El Meson - The Hilton Los Cabos Hotel
We had fish tacos, cornish hen, enchilada plate, mezcal and hibiscus margaritas, and a 3 chocolate desert.
Everything was top shelf. all for 100 dls. 5 star mexican cuisine. we were in Cabo area 2 weeks. we ate out most nights. El Meson was the best we tried, and was the best value by far.
The guacamole was good. The other food we ordered was ok. The real problem was service. We didn’t receive all of the food we ordered and our food came out piece meal. Some of the food was cold. Server didn’t even apologize. Overall, very disappointing. We have eaten here before and liked it, but this time was so bad we don’t know if we will return. Too many places in Cabo with as good of food and much better service. No excuse for bad service.
This restaurant had a high rating on TA so we decided to try it. Food was ho hum overall. Best items were the tamale of the month, and the enchiladas with mole sauces and margaritas. Tortilla soup was tasteless. One of the worst we've had in cabo. Pozole not great either.
We wouldn't go back.
Waited more than 90min on our food. Also messed up our orders. Service was bad. A shame as last year we had a very good experience.
Great food and wonderful view! They really come through with GF options. Best, fresh corn tortillas we have ever had.
Vacation with family
Enjoyed taco Tuesday!
Fish was terrible. Mushy and need to cut out brown part of filets.
The food is inspired and creative. The staff are very helpful and nice.
Many breakfasts and one dinner during our stay. Staff is wonderful, great service. Farm to Table breakfasts and Sea to Table Dinners.
We were staying at a nearby condo complex and were very welcome at the Hilton. Juan Carlos our waiter was friendly & professional. The food was delicious! Highly recommended!
Outstanding location and outstanding meal
My girlfriend and I had a fantastic experience at El Meson. We celebrated a birthday and were treated very well. The service was great, the food was delicious and the views and ambiance were unparalleled. I would highly recommend this restaurant for a romantic date with great food and great views.
We had breakfast and dinner several times during our recent stay at the Hilton Cabo San Lucas. the service was fantastic, the menu choices were great!!
Good menu choices, but main course (striped bass wrapped in a leaf) was undercooked so had to be sent back and cooked again.
The service was outstanding and the food was flavorful.
Breakfast buffet : freshly made quesadilla, daily stews, and salsas are terrific. Great service from our server Delfino,
Dinner : the kitchen turns out tasty and very inventive Mexican cuisine. Wine list is quite limited but you can order from the Vela wine list (hotel’s Italian restaurant). When they get busy, the service can be slow. I would suggest to the staff to always look at each table as you walk around.
Food was fantastic! We really liked the restaurant for the food and ambience. Service was a bit slow. Enjoyed eating there and will definitely go back!
We stayed at the Hilton for 5 nights in October 2017. We dined at El Meson on 5 separate occasions: 4 breakfasts and 1 dinner. The breakfast buffet was fresh and bountiful, with an incredible array of hot and cold dishes using local ingredients. Daniel and Juan Carlos were our friendly and eager-to-please servers. Our dinner (not a buffet) was just as delicious, with tasty grilled meat and seafood dishes, and a fantastic cocktail and wine list. Our server, Ariel, knew his menu well and provided us with charming and attentive service. We look forward to dining here again on a future trip.
Food choices are excellent and tastes amazing! Love the view too! Amazing staff!
Their signature dish Seafood Molcajete was spectacular in presentation but the seafood was overcooked and mushy and inedible. Would not recommend this dish at all. The tamale trio in the banana leaves were very good, but the tamale on the bottom in the corn husk was filled with stringy fibers, not sure if it was corn strings or what. Tacos al Pastor are excellent but you can get them at the swim up bar. Service was just ok. Table light was so dark it Was impossible to see the food on the plate
The staff at the El Mason always take such great care of us. Loved the tuna and tortilla soup.
Great location and service. We love the Hilton property.
Fajitas were great!
Great place for breakfast. Mix of local and normal breakfast foods.
We ate every meal at this resturant while staying at the Hilton. We didn't intend on eating at this restaurant only, but the food and service was as good as it gets. Every server we experienced was a true proffessional and was exceptional. The food was some of the best we had in Mexico. One of the best appetizers was not even on the menu. Ask for the cheese fondue, you will not regret it. You are making a big mistake if you travel to Los Cabos without dining at El Mason.
Everything was fantastic!!!! Miguel, our waiter, was excellent....kind, funny, helpful--the best! His recommendation (red snapper) was delicious! We truly enjoyed our dinner (plus there was a fireworks show which just added to our perfect evening)
This was my favorite place while on vacation in Cabo! We loved it so much we went twice for brunch, and twice for dinner. Our server, Daniel remembered us from the first time and even little picky things about our food and drink preferences. He was FANTASTIC and a huge reason we visited again. The fajitas and tortilla soup are the best I've ever had. Food and service are perfect! The view is spectacular!
Amazing service and great ambiance.
Very attentive staff. Food was good but tune ordered rare arrived overcooked which created a bit of disappointment. Overall not bad for a large hotel kitchen.
The service and food are fantastic! Gourmet Mexican at its finest! The ocean view is beautiful and they have heaters on the patio.
El Meson located at the Hilton Hotel has continually provided consistent quality food with an assorted menu. Live music is provided several nights per week. Outdoor dining is also available overlooking the infinity pool and the Sea of Cortez.
All good here at the basic Hilton facility, dinner good but not spectacular but breakfast was always, stellar service!
The food and service was spectacular. Our favorite waiter was J Carlos he was very attentive and professional. The view from the restaurant is breath taking and it is a place we would love to go back to for dinner, breakfast or lunch.
Thanksgiving Dinner was spectacular. El Meson did a special beach dinner and it couldn't have been more perfect in regards to ambiance, service and quality of food. It really made our holiday special. I couldn't have asked for a better setting.
Beautiful view of the ocean, excellent friendly service and delicious food! The service at this Hilton location is 5 star all the way!!
Vacation at the Hilton and had dinner here the first night after arrival. Food is fresh and very good. Service is great and the view is truly outstanding. Great place for breakfast too.
Staff very attentive and food selection excellent.
It is the wait staff that make this restaurant. The balcony is semi circular so that the most tables can take advantage of the spectacular views out over the small "moat" in front (no balcony railing is then needed) to the spectacular swimming pool and the sea beyond. While the view is spectacular, we have long learned that restaurants with a view often short change the guest on food, service and hospitality. Not here. This is the exception that proves the rule! The food was a delight; the seafood is fresh, served to your own taste and the meat, I am told, was equally good. I had one of the selection of ceviches and it was so good I repeated it the second time we ate here. The only thing I do not recommend: the farm vegetables - too salty and overcooked to dryness. But what sets the restaurant apart from others is the quality of service provided by the wait staff. They cooperate as a team to clear tables and reset them in record time so that they always seem to have a view front table ready! They greet the customers warmly and with friendly service. Clearly they have all received English lessons and lessons in friendliness because they excel. Smiles are warm, waiters can chat without fear of reprisal and the cooperation of the team was evident. Hearty commendation to Edgar for his dancing skills. When a three piece local trio played Mexican favorites, he could not keep his dancing feet still. He and a couple of the other waiters could be seen surreptitiously taking a few dance steps as they worked!!! Edgar was quite the most personable and humble greeter and explainer. His warm, outgoing nature accompanied him as he worked the tables making sure customers felt at ease and well cared for. Kudos to the Hilton on the training of their staff.
