Extremely loud music that the waiters were not able to change /control. Ambience was more like Chihuahua Charlie’s than an upscale restaurant. Waiters we’re running all over the restaurant trying to take care of patrons. Very disappointing experience. I have only written one negative review for a restaurant prior to this one. Do not waste your time or money.

Vacation dining. It was a wonderful dinner. The fish dip was delicious. The pureed potatoes are a must!! The fish and chips were also very good. We did not have any bad food. It was all delicious. The desserts — the ice cream and churros were also a plus. Atmosphere was lovely — we sat outside and there was a DJ, who played some great tunes. Highly recommend.

Food especially mains are overpriced. Filet mignon was chewy and not at all tender. Lobster tail even worse.
Catch of the day a grouper was nicely presented but very dry. Wine by the glass expensive and definitely not 150 ml in the glass. Nice location with great views and sunset. But food unfortunately disappointing.

Really fabulous service. Very good food. My only complaint was that the live music was way too loud at first. I did ask them to lower the volume and they did. It was still loud, but not overly so. I would have preferred much lower volume so we could easily have a conversation.

Derick was our server and he was very nice and attentive. The supporting staff always kept out water full. I would definitely go back to Fred’s, this was our third time and it was just as good as our first. There was also live music which was really fun to listen to while enjoying the amazing food and looking out over the water at the sunset.

Everything we ate was delicious!
We started with appetizers; the warm octopus, the shrimp ceviche and tuna carpaccio. The portions are large for appetizer. We shared the grouper for dinner entree and that was large as well. It was a Friday night and there was live music a singer and guitar player so beautiful. We really enjoyed our evening out.

Food wasn’t good, took forever to come. I wasn’t satisfied with the taste or quality either.

This was the only restaurant in Cozumel we did not enjoy. The seafood tasted fishy and was not fresh. The service was terrible. The cocktails were unique and very flavorful, however. The views are good from the patio.

Just okay - service was a little slow food was good not great - menu didn’t have much variety.

Loved the place! The ambiance was great! Food was excellent, delicious. Fred’s House has great chefs!! But most of all the music/ noise was awesome in volume. Ee were able to talk and have conversations without straining our voices.

My boyfriend and I went to Fred's one night while in Cancun to celebrate my birthday. The restaurant knew that it was my birthday and the hostess confirmed it on our way in. While we were there, there were two other tables celebrating birthdays in which the staff came to the table, sang and presented them with a dessert. This however never happened during our dinner. I would not have felt slighted by this if it were not for the fact that the service was awful and our waiter seemed to avoid our table at all costs. That along with the food only being mediocre and not worth the price made this a dining experience that I would not recommend to a friend or ever want to experience again.

Went to Mexico and went to this restaurant as our last meal for the country. It was recommended by locals and it was not a disappointment. It was delicious. They were covid friendly. Checked out temps and offered sanitizers. They had a rack for your purse to keep it off the chairs or the table. The food was delicious they gave us samples of some chef specials. The price was good and we were able to order for the table to share. Will definitely come here again if i was in Cancun. I

Enjoyed a couple of meals during our stay in Cancun. Each time the service was outstanding and the selection and quality of food just as good. Beautiful setting overlooking the lagoon. Mist appreciative staff and management. Highly recommend and looking forward to returning when next in Cancun

We loved it so much we went back two nights in a row. The food and service are excellent. The noise level was fine but for the xylophone players nearby for a couple of songs. We’ll be back next time in Cancun!

Service was almost too over the top - lots of attempts to upsell. View was beautiful and food was delicious.

Food was was incredible. Surf and turf was big and best I ever had. Ceviche was unbelievable.
