Steak au Poivre et Frites*
Grilled Aspen Ridge flat iron steak, french fries, sautéed haricots verts, green peppercorn sauce
As always one of my favorite places to go to.
Food, service, ambiance on point.
Delicious French food, chef owner kitchen is noticeable to your taste buds!
A piece of Paris in San Diego. All the courses were amazing. ET Voila is exceptional and a wonderful surprise to our visit to San Diego. We will definitely be coming here again.
Amazing the best word. Complex, wonderful blend and pairing of flavors. Great presentation.
Our first visit and not the last. The escargot with garlic and hazelnuts was delicious. Main course, ENTRECÔTE GRILLÉE AUX CHAMPIGNONS*
Pan roasted Angus beef center cut ribeye steak, mushroom crust, potato and corn galette, cabernet reduction was Devine.! Desert, MOUSSE AU CHOCOLAT NOIR
Dark chocolate mousse, vanilla crème anglaise, vanilla chantilly. So scrumptious! And, the service was stellar!
I think this may have been one of the best meals; of all time. The lamb shank equal to (or better than) my favorite restaurant in Paris.
Ludovic is a wonderful host and the chef and kitchen the highest level.
If only I could walk there :-)
It was a tremendous culinary experience coupled with a great server. I will return for future celebrations and date nights.
Delicious food excellent service only thing was no soufflé due to staff shortage but the creme brûlée was awesome..👍🏼
The lamb shank was incredible and the wine recommendations were spot on. Can’t go wrong with the Lemon Tarte as well.
The food was outstanding and the presentation very appealing. Very nice service. I would recommend adding some light to the dining room.
Overall, a very enjoyable dining experience.
It's wonderful to eat a real French bistro, with decent wine selection. The wait staff is unassuming and is there when you need help.
This is a great eatery, They really try to give a dining experience. The appetizers were terrific, Service the best. Where the falter is the food preparation.
First time here for frequent travellers to France over the years. We ate at a nice round table in the very pleasant outside dining area. The service was attentive and efficient. An opening Ricard was served perfectly as was the bottle of Cote Du Rhone and the glass of smooth Calvados at the end. The food was all excellent - the 5 of us tried our way round the menu. all the started were very good, garlicky snails and pungent Rebluchon starred. Juicy fine cooked duck and flank and entrecote steaks. Delicious deserts (the trio of creme brulees was excellent delivered with a birthday message piped in chocolate). We had an excellent evening and a true taste of France and will be back.
Et Voila is one of our favorite places to go for dinner in San Diego. It definitely is our favorite French restaurant. The food is always well-prepared with many choices and beautifully presented. The staff too is very helpful and friendly. I would highly recommend it!
Wonderful place!! Love the food and the people! Can’t wait to go back.
Food was over cooked. Why ask how i want the meat cooked if you will not do it? Over salted everything except the butter for the bread. The outdoor tents seating smelled like a rest stop. The only thing French about this place was the fact that the wait staff was un attentive.
Thank you Fillip for your feedback. We are sorry you didn't enjoy your experience with us. Our goal is always to see our guests leave as satisfied as we can make them. Please don't hesitate to tell us if your food is not to your liking next time as we will be happy to fix it for you. We want you to enjoy a wonderful evening in our traditional French bistro like so many of our customers do.
Amazing real French food in North park. Real baguettes and French cheese. Fantastic moule frite. Amazing server. Very good service. Delicious creme brûlée for desert
Good food and service.
Great traditional French bistro. Approachable wine list, excellent food. Mood lighting, so perfect date spot.
Amazing food! Service was great, tough times for restaurants right now. Best meal I had in a long time. Great menu options!
Friendly service & amazing food!
Always very nice and a special evening. Food is aways wonderful
Excellent service throughout our meal. Food arrived at the appropriate temperature and timing of delivery was impeccable by staff. From Soup, Salad to Main Course every item was plated by an artist and cooked to perfection. All ingredients were Farm to Table fresh and flavorful.
