   Overall a good experience - we did find the food to be quite overpriced for the serving size and quality. However the location was quite nice and service was very good!

   Had a lovely meal to celebrate a birthday. Food was great. The drink service was very slow. The only full bar is downstairs and tables upstairs.. server was pleasant and apologetic, but the wait was long. Still will go back. All in all a great place.

   We couldn’t have asked for a better date night. We made a Thursday evening reservation and arrived about 15 mins beforehand. I was offered the option to wait 20 mins for a balcony seat, which I took and was glad I did. Our server Hannah was flawless- kind, helpful, attentive, and professional. She was knowledgeable about the menu and shared some details to add context. The bartender developed a very creative menu, and everything we ordered was delicious. We split the Brussels as an app, the burrata salad, and I had the tequila cocktail. I ordered the short rib entree and my husband ordered the bolognese. I wish one of us had tried the tortellini. For dessert the chocolate espresso mousse was lovely! Highly recommend this for a romantic date night spot.

   We went in for our anniversary dinner. Immediately we were sat upstairs. It took at least 10 min for someone to stop at our table after we flagged them down. Multiple staff walked by but no one stopped to take our drink order. Our server only waited on us about twice the whole night. My husbands was was empty for a while before we finally flagged someone down again to refill it. Our mussels appetizer was disappointing as they tasted very watered down lacked flavor. They were mostly in broth. My Cesar salad had lots of lettuce with brown edges & again wasn’t very flavorful. The menu stated the squid ink spaghetti dish had heirloom tomatoes & lump crab. It did not, it had small grape tomatoes (some of which were soggy) and small bits of crab but it looked like mini scallops. The manager ended up comping our meal but we were so bummed about the experience as a whole & would have preferred to pay full price for an amazing meal. The place was not busy at all either.

   Located at the riverfront and with a view across from the NC Battleship, it’s a great location. Many parking lots and street-side parking available. Entire staff was friendly and attentive. Food choices were great, ranging from pasta, seafood, lamb and steak. The special halibut was flavorful and braised short ribs were a hit. Unable to get dessert, already promised the kids Kilwins… definitely recommend!

   Lovely atmosphere. Server admitted he was new and yet very helpful. Disappointed in Cesar salad--dry but additional lemon juice helped. And hard boiled eggs added nothing to the taste nor appearance. Calamari was great--breading just enough spice. Papparadelli (?) in the shrimp fra diavolo dish was gummy--would have preferred thinner pasta. Pricing very good.

    Overall our experience was wonderful. I’m light on dressings so I would now request that. The entrees were good yet I want to try others.
