If it were not for the food I would have been very disappointed in my stay at Gallatin River Lodge. Upon arrival we met the chef and his passion for food shines through in every dish. The servers were over taxed that night with an event outside so service was a little lacking, particularly in the bar on arrival. For dinner, we had the beef and duck dishes. Each prepared flawlessly. Wine selections were very good. Dessert was excellent - the house made marshmallow was divine.

Absolutely fabulous restaurant/bar. The location is quiet and tranquil. Beautiful outdoor space to have dinner or a drink. Cute bar for a drink before dinner. Food was absolutely off the chart!. The halibut was fresh and cooked to perfection. Bone in short ribs were tender and juicy. Service was I attentive but not true. We would definitely visit this restaurant again in the area.

The food was good. The music was too loud to easily have a conversation and we had to ask that it be turned down. The main problem was flies as we ate outside. There seemed to be no attempt by management to control the fly population. It would be helpful for them to install commercial fly traps used in other restaurants.

Our dinner at the Gallatin River Lodge was a treat in every way. First, the view and the ambience will immediately put you in a relaxed and happy state. Our server, Pat, was a delight and incredibly helpful with the menu and some food restrictions I have. We had the Tuna Tataki appetizer and the grilled olives. I don’t typically love olives, but these were really delicious. The chef was incredibly accommodating, changing one of the sauces on the duck to fit a food allergy for me. I don’t know what it tastes like in its regular menu, but it was delicious with the substitution that he made and I was very appreciative. My husband had the bone in short rib and I stole more than one bite of it because it was incredible. When we had questions on a bottle of wine, the sommelier recommended the perfect bottle. It was one that we were not familiar with, but it was an excellent choice for both of us. We topped off our evening with the crème brûlée with blueberries and huckleberries, and it was just as good as the rest of the meal. It was getting close to sunset as we finished and we took a walk out in the beautiful meadow and to the trout pond that had been our view during dinner. We enjoyed watching several water birds and baby beavers swimming in the pond. The view and the sunset were the perfect ending to our last night in town. I highly recommend the Gallatin River Lodge if you’re looking for a beautiful place with great service and amazing food. It’s an experience you won’t want to miss.

The setting of the Gallatin River Lodge in the country side was serene and peaceful. We were greeted warmly upon entrance into the restaurant. Our server, Shannon, was delightful and very knowledgeable and efficient. The food definitely was gourmet and prepared perfectly! We had a great wine to accompany the meal. I do recommend finishing the meal with the decadent crème brûlée. What a fantastic evening celebrating my Biyand and the anniversary of the couple with us.! We definitely would go back again.

We came here a year ago with our nephew and really enjoyed it. We made a reservation recently and the table wasn’t ready when we got there. We waited outside on the patio, no offer of a drink, I had to go in after 15 minutes to see if they’d forgotten about us. Once we sat down, service was indifferent. They were out of 2 entrees and the wine I wanted. It’s a beautiful setting, but we won’t be going back.
