The fried chicken salad was the best salad I have ever had in my entire life
Incredible, would 100% come back again!
Our food was delicious and we enjoyed each dish! We had the fried green tomatoes, crazy corn salad, prime rib, and the beignets. Our waitress was very nice and helpful. My only complaint is the hostess, kinda rude and made us wait even though we had reservations. I had to remind her, that we were there…. Other than that, great experience and would definitely recommend!

Catfish is delicious. Wine list mediocre. Food is served on pretty blue & white plates.
The service was friendly but unfortunately very slow. The food made up for the long wait.
When our friends from Orlando were coming up to visit they asked for recommendations on places to eat, so we suggested, of course, founding farmers. As always the food was incredible… everything we ordered was phenomenal. Only issue we noticed was that opening up to full capacity post – Covid has given them a little bit of a hiccup in the service department.
The few pieces of feedback we shared with the managers working that evening were received well and they were quick to take action. For example: After letting them know the water temp/pressure in one of the restrooms was not up to code for the employees to be able to wash their hands thoroughly before returning to work, they immediately put a sign on the door. They were also super receptive about our feedback to add a changing table in the other unisex bathroom. And when our dessert took over an hour to get to the table because of a miscommunication/oversight by a new employee (btw the bread pudding is absolutely incredible and totally worth the wait!), The managers made everything right by giving us other desserts to enjoy in the meantime, treats to go, after dinner drinks, and coffee. I mean above and beyond service to make amends - the service level We’re used to with FF.
They totally saved what would have been a sad way to end the evening by going above and beyond and confirming to our friends why we suggested the restaurant in the first place. Josue totally saved the night! (also I thought it is a great that the partner/owners are working in each of the restaurants to help oversee the come back post-covid)
TLDR: I know coming back from COVID times is a whole journey (hiring, training, retraining, maintenance updates, policy, process changes, etc) but they are honest about where they are and working to get back to where they used to be… and the food is still EXCEPTIONAL. Well done We will be back!
Food was great! Our waiter was fantastic (shout out to Danny!!). We didnt like the fact that there were flies in the restaurant but we werent far from the door so, its understandable. A/C could have been turned up a little. However, we got our food quickly and it was nice being there for Fathers Day. We were also seated quickly.
I made reservations for Father's Day. He had taken me here once before and we both enjoyed the food. I took my daughter there for her 21st birthday, ordered the same meal I had before and was not pleased. My daughter said hers was just alright. Yesterday I was undecided on what to order but after seeing plates with the chicken and waffles come out, I decided on that and he ordered the chicken fried steak meal with a salad; we both got cokes for drinks since the waitress said they made their sodas in house. First the sodas came out in regular coke cans and when we poured them in our glasses, they had lots of fizz but when we took a sip, both sodas were FLAT and didn't even taste like coke. Next the green beans were near the point of still being raw; I could taste the rawness in them. The syrup was already on the table so I began to pour it on my waffles and it poured out like water; no thickness or anything. So now I have a plate full of liquid syrup that tastes nothing like syrup. I shook the dispenser and it was straight liquidy like water. After observing the container I noticed there were cinnamon sticks in the jar hence the strong off taste I was tasting; guess that was homemade too but it tasted terrible. The macaroni and cheese was so so but the noodles were these big old square flat noodles. I was expecting regular mac and cheese but thought it was weird to have green beans and mac and cheese with chicken and waffles; didn't pair well at all not to mention the tiny side of gravy that was on my plate. As for his chicken fried steak and gravy, he said it was just alright. He received one lil 2 ounce ramekin of THICK supposedly creamed gravy and none for his chicken fried steak. So I gave him mine which didn't even cover his meat. When he took one bite of the salad, he frowned and said the dressing tasted horrible. I tasted it and it was pure EVOO and I think apple cider vinegar with spices. We won't be going back because 2 bad meals out of 3 is ridiculous.
Father’s Day brunch for my husband food was good waitress was great however our food server dropped butter on my husband’s linen shirt and pants. The manager took care of the bill and dry cleaning charges. Overall I would return.
First my chair was broken at table then was food arrived our eggs was ice cold i asked for them to be replaced for my kids then waitress billed me for replacement.
Food was just ok nothing near great!
Beignets were not hot just not good experience for my family.
Must eat place in Foggy Bottom. Made Father’s Day very special.
Was very excited to come to the DC Founding Farmers because I had experienced the Tyson’s one a few weeks ago and it was nothing shy of amazing. I would absolutely recommend Tyson’s Founding Farmers over the DC location.

This was a great restaurant! Phenomenal food! It was very crowded here so be prepared to wait a little while, but it's worth it!
The service was great. Food was amazing. My friend had the crab and shrimp risotto, which I tasted and was the bomb. I have the lunch order of chicken n waffles, side of Mac and cheese and sautéed spinach, which also tasted great. I can’t wait to go back. Definitely will suggest to other friends.
Syrup was watery which messed up the waffle. They give chick tenders just larger than nuggets for the chicken and waffles which was odd.
We had brunch and it was DELIGHTFUL. 10/10 recommend the beignets and any one of the hashes.

Went in as a solo dinner and was given excellent treatment! Food was great, and service was great!
Food and cocktails were delicious. Place was super busy for an early Saturday brunch (9:15) and server was a little less attentive. Overall, really loved our meal a would definitely eat there again.
Inexplicably, there were two small birds living on a fake tree on the second floor - which was kinda sad to watch as they tried to escape through the glass throughout our meal.
The early bird gets the worm. We missed the Sat A.M. rush for breakfast by booking an 8:45 table. Upon leaving there was an extensively long wait line outside. The food lived up to its rep. The service was prompt and friendly. The experience would have been perfect had there not been a breakdown in communications between server and the kitchen (??:my guess), resulting in the delayed delivery of one of our four orders. Our server did her best to rectiify/reslove the issue to our satisfaction.
Solid breakfast food and not too crowded for a Saturday morning. Staff were attentive and kind. A bit expensive for simple food but worthwhile overall.
Service was terrible. They mixed up our order TWICE and there was a hair in our food.

Founding farmers was great vibrant restaurant, when we went it was very busy so service was a bit slower I guess due to capacity but apart from that was all good
Portion sizes are huge. One plate can easily serve two adults. Food taste just ok.

I had steak in a salad and it was super fatty.
Ordered the “classic banana split” and the banana was served separate form the ice cream and covered in some home made whipped cream that was gritty and tasteless.
Kids enjoyed their impossible burgers and husband had a salad with scallops. Yess THREE scallops.
Probably won’t be back again.

We sat with a party of 12 including 7 children. Our waitress was wonderful, helpful and knowledgeable about the menu. Great experience definitely recommend.

We were greeted by a very friendly host who welcomed us with enthusiasm. Was seated outside per our requested and they were still cautious to keep with social distancing which was nice to see. The service was good, as the manager were playing an integrate part ensuring guest were being taking care of from start to finish. Our cocktails, are food were on point and nice portion for the price. It was our first time, but not our last. We will be back and often.
