The best sushi restaurant I’ve experienced in years! The quality of the food was exceptional and the entire restaurant was clean, welcoming— no fish smell at all, which was the first indicator of quality. The sushi and sashimi were buttery and fresh. I have celiac and our server Stephanie, walked me through the whole menu. It was amazing. They make all sauces in house and other than fried foods— nearly every roll and every item can be modified for gluten free and celiac safe. I cannot emphasize enough how fresh the fish was. The rainbow roll, the yellowtail jalapeño roll and the nigiri— just so delicious. Their yuzu sorbet is also gf and was so refreshing. Don’t hesitate— their omakase can also be fully modified!

My family stumbled upon Fillet Sushi by happenstance about a year ago. This is now our go to place for sushi/Japanese cuisine. Service is always great, sushi/food is scrumptious , chef is welcoming and thoughtful in his creations. Omakase is a wonderful. I don’t usually have dessert but I make room for their Croissant Pudding with Soy Sauce Ice Cream. I haven’t had one bad experience or one less than spectacular meal. Neighborhood gem!

T is the best, kindest, creative, thoughtful sushi chef. He expands your experience and senses with sushi and takes you on a journey with each bite. Eating here allows you to be present and have an amazing experience. Be prepared for awe and wonder of a national park with every bite. Present moment appreciation and gratitude for his art. The staff is also so kind and attentive. The entire vibe here is appreciated.

This is a charming place in the heart of Monrovia. We've been coming here since it opened. The service is impeccable and the chefs are amazing! The food? Once you've had Chef Thee's nigiri you'll never go anywhere else! Delicious! Do yourself a favor and visit Fillet Sushi for an amazing authentic sushi experience.

The absolute best restaurant! From the atmosphere, the staff, the food, everything here is top tier! Bonus points that they are celiac friendly, and I have never been glutened at this restaurant. I would eat here every day if my wallet allowed!
