Delightful wine bar with delicious food. Very small restaurant with indoor and outdoor dining so recommend reservations so that you won't be disappointed. Enthusiastically recommend and will return.
We went to there for my husband birthday and food was amazing and service was perfect!! I’d like to go again!!!
Great service and food selection! Our food was delicious. Would definitely recommend!
I've never had a negative experience at Foxtail. The place, food, and people are amazing.
Foxtail was a cute little spot that my friends and I enjoyed only negative was it was extremely hot inside there.
The best food I’ve had out in a VERY long time. Absolutely delicious.
A small jewel in Phoebus with unique menu items. Very fresh food. We will go back.
It was very warm inside on the night we went. Did not seem to be any AC. Also, I know its a wine bar, but it would've been nice if they had more dessert selections. Overall, it is a nice place, especially for the younger crowd (I'm in my 40s).
Food was great. Drinks were great. Our only negative is they have a table for two in window which not the best. It is literally a “hot” spot. They moved us to n outside table which made the experience awesome. Great place and will def be back.
Owners and staff were nice. They just open and are new to the seen but food is ok. Need more seasoning in there food. Overall quality was good. Wine Selection was great.
Wonderful little gem in Phoebus. It's a tapas style restaurant with an extensive wine menu and an extremely friendly staff. We even got to meet the owner who was extremely personable. I'll be back for sure.
Really enjoyed it. Great food and wine, and the service was fantastic.
Food was delicious. Service extremely slow and terrible.
We reserved outside. It was comfortable seating BUT everyone needs to be aware it is on the street, so a lot of traffic and car fumes.
Great little gem in Phoebus. We will definitely be back!
The service was fabulous and the food was AMAZING! Beautiful outdoor seating and overall good environment
This was our fourth trip to Fox Tail and we will continue to return. Wonderful wine, food and staff. There is no place better for a romantic and fun occasion.
Great selection of wines. Outdoor seating area was great. Very relaxing.
Food quality and taste was excellent, but portion sizes were too small. Caesar salad was excellent, and crab dip was remarkable. However crab chowder was exceptionally small for the price. Varieties of wines by the glass were interesting, though the wine list is already outdated with several wines dropped and replaced. Service was good though small size of the various serving areas made atmosphere a bit hectic.
It was our first time at Fox Tail Wine Bar and we had been looking at trying it. We jumped on and get a last minute reservation and it did not disappoint.
Most restaurants are struggling to find staff and I'm sure this establishment is in the same boat; our server seemed bothered by almost everything. One of the owner's was checking on everyone and was very attentive. We sat outside next to the sidewalk, the seating was nice but not really conducive to eating. The food was good but the portions were not what I would expect for the cost.
A broad assortment of wine - something for everyone's pallet. An interesting but limited selection of excellent food. Highly recommend the charcuterie board and the pork belly. This has become the new go-to spot for date night.
Fantastic service, amazing food, and exceptional wine. It’s a MUST try!
Amazing food. Great environment. A little pricey but overall amazing.
The outdoor seating that takes a street parking spot was not enjoyable with the bumper to bumper traffic literally beside us. I was made to leave even though we were still ordering because our 1hr reservation was up, even though nothing on the website stated only 1hr seating. We were not 6 foot distanced and my seat was partially taken by the umbrella that could not be moved so 2 grown adults shared one cushion.
What I liked, the wine. The owners and most staff were personable and warm. The meal was well prepared but small portions left hungry. I asked to order dessert and was told our reservation was up, so went to another restaurant were they accommodated us and had another cocktail and met the staff. Not likely to return. The area offers a lot of great establishments.
Great food, restaurant AC was not working well and it was a little hot. The Sommelier was great and helpful. Cute little place. The owners and chef were personable. Brought out the wrong entree for my bf but not a big issue as we weren’t in a hurry. Great food but small portions (not an issue fir me but my bf complained a little). We’ll return again.
The owner in the Chefs jacket should be less concerned with his phone and the room with the band and more concerned about how his kitchen is running. We waited 45 minutes for our starter, 40 minutes for our salad course, and were surprised our entree even showed up. There is no rhythm to the wait staff, our waiter/sommelier was always interrupted because the wait staff (backs) didn't know where to serve food coming out of the kitchen. One entree was so dry we complained and we weren't charged, so someone there knows the right thing to do. But if you are going to be written up in a magazine, you should be worthy and ready for it.
My husband and I were looking for a romantic restaurant to celebrate our anniversary and we were recommended by Justin Ramos one of the owners. Once I saw it was veteran owned and I would be supporting a local restaurant I knew I had to check them out. We were not disappointed. We were treated with 2 of their house drinks when we arrived which omg so good and the flavors are off the charts. Their house drinks are amazing. The Bread was incredibly crunchy and fresh and warm just makes you smile, the jams that pair with the bread is delicious. Now, the entrees were so GOOD I usually like to do the foodie thing a take a picture of my food but I couldn't waste another minute and just had to taste the first bite and the next thing I know I finished the while plate, so did my husband. He had the scallops and he said not only did it fill him up but it melts in your mouth, the best he's ever had. We were lucky enough to speak with Mr. Ramos for a few sec and he was incredibly kind to us and we are so grateful for his kindness and recommendation to his incredibly restaurant. We plan to visit again with our in law's and recommend this restaurant to everyone.
Small establishment but very nice food and definitely has great wine. Very attentive service
We had a wonderful time. Service, food, wine - all great.
Great food- main dishes need an option for sides. Overpriced but the food was solid. If there were sides included in the mains- the price would make more sense.
We were excited to sip some wine and relax outside, but the music was extremely loud. The rock/country band was directly in front of us on the sidewalk and it was loud and awkward. Our appetizer was tasty, the drinks were a good price, but we left after 40 minutes because the environment was simply too loud.
Would recommend only if you know there will not be music that night, as it was not relaxing.
Took almost an hour to get our wine served. Very slow service . I think they forgot us. Wine was good , appetizer good but the entrees were lacking in flavor and very little sides. $55 steak was not good. Enjoyed where they are located and the music. Owner was aware of the extreme slow service and compensated us 3. Will try again since they’re new and they were nice when we interacted.
Fox Tail is worth the trip to Hampton and definitely worth the price. The food, the service, the wine....all excellent.
The food was good but the cost was very expensive for the amount that you get.
It’s always a pleasure being here with friends, I surpassed my bestfriend with a birthday event here & it turned out so beautiful & amazing, he really enjoyed himself. Everyone had a grand time & loved the wine selection & beautiful atmosphere. Be sure to check them out. Of course I’ll be back.
Food is excellent. Everything on the menu is outstanding. Great service. Cool ambiance. Love the outdoor space
This place is absolutely amazing, the employees are wonderful, nice & have great recommendations on wine if you don’t know what you like. The food is amazing the chef is so nice, the owner came to speak to everyone dining in & made people feel comfortable. Overall an amazing experience. Please check out this wine bar, is everything & more, as well as Veteran owned 😍🤞🏽🥂
Cute little wine bar in Phoebus. Not very big, but that adds to the ambiance, I think. The bartender really knew his wines and set up a wine tasting of winter whites. I usually go for reds but was so happy he convinced us to try it. It was amazing. My girlfriends and I will be back!
Perfect place for a date night with my hubby
