails for us, check back for satisfaction and educate us on some of the interesting spirits she used. She’s a truly rare find and is born for hospitality.
Our service was attentive, conscientious and detail-oriented. Our server Dianne expertly guided our experience and helped accommodate my wife’s food allergies. She even offered us a champagne toast to celebrate which was a wonderful surprise!
We enjoyed the oysters, ceviche, duck, ribeye, and opted for French fries for dessert. We would absolutely order everything again.
I must say we haven’t had such a consistently caring, personable, and well orchestrated dining experience (without spending Byrd & Baldwin prices) in quite some time. Everyone we saw last night tried to make our experience unforgettable and it certainly was. We can’t wait to return.
