Double date with wife and her sister and boyfriend.. my wife’s sister is pregnant so I thought this would be fun to eat a lot and have an experience.. we did not have one at all .We felt like every time meat came thru it was an empty plate or server.. or the fat parts of the steaks.. we did not enjoy ourselves felt left out the whole time.. did we eat yes did we experience like the other tables NO..

I’ve been to Fogo de Chao a couple times before and it had been great. This time I can’t say the same thing. Service was horrible!!! Good wasn’t good. It’s not the same with the outside seating at all. We had reservations and we still had to wait more like 30 minutes to be seated. With the salad bar closed there was very limited options of sides. And the servers that would bring the pre-cut meats to your table would take forever. At one point we waited for over 30 minutes before anyone came by with any meat cut. I eventually had to tell a server to please send someone over. Worst experience ever!! Not worth the price at all. They should lower the price during this time because they are not offering the same quality service right now. Very overpriced!! It was very disappointing to say the least.

In these COVID times, these reviews need to be taken with a grain of salt. I've been to Fogo in LA, Las Vegas, Chicago and Irvine where my last visit was in Irvine under COVID restrictions. so my review is based on how the service was compared to my previous experiences. Generally, it was OK but not to the standard I was accustom to at a Fogo. I made the reservation indicating it was my wife's birthday but no special effort or even acknowledgment was made by the staff. There is no indoor seating and the tables are on the busy street with a lot of noise. Unlike Irvine, some of the cuts that were brought to use by the servers were already somewhat cold. Overall the night was OK and the servers were friendly and the circumstances were not optimal for service but at least they were open. However, even in COVID times, the quality and experience was much better in the Fogo location.

Poor service and food quality was below any standards or expectations! This was not our first rodeo at Fogo de Chao(Kansas City, Santana Row often). I understand having to be safe with Covid-19, however, the restaurant was at capacity, serving very limited food selections, and plenty of staff. Service was horrible, my husband who never complains- called over one of the managers to inform her that staff was ignoring us and still nothing changed. While we were properly dressed as compared with other guests( wearing ball caps inside and sweatsuits) it felt as if we were being discriminated against. We should have went to Fleming’s or Ruth Chris since we were visiting and celebrating a birthday.

Made reservations with OpenTable, however when we got there it was obvious we didn't need them. There were only two or three other families inside the restaurant. Oh well, better safe than sorry.

The service is neverending! Everything is brought table-side, and the moment you finish one cut of meat or salad, another is coming out! I LOVE Fogo de Chao

First of all i have dine in many other locations around the states and we were on vacation in San Diego . I decided to bring my friends for dinner that was their first time. Since we sit down nobody came to explain the concept, nobody ask if we would like any drinks or wine, just the food started to come that doesn’t make sense as steps of service. I understand these are difficult times with Covid but the runner were the best. Manager was rude also at the end . Just it’s bad to see that restaurant be run like that , but I guess that’s how it is when you become a chain of restaurants.

It was me and my boyfriends first time dining there . The food was excellent and so was the service . We fine dine frequently but we’re really taken back on the blurred description of price points . Because of the lack of explanation we winded up with a bill of $357 for just us two . We both said we probably wouldn’t go back based on that . We felt it was quite excessive since we only had one alcoholic beverage each and no desserts . I wish they were more clear with us on the pricing .

Salad bar items were served table-side and were mostly low quality and too cold to be palate-able, clearly straight from the fridge. Many of the cuts of the meat had no salt or were burned to charcoal on the outside. Didn’t even eat more than a third of it. The entire time the staff kept trying to push upgrades and alcohol even though I told them we weren’t interested. Not a good time nor worth the $150 for two. Would have been happier with just a stake at another establishment for half the tab. Quality over quantity I guess.

Waiter offered us a menu option that was far too much food for two people. We thought he was suggesting the expected a la carte menu. We ended up paying $200 in addition to the $60 per person, only realizing we had ordered a personal steak (meant for parties more than 4) after we had already eaten much of the buffet.

Immediately seated, instant service from the very beginning. Staff was friendly and helpful. And food was delicious. Their house drink was amazing and overall the setting was exactly what my wife and I wanted.

This place is run by a “CHEAP” Managment
They’re hoarding the food.
Very unpleasant experience
They kept bringing top sirloin and other lower cost meats while we’re asking for ribeyes, filet mignon and lamb chops.
The waiter kept playing the 7 minutes game with us, while betting that we will get full and won’t ask for the premium cuts that we were charged for.
This is our last time eating at this Cheap-run place, i hope these liar waiters keep their job for longer.
We paid what you asked for Give us what we paid for.
I had to ask for the restaurant manager and tell her that this was not right, two minutes later everyone showed up with the ribs and the filets, and the stuff we paid for.
Manager was awesome
But...
Not a good place to enjoy anymore!

My main objection to this dining experience is that when the waitress came around with offerings from the market table there was no shrimp and smoked salmon. I also was repelled by one of the hostesses at the desk picking her teeth with a toothpick. The food was delicious as always but I do have these complaints

I have been to Fogo de Chao before the pandemic and it was perfection. This experience was disappointing. The meats were extremely chewy and some dry. They are not carved at the table most likely because of the pandemic. The carving may have been the cause for the tough chewy textures. Every meat except for the lamp breast.

Service was great at this location. I know this is a harder concept to execute during Covid but they did a good job bringing around the meats but I think we missed out on some of the salad bar offerings. Staff offered to bring us different meats which was nice. I didn't recall seeing a bartender and all of the cocktails we ordered were bad, unbalanced and very very sweet, seems like maybe they were made by other staff and not a bartender. For the price of the cocktails I was really disappointed. Otherwise it was nice dinner.

I have gone to the other Brazilian restaurant on 4th street 3 times so figured i would try this one. (FYI, love the other one.)
No sea food unless you pay extra for a shrimp cocktail, the waitress were walking around trying to sell them like a shot girl at a bar. (the other place has crab legs)
Salad bar had almost nothing and the meat and cheese selection was not good at all. 2 cheese and 3 meats I believe. The other place has a lot of hot foods on the salad bar also.
The first tray of meat they gave us was dry chicken and sausage that was extremely dry also, we did not eat any of it. Most of the other meat was over cooked.
So 2 dinners 3 glass (11$ each) of wine was $166 I believe with tip almost 200$.
I did like the Rib-eye steak, that was really about it.
All and all I do not think this place compares and was very unsatisfied with my birthday dinner.

I had only eaten at Fogo de Chao one other time - in Houston. And I remembered the meats to be very flavorful, tender and delicious and the salad bar to be spectacular! This experience paled in comparison. The meats were mostly average - some a bit tough.

The items from the salad bar were very underwhelming.

Maybe Covid has forced them to change their concept to the point where it really doesn’t even make sense anymore.

Personally, next time I will go to a 5 star steakhouse and settle on a nice filet - I think the value will be much better and the quality more suitable for the price.
