Gastro Bar By Martin Berasategui
Our sober and modern decor combined with these delicious flavors surround you in a cozy and relaxing atmosphere. An ideal space to live a moment of delight in couple or with a group of friends at night. Come and live a unique concept, it is open to the public located inside Paradisus Los Cabos.
This is a fantastic experience by a Michelin credited chef (3 stars, 11 Michelin stars in total).
The restaurant is spacious, the air conditioning was a tad warm the day we were there and that can be adjusted. The ambiance/decoration is very nice. The service was almost perfect, not intrusive, able to explain the dishes very well. Very attentive
This is a recommended experience for anyone hoping to get a hint of real european cuisine, right now, without having a waiting line, as it happens on this chef's european restaurants... it is true gourmet food, fine dining.
I really recommend it!
It was just eh. I would never make it a destination for dinner if you weren’t staying on site. Not a Michelin starred restaurant, just a starred chef who is definitely not on site.
Maravillosa, de las mejores cenas de mi vida.
Amazing restaurant - definitely not what I would have expected for Cabo - much more like a fine dining experience in Paris. Chef’s tasting was excellent, and the service was amazing. We would highly recommend...
Fantastic food, service and music. The team made us feel like we were the only people in the room! Every bite was special, distinct and amazing. Highly recommend the tasting menus. Worth every penny!
Wonderful service and explainations of dishes. The food was remarkable and would highly recommend to anyone!
The service staff here are very inviting and hospitable. My wife and I came here for our anniversary and we had an incredible meal. We had the tasting menu with the wine pairings. The food was creative and delicious; the pairings were unique and perfect. We'll definitely come back!
If you are a foodie, this is the place for you. The appointments are stunning, the service impeccable and the food was outstanding! We did the wine pairing which was well worth it. It is expensive, but you get what you pay for.
Google map has the wrong location for it . It sits between Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo, inside hotel Paradisus Los Cabo. We didn’t expect this level of fine dining in Cabo, so much so that we didn’t dress appropriately for it. However the minor discomfort quickly went away as the army of waitstaff were extremely courteous and sensitive to minute details. One of us had gluten and diary free diet. And that was all we need to mention. The waiters and chefs took care of everything for him, including the welcome dish, appetizer, his main dish and the special dessert they made for him. The foods are just delicious and delicate, sophisticated fine art. Truly truly Michelin 2-3 star level at maybe 10-15% more in total bills than restaurants around. The service - number of waiters and dishes they changed for you; even a speckle on table during dining they would come and quietly remove for you... just incredible. I would not want to spoil the nice surprise from the dishes so that you better come experience yourself. But let me just say that it beats many Michelin restaurants in San Francisco, CA, USA, and at 1/3 of price. If you come to Cabo and skip this place, you surely miss a lot! The only worry that I have is, like many other Michelin that are losing money, is Gastro Bar By Martin Berasategui still going here in my next trip?
It’s a very interesting experience. Super good service. Nice food.
Outstanding service, every bite was truly amazing, portions size for the amount charged is the biggest complaint, I don't expect large portions by any means just something a little more in balance with dollars spent.
Saying that an extraordinary experience.
Elegant and fun restaurant with outstanding food and service. This is definitely Michelin-style food in a fun, “library” setting. The staff were outstanding - coordinated as one would expect for a top-notch restaurant. The sommelier, Reynold, was very knowledgeable, and our waiters led by Omar were perfectly attentive. Overall, a really lovely experience - and quite the change from the typical fare in the area.
Todo muy bien, la comida deliciosa, regresaremos por un solomillo
We were in Cabo San Lucas, and this dinner was a really nice effort for a hotel restaurant. Great food, though some misses, and amazing service. Most of the wines were surprising and impressive. The reds were not up to snuff...don't try and impose mexican wine on a great meal if it's not up to the task.
This place is very impressive. You should probably be a fan of the newest gastro trend to appreciate the experience, but if you a re not you are in for a treat. But far and away the best part of the this dining is the incredible staff that works here. They make you feel very special and appreciated. I believe the mater de's name was Ceasar. He is a credit to the entire establishment.
This restaurant is unbelievable. Michelin-quality food, excellent service. Staff was super friendly, the price of the tasting menu was a steal. There should have been a line out the door but we were able to get a table same night. Loved it so much we are going again tonight.
Everything was amazing! Wonderful food, great recommendations from our server and totally worth the price. We dined there on Sunday and went back on Tuesday.
Wonderful service! Great food portions! Great wine selection!!
One of the best meals I have had in years!
I’ve been coming to Cabo for three years. Living here full time for one year. I consider myself a “foodie” and frequent many of the top restaurants in Cabo as well as I travel a lot for business so get to experience restaurants in many cities like NYC, LA, Miami just to name a few.
I can’t believe it took me this long to discover this one. I recommend it to anyone that appreciates the art of a meal.
I had the tasting and wine pairing and every course was nothing short of amazing
Outstanding service starting from the moment I dropped the car with the valet. Five star crew, waiter, hostess, maitre, sommelier.
What about be greeted by your name in the entrance of the restaurant?
For sure a place to be visited again.
You'd do well to forget Gastro Bar. Their customer treatment is second rate. We, a 75-year old couple, had dinner, dessert and a modest bottle of red wine. I didn't check my bill carefully. Riding back to our hotel I thought the bill seemed excessive. Did the math and somehow a 5600 peso meal plus a 20% tip became almost 9300 pesos. Called immediately and was told they would check it and correct it as appropriate. Nothing happened. Through emails and phone calls initiated by me over the next six weeks I learned that a bottle of Moet & Chandon had been charged to us. Gastro Bar never replied back. Apparently they chose to believe either we forgot we ordered and drank another bottle of wine or we are liars out to steal from them. Most reasonable explanation is the waiter charged us by mistake for an item ordered by another table but they won't admit it. Customers shouldn't have to put up with this. There are many fine restaurants in Los Cabos. Patronize any of them and give this one a pass.
The menu is interesting and our server did a great job of explaining it. The appetizers were outstanding. The risotto (called "creamy rice with seafood") was delicious, but we could have shared it. The wine list is a bit pricey. Beautiful space and lovely staff. Really enjoyed it.
Buena comida, el ambiente es “Nice”, muy bueno el servicio, pero la relación precio/ costo beneficio no es
Good value for gastronomic experience. Similar caliber would be at least 30% more expensive in the States.
