Ezio Room at Fiola

Everything about the restaurant was wonderful. The food was incredible and the service was top notch. Incredibly knowledgable staff and very accomodating. The only thing I would say is that reservations are very confusing, due to the fact that the main dining room is only a tasting menu, and the Ezio room is a la carte. They have two separate bookings and it is easy to get them confused for the same restaurant even though it is the same restaurant coming out of the same kitchen.
The restaurant was elegant looking and staff very polished. The food was good, but outrageously overpriced. For an Italian restaurant there was a paucity of Italian selections. While we enjoyed the meal, I don’t believe we will return
Food was really upto the mark. I loved the Burrata Eggplant appetizer. I loved the Veal and my husband really liked his duck.
Desserts were really creative and tasty.
A wonderful destination for a leisurely and delicious experience.
It was our first visit and I am sorry we had not discovered Fiola sooner. The Ezio Room is very quiet. We were the only ones there on a Wednesday night, but even if it were full, I think conversation would be easy.
The food was excellent and the service wonderful.
Exceptional customer service
The only other dining experience that was as excellent as this was at Restaurant Daniel years ago in New York City. I think that says it all.
The service by all the staff was excellent ,considerate and friendly. The portions were European and appetizing . We were celebrating our wedding anniversary and would do so again at the Ezio Room at Fiola.
Food was not good very salty overpriced and not worth the trip
Came here to celebrate my son‘s 16th birthday. He is quite the foodie but never experienced a restaurant of this caliber. He ordered the special appetizer with an array of raw seafood and caviar. Truffles were in season so my daughter had truffle dressing on her salad, I had homemade pasta from farm raised chicken eggs and truffles, and my son’s duck egg had truffles. My wife had lobster ravioli. All meals were excellent with spot on service. They gave my son a card for his birthday that wasn’t just signed by everyone, rather it had a personal message. It made an impression on him, which is hard to do. Finally, the mixed drinks at the bar or truly unique and equally fantastic. I recommend the vanilla infused Elijah Craig with pear.
This restaurant is amazing. I came back specifically for the lobster ravioli but everything was amazing. The waiter was exceptional and treated my children like adults not like a nuisance.
Everything about Fiola was delightful. It's probably clear to everyone but me, but this booking is for their small Ezio room (cute, seats maybe 20 ppl total) which has an a la carte menu. I was a solo traveler. The Amleto fig liqueur drink was fantastic. The burrata was very tasteful, and the combination of flavors and textures was really enjoyable. I had the creste di gallo. This was a very tasty, traditional Italian ragú with duck meat. It was very well executed. Finally, I had the cassata Siciliana, and this was also very tasty with a machiatto. For a single traveler, three courses is just a too much. If I were here with my fiancé and not having the tasting menu, I would order probably four split courses - split one appetizer, share one pasta and one other disk, share dessert, and I think that amount wise that would be perfect. The service was excellent and overall I really enjoyed it.
Our meals were good and the wines excellent. We had very high expectations due to the restaurant’s 2 Michelin stars. One of our meals merited it, the other meal didn’t.
The food is delicious and beautifully presented, the lighting and ambience are so welcoming and relaxing, and finally, the service is impeccable--the perfect blend of attentive and unobtrusive. I'm already looking forward to planning for another evening here.
We had been to Fiola only once before probably 6 years ago - we loved it then, but just never got back. At that time the whole restaurant was an a la carte menu....and because of my many food allergies, I have never gone to a restaurant that was tasting menu only, so I was happy there is the Ezio Room option. The food was fabulous; the only slight downside is we were the only ones in that section, so it affected the "vibe" just a little. But the food and the service were outstanding. And I learned they could work around my food allergies, so next time, I'm going to try the main dining room.
Most incredible meal I have eaten. Everything was delicious!
Average food with very high price and very rude server
One of the great restaurants of dc
Fabulous find, reasonably priced and yet elegant, food was sublime
The prices are misleading. 50g of pasta for $25 is not $$ but $$$$.
The hostesses at the door were so snooty that when they saw that I was wearing jeans unlike the rest of the clientele there, they gave me “the look” and “the nose”.
The waiters were professional but you could tell the personnel were “selective” in who they were going to treat nicely and who not.
The place is extremely loud and it’s hard to have a conversation, which was the main reason for me and my party to meet - dinner and a conversation.
We had a 7:30 commitment so our waiter made sure to get us out before 7:15. That and the fact that he picked me a good wine is the only reason I tipped him well (30%).
Overall it was not a good experience because I had picked the place and felt guilty for picking it since everyone in my party left hungry and feeling crappy because of the snooty treatment. I will not go back.
What an incredible experience from beginning to end. The entire staff where attentive and beyond knowledgeable regarding every aspect of the menu. If you like great service and amazing food then put Fiola to the top of your list of must destinations to eat, it really is fine dining at its best! Thank you Team Fiola for a job well done.
Good food, but small portions that do not warrant the price tag. Sadly, Fiola suffers from the same issues that turned me away from Del Mar. For the money, I can eat more food of equivalent quality elsewhere. I won’t be back.
