Amazing service, amazing recommendations, and amazing food! Absolutely recommend to others!
Really nice enjoyed the food good service and quiet atmosphere
Food was excellent and the service was great! Portions were excellent.
Went for an early dinner with my husband and we enjoyed the food and the ambiance.
Nicely done outside dining. House Chardonnay was quite good. We ordered two dinners and two sides for the three of us. The scallops were superb. Cooked beautifully and they melted in my mouth. The fingerling potatoes were somewhat bland and the Brussel sprouts were tasty but very similar to what we make at home. Overall very good service and a nice Friday night meal.
Birthday party and the food was great
The cheese and meat plate was amazing and my wife love the Farmers Flatbread
The food and service was great but I reserved indoor and seating and was seated outside unfortunately.
We sat in the library area there were mosquitos under the table the tore our legs up!! Which made for a very uncomfortable situation.
The server and food were outstanding.
Tried Framers Table for the first time and it was as good as I thought it would be. We started with artichoke appetizer and it was unlike any other artichoke appetizer we have ever have had before, hard to describe but excellent. I had Salmon it was cooked to perfection and my Gal had roasted chicken and it was also cooked to perfection. For dessert we had chocolate cake that we split. It was not cheap but it was not unreasonable, it is going to be one of are regular restaurants that we will eat at.
The food and service was excellent!
Safe dining in a calm environment. The brunch selections are great. Always a positive experience and the food never disappoints
I’ve been here about four times. Twice for breakfast and it was delicious!! Both times our waitress was Cherie. She is absolutely wonderful. She has great customer service. I felt very welcomed.
We had the burratta, a calzone and the artichoke ravioli and it was amazing!! We also had dessert and I can’t remember what it was but was good!
Casual lunch, it was very needed. Super relaxing environment.
My group just waited a while for food on a holiday so I understand why service was a little backed up. The food was amazing though.
We have been there many times for dinner and this was our first time for breakfast. We are accustomed to much better quality food when we go there. Our server seemed to be overwhelmed but she was very polite and friendly. It took a long time for the food to come out (50 minutes) and the taste of 2 of the 4 meals was just fair while the other 2 were quite tasty.
We will go back because we know this was just a one time oops for them. It was just one meal of many.
The food at Farmers Table always very good. This time was no exception. However it was very apparent that they were very under staffed due to the reopening from COVID. We had a reservation on Labor Day at 10:45am. The restaurant was very busy and many people were waiting to be seated. As we were waiting for our table, we over heard two other tables complaining they had been waiting an hour for their food. Our experience was the same. From the time we ordered our food, it was just over an hour before we were served. The waitress did not check in with us at all or ask if we needed anything else. My suggestion is, please don’t seat so many people in your restaurant if you can’t serve us in a timely manner. It really ruins the experience.
There didn’t seem to be thought to social distancing with table placements and there was no 6 feet minimum between tables.
It seemed exactly like how it was pre COVID-19 with the exception of some plexiglass being added to the overcrowded patio area.
Because of this, I opted for takeout. The wait was about 30-40 minutes for the food to be prepared and the order was incorrect. I noticed this once I arrived at home. I called immediately, wanting to discuss this error and was told a manager would call me in 4 hours.
UPDATE: I ended up having to call them because it was well past the time I was told I would be contacted. Their fix for the error was refunding a little less than half my bill.
It took about 20 minutes to sit for my reservation and then waited for a server half an hour and no one came by. Pretty sure the food would’ve been good... but that service was trashhhh
Food, service, atmosphere and value were amazing. We will definitely be back.
We went to celebrate my friends birthday. The food was awesome and even though we had to sit outside, they did the best they could do considering the times right now. We will go back for sure. I didn’t realize you could bring dogs to the table and the people next to us had one. She kept coming to our table for scraps. We all love dogs so it was nice, but if you’re not a pet person, you should ask to be seated where they don’t allow that.
Nice outdoor setup and service excellent
Food was great and experience overall wonderful for date night. Would definitely recommend to anyone who enjoys a rustic vibe/fresh food!
Serving staff was excellent and were responsive to every request. Food was good, came out hot and was filling.
Lower star rating is due to reservation and hostess. Made the table reservation 7 days earlier, with a special request for a particular area seating. This request was completely ignored, so why ask you when they don't comply. Hostess greeted politely, but did not even ask if we had a reservation, just seated us at an available table.
I don't see the value of using OpenTable if special requests aren't honored. Calling directly is probably more effective, since a real person can make a notation.
Love the new outside seating and service has really improved.
The food there was really good !
Enjoyed a lovely evening on the patio. The drinks, food and ambiance were great. Our server was very kind and tentative. Always appreciate the farm-to-table experience!
Great food and service. Wonderful outdoor, open seating. Perfect for 2020. I am sure it is even better in the Post Covid world. We will be coming back when we are in the area.
Our family has been frequenting Farmers Table since it opened. We loved it and it has always been our go to spot due to the consistency of great service and great food. That all ended yesterday. We planned to have a great family dinner and did not.
1) We were seated for almost 10 minutes before greeted by our server and given water (sitting outside in 90 degree heat)
2) When we received the glass bottles of water, the water was cloudy and had stuff floating in the bottle
3) The mixed drinks were horrible, watered down. The beer was sour (the keg had obviously gone bad)
4) 2 out of the 4 meals delivered to our table were incorrect
5) We had to flag down other servers because our server was not attentive (and the restaurant was not at full capacity)
I really, really hate to write this review because we LOVED Farmers Table. But something has changed and it is not the same level of service and quality. That is a sign of poor management/leadership and training. During these most challenging times when families take the time to get out of the house and pay for a nice dinner, that is what they should receive and we were robbed of that. I hope they make changes to get back to where they were before. Hopefully we will try again but honestly it will not be for a looooooooong time.
Best date and restaurant ever. Our dinner was delicious, and the sunset was almost as lovely as my date. Thank you:).
Excellent dinner and great vibe. We have been here before and will go back. Thanks for being open!
Great meal, everything fresh, well prepared, well seasoned. Crab cake, scallops and artichoke ravioli were standouts. Good service even with a full restaurant, nice job converting the space to meet Covid restrictions
Bacon was almost raw. I got sick.
Very nice. Really appreciated the plastic dividers between tables
We had an all-around great experience today. Our party of 4 was seated promptly. Our server was attentive and brought everything from drinks to food in perfect time.
I recommend the red sangria and the egg sandwich on sourdough.
We will be back.
Love the place - been going since they opened. Worth the trip from Eastlake to La Mesa for fun decent foof.
Excellent food and service! It is a little more expensive but the food is very good. The menu has some very different items which make it interesting. We took my mother for her 94th birthday and she really liked it. We sat out in front, which was a little hot with the sun coming down at first, but then it was comfortable. Really enjoyable evening!
This place is a gem, the quality and location is great. Hoping they bring more steak items after all this COVID-19 nonsense is over.
The staff was friendly.
For my starter, I had the Calamari, which was not cooked well. I couldn’t eat anymore than three pieces. For my entree, I ordered the Prosciutto Flatbread. The crust was too thick, there was an abundance amount of arugula, which tasted like basil, and the shaved Parmesan looked and tasted more like shaved Swiss cheese. The topping was too much, I couldn’t see the pizza. The Prosciutto seemed aged and not at all fresh. I was very disappointed with the way my meal tasted. I told my waitress I did not like the pizza. She didn’t ask if I wanted anything else, which was fine. I did appreciate the Cabernet but refused to stay for dessert.
My overall experience - I will not go back to Farmer’s Table.