Glad to revisit this restaurant.
Highly recommend it.
Our first time at Et Voila and we would definitely return in the future. Service was excellent by Tania; food was excellent (both the prosciutto melon and duck confit appetizers) as well as our entrees (lamb shank and scallops) and desserts. They have been creative in their outdoor seating which was actually a quiet, pleasant, individual table setting. Extensive wine list. Attention from owner was welcoming and appreciated.
Best plump mussels and frites, Coquille
St Jacques. Wow! Service impeccable
Everything was on point! Delicious food to the impeccable service!
Absolutely delightful! Loved the food and service!
Fantastic food and great service, so well worth the visit and we’ll go back again. However, having lived in Paris, we were a bit disappointed in the ambience, particularly the music, which was decidedly not French but American electronic dance music. But despite being short staffed, the wait staff was prompt, attentive, fixed a mistaken order, and topped off the evening with a nice Happy Birthday greeting for my wife with her dessert. Très chouette!
My husband and I came here for a date night. We loved every moment of it. We had escargot, mushroom ravioli, mussels, scallops, profiteroles, and lemon tart. We also had a cappuccino and tea. All of them were pretty excellent. I especially enjoyed the ravioli, mussels and profiteroles. Warm baguette was a nice touch. It's not like the baguette you would get in France, but it was really good still!
The service was excellent. I love waiters who don't give me attitude when I am not ordering alcoholic beverage. I love waiters who keep the water coming, with a warm smile. I also love restaurants that give me fresh silverware for each course. It just elevates the experience. Our waiter was excellent. He came just at the right time, stayed the right amount, gave us the right amount and kind of attention. Wonderful.
We were seated indoors, with nice dim lighting, and separation between the diners. The divide was made elegantly, and it felt like a private dining experience with openings to other guests walking by. Really nice combination of being with others and feeling private space.
We highly recommend this place, and we cannot wait to go back with our teenage kids who love really good food.
Et Voila has become one of our "go to" spots over the past few years and they never disappoint. The food is always excellent and the service very nice. They go above and beyond without charging excessively.
This place is amazing! Great food and service. Can’t believe we took so long to go here.
The Turbot dish was awful. So unappealing. Dry little triangles with a grainy coating on a sharp puddle of tomato sauce with chunks of veg. Chewy overly salted fried potatoes globs served with. The table service was a tad overbearing and by the end a bit pushy reminding us that our $220 90 minutes of disappointment had come to an end.
Thank you Brad for your review. We're sorry you didn't enjoy our Turbot, ratatouille, pommes dauphine. Hopefully you enjoyed the rest of your meal. Let us know right away next time so we can have you pick another dish and see you leave satisfied. We haven't fully reopened our dining room and have kept our social distancing and partitions in place for your and our team's safety. That explains the 90 minutes that is loosely enforced depending on how busy we are, so our business can survive.
Excellent food and truly outstanding service!
Ambience was as good as it could be considering we chose the sidewalk dining (Covid-created sidewalk/street dining)
We've been here a few times. The food on this visit was particularly strong. The new turbot dish is very successful. The chef created a vegetarian pasta for my wife that she liked very much. The wait staff did well.
I have 1 gripe: the music. It was, I think, techno or EDM. My understanding is that the repetitive beat is supposed to evoke a comforting tribal-like experience. For us, admittedly older folks, it was monotonous and irritating.
Bottom line, go for the food. Worth a trip.
Excellent! Duck, mussels, macaron, mousse were perfect. Even the bread was delightful. The restaurant made a super nice patio in the back, to accommodate for the pandemic. Service was great. And the restaurant has plenty of details full of humor. Will go back very soon.
We have dined in many places locally and in many countries. Our dinner yesterday evening was great--all courses. "Tuesday Date Night" is a particularly good value.
Thank you George! We greatly appreciate your awesome review.
