Amazing! Great food, wine and atmosphere. The service was outstanding. Highly recommended.
Absolutely amazing , right from entering the door and being greeted, to the dessert and a walk in the art gallery after lunch.
Phenomenal food, drinks, service and ambience! Definitely a cut above!
It was an interesting experience based upon reputation.
For the cost I found the noise level inside unacceptable, we were reseated outside.
The seating arrangements are fine and it led to convivial conversation.
Whilst recommending the restaurant I would probably not return
The food was very good, without being unique.
Amazing food and atmosphere with an incredibly attentive staff.
The food at Fauna never ceases to amaze me. I need to return many times, I want to try everything on the menu. My only regret is that I can't eat more in one sitting. The space is festive and relaxed. Great place to go with a group or by yourself.
Amazing overall experience.
The food was out of this world. Everything we had was great. We had the broccoli appetizer, chicken main course, and churro dessert. I would go back.
A couple comments. First is that we were there in the middle of January, which is off peak season. Even then the place was super slammed and 100% booked out. Second comment that the seating arrangements are very long tables where various parties are all kind of sharing the same long table. A unique seating arrangement. Half of the tables are outside so dress accordingly!!!
There were a couple negatives. First is that the service wasn't great considering the price of the meal. Second is the only wine they sell is Bruma wine (the associated vineyard). If you want to drink wine then I would recommend bringing your own time.
Extraordinary, as always. David and his team always knock it out of the park. If we have guests in town for one night, this is our go-to spot. The passion and creativity of the food, the architecture and the overall experience of Fauna is beautifully executed. A not-to-be-missed culinary experience.
We had a really good time at this restaurant. It should be noted that all of the guests are seated together at a communal table, so you’ll be seated next to people that you don’t know.
Our meal took longer than expected to arrive. As long as you have a lot of wine to drink and don’t keep looking at the time, you’ll be fine.
Food was amazing, it officially became my favorite restaurant at Valle de Guadalupe. It’s on the pricey side comoares to other restaurants but it was worth it. The “lechuga” dish and the rib eye were AMAZING!!! Thought it would be awkward sharing the table with other people but it wasn’t. Not a romantic place for couples though. Great for big parties!
Fauna was one of the ladt restaursnts for me to try at VDG. Food is amazing, and I loved the concept. I”ll definetely be back. Our server Andres was amazing.
Is cool place to enjoy whit great company
Our group of 6 had a memorable meal one afternoon at Fauna. The service was attentive and presentation artful . The tastes and flavors of every course were beyond extraordinary. Two in our party were vegan and the chef prepared an exquisite separate meal for the two . We ate at a family style table partially outdoors with a gorgeous view of the gardens and valley below. I hope to go back and dine here again. This was hands down one of the best and most unusual meals of the last five years. A Must-Go!!!
Wife birthday, great customer service, amazing ambience, food was especially good. One of the best restaurants in Ruta del Vino in Via De Guadalupe
It was fantastic! Making our next reservation right now! :)
Loved the service and food!!! Def will be back
Amazing experience; best restaurant at the Valle and it’s not even close. Well done, will be back soon.
Great food, keeping all the Baja origins while still being innovative. Precise cooking, perfect presentations, nice staff, nice place. The only minus are loud groups of Mexican northern neighbours.
Service was VERY slow! The food was really good, but it was served in these big waves and then there would be long lulls in between. Dinner went much longer than necessary. Setting us super cool and their creativity with food was fantastic.
Great in every way, food, location, service, etc.. would recommend to anyway wanting a unique experience in the area
It was our second visit to Fauna. The food, as it was the first time, was excellent! The ceviche was outstanding as was the lobina! Our cocktails were tasty.
Sadly, the service was a miss on this visit. There were a few things that just didn’t click for us. Food was late, we were never provided napkins, sat outside and never provided blankets, though the people seated next to us were given blankets as they arrived.
We will chalk it up to an off night. We love the restaurant and plan to visit again. We think the service is normally better. And the food is worth the trip by itself.
This is our third time to Fauna and the second time the chef, David Hussong, was there, watching every dish as it came out of the kitchen, tasting many sauces, delivering food and explaining with great delight the concept behind the dish. This is a magical experience with delicious, creative food at prices less than half what you would pay in the US for a similar prix fixe meal. Speaking of which, do yourself a favor and go for the prix fixe with the wine pairings. Trust David. He knows what he's doing.
Food was amazing. Family style seating throughout.. did the tasting menu with wine pairing. Everything was amazing. Would definitely go back!!!!
Espectacular! Imperdible si visitas El Valle de Guadalupe.
Volvería sin pensarlo. La comida, el servicio, el lugar. Todo.
This is undoubtably a world class dining experience. The food is incredible. I’ve traveled around the world and ate at some of the best restaurants (including Pujol and Quintonil in Mexico City), the food at Fauna is just as good. Some of the dishes I had while dining there will go down as the best and most memorable dishes I’ve ever had in my life. If you want to experience world class food at a restaurant that will likely have global recognition someday, this is the place to go. And for the time being, at least until they get more recognized by the Michelin guide or others, the price is extremely low. To eat a meal this incredible anywhere else in the world could be 5-10x the price. Living in San Diego I always thought to eat world class food I needed to travel across the country or the world. It turns out I just need to drive an hour south of the border!! I plan on going back regularly and recommend this place for everyone and anyone who loves good.
The food is excellent, we are coming back for sure.
We arrived about thirty minutes early and was still accommodated immediately. Amazing views of the valley, particularly during sunset. Had delicious food to pair too. We had just gotten the wine tasting at Bruma and had a couple of the same wines for the pairing but they still worked well for the dishes, and being they were all local pairings convinced me to do the pairing rather than get a few cocktails. Loved all the incorporation of local culture and food. Everything was great, even the lamb (and I don’t like lamb).
Food portions too big and the price is WAAAY too high for the area.
Excelente ambiente y muy buena comida. Los callos con timta de calamar y la lobina fantasticos.
Servers were trying to speak in English, not well, when if they had just stuck with their native Spanish it would have been better.
It was amazing! The food, wine, atmosphere and staff!
Todo excelente.. y delicioso
Uno de los mejores lugares de valle
Extremely creative and well done food. The design is astounding, very fascinating and beautifully done.
The drinks were fair and after living part time in Mexico For 14 years I have yet to find a place that can make a proper martini.
Our waiter was very nice but needed some training. It was a week night in the off season and there were only 8 of us inside so it was quiet. I’m betting that when full the noise could be a problem as the seating is family style and the table very wide.
Anyway this restaurant definitely deserves a visit.
Excellent food and outstanding service. I highly recommend it.
Excelente ambiente y experiencia. Ofrecen un menu de 6 tiempos acompañado de maridaje, altamente recomendado para una ocasión especial.
