We had a wonderful dinner celebrating my birthday in one of the private spaces! Our service was outstanding and the food always exceeds my expectations! The Sesame Caesar Salad is so good and my NY Strip was again perfectly cooked and just delicious! We love 1864!!

After being blown away by the "Speakeasy" decor and romantic lighting, we were seated at a very charming table and greeted by an exceptional server. This set the stage for an exquisite evening of dining. From the first taste of the appetizers, we instantly recognized that the recipes, preparation, and presentation were unexcelled. Sadly, too any meals, even at lovely restaurants, are about the same. NOT at this restaurant. The flavors were subtle but inspired, the textures superb, and the portions generous. As we're driving through the area, this was our first visit, but it certainly won't be our last. This is an outstanding restaurant!

The food is FASTASTIC! The service was excellent! The ambiance and overall look and feel of the place was cool and swanky. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Service was good but nothing special. Drinks were also good but nothing special. Ordered an Old Fashioned and was asked if I wanted a single or double. Never had that question asked before for a cocktail. Went with a double and received a perfectly normal Old Fashioned. The food is where this place really fell down. All the dishes were bland and flavorless. Their version of Mac and cheese was dry and tasteless. Their shrimp and grits was a flavorless soup of a dish, again without taste. Just overall disappointing meal.

Don’t read those other reviews!! I’m a Chef with 20 years experience. Food is incredible, owners are seen walking around talking to guest. I spoke to Blake who is the owner and has lots of experience he genuinely cares about your needs. If i lived here I would be a regular sad I live far away but this restaurant could go head to head with any restaurant in a big city. Food and restaurant experiences are personal opinion some people who have a peanut butter and jelly palate wouldn’t get this restaurant or what they are doing. If you come here and leave a bad review or don’t like the food you should just continue eating at Applebees where you belong. HIGHLY RECOMMEND
