After driving 2 days from South Texas, after surviving a flooded apartment and worst winter in our lifetime, we wanted a nice relaxing but beautiful and delicious dinner to raise a glass to our dad in heaven for his birthday. I could not have been more impressed with Edgewater. The location is gorgeous at sunset, the atmosphere on the patio was the perfect blend of music and waves; the food was out of this world delicious and the best part was our server. He was so crazy busy, but we still felt like his only table, and he was dealing with the most pretentious picky woman at the table next to us...the server was so kind and professional and so was the bartender with that table and her zillion requests to remake drinks and customize their entrees...(eyeroll)...So, if you are super picky and a pain in the rear, or you are laid back and chill looking for great food, this is the place, they can handle anyone!

What a great restaurant! We go every time we are in San Diego! Food and service was on point and is there anything better than an ocean front table? Cmon!

Food was decent for the price. Found a bone in the fish tacos; wife had the Poke nachos and said they were great; chicken fingers for the kids are typical of what you expect for a kids meal.

Service was a little slow, however no fault of the server as she had at least 5, perhaps 6 tables and it was busy.

The drinks and food were very bland. Dissatisfied with what I paid versus what I got. My pizza was cold I asked if they could warm it and it came back still cold. The view at seaport village was great but wish I didn’t eat there.

Overall good service and food. Wish the ambience was better especially since we went on Valentine’s Day.

We arrived at the restaurant only to discover that they are closed due to COVID-19. We paid for Uber service to get us to and from the property only to end up eating in a hotel bar. Please update Opentable to show all California restaurants as closed until they can prove they are open. I depend on this app to be accurate when I travel.

We spent $30 to Uber there. I was told if it was on open table then it was open. We got there and they were closed. Obviously I was misled. We had just gotten off an amazing whale watching excursion and so it was a big let down to get there and it not be open. I do know that Covid has closed many places, which my frequent stops I’ve noticed are not on open table at the moment because of that. I gave middle of the road ratings, not because of any other reason except that we were misled by open table/Edgewater Grill. So going forward you may want to call and double check.

Restaurant was closed furniture to C19. Irritated that a reservation was accepted and confirmed amen then when we walked to the restaurant rom our hotel with a toddler no one was there.

It was not open

I was very disappointed and do not know who to blame. I made a reservation for Saturday 16, reservation was accepted and confirmed. When we arrived, it was closed. Other restaurants will give notice they are not taking reservations because they are closed. Neither Edgewater nor Open Table had the courtesy to post that on-site was not available like other restaurants have. We drove 35 minutes to get there for nothing. Fortunately, we went to San Marcos and found one open.

They did not update their open table settings, drove an hour and its closed !

IT IS NOT OPEN...not even at all. GoogleMaps and OpenTable both had it marked as opened and then we showed up and it was completely dark. Go next door to Mr. Moto's because it's the only place thats open

I had a reservation and met my date there and they were closed.
I understand and am sympathetic towards restaurants closures with covid, but they say open, in fact you can still make a reservation for outdoors or high top and they are closed.

The place was closed!!! We made the reservations for our anniversary. We showed up 15min early and the while place was dark! We wasted our anniversary on this website and place.

They were not open

I made a reservation for this restaurant two weeks ago and also received a confirmation the day prior. The night of my reservation, I showed up and saw the restaurant was closed. I understand that restrictions are in place however, the fact that I was able to make this reservation was misleading and also disappointing since it was New Years Eve. The restaurant needs to restrict reservations on Open Table if they are not open.

Drive over an hour for our reservation only to find the restaurant was not even open on NYE. This was after we received several confirmations for our reservation. Not sure I’d Open Table or the restaurant is too blame. Either way, very disappointed

The restaurant wasn’t even open after being allowed to make a reservation there. The website said nothing about them being closed either. There shouldn’t be an option to make a reservation if a place is closed.

Open table accepted my reservation but the restaurant was closed due to the pandemic.

The website Let me make a reservation online, when we arrived restaurant was completely closed down. Notice on website said outdoor seating and take out available. Whoever runs the website needs to keep the page up to date with correct information. Extremely disappointing. Won’t be back again.

Atmosphere was beautiful for a date night. We sat outside overlooking the bay. Food and cocktails were delicious and the service was excellent. Highly recommend

Walked in and wasn’t impressed. Even with a reservation they didn’t actually have a table for us and they seated us on the sidewalk not in their actual restaurant patio. If it wasn’t for the amazing service provided by Erick it would’ve been a very bad experience. Food was amazing service was great. Table was horrible.

Horrible service but pretty view. We had a reservation, when we got there we were sat without menus as they were all out. After a few minutes a server asked if we were sat by the hostess as if we had sat ourselves. After about 10 minutes the hostess brought us 1 menu and after about 5 minutes another server let us know he would be with us shortly. After another 15 minutes of no one coming to the table and watching the server tend to 2 more tables without anyone even offering us water we decided to leave.

Food was definitely not worth the price (if you buy a nice meal). But the atmosphere, view, and service were great!

We went for brunch. There were very few people as the resturant had just opened. We were seated on the patio with a beautiful view of the water. The waiter was very attentive and friendly. Food was good and they had large portions. Very good experience!

Great food, especially liked the crab cakes! Location is nice, lots of outdoor seating, and in a busy waterfront location - people will be walking by and scoping your dining options. Overall, very enjoyable. Reservations on weekend help, tough to get same day.

The service & food at Edgewater grill was very good. A little pricey but still good.

Crab cakes! Two huge crab cakes were the highlight of lunch on the waterfront. Comes with a nice side salad of simple arugula and cherry tomato, but made a full meal by adding French fries. The crab cakes were very tasty, fries crispy, nice cold beer, great service, made for a perfect midweek lunch break.

Went for brunch over labor day weekend. We ordered fish and chips, the burger, breakfast burrito and waffles. Food came out cold, we sent the fish and chips back and they re fried the same food and it still came out luke warm and hard. Our waiter was great but they were understaffed and he was waiting on everyone. Great view of the water and people watching but food not great and service slow.

Service was slow. An hour and a half before we got our food from our reservation time.Thats crazy talk. Took 25 mins to order drinks. Normally I would've left after that wait but literally no where else was open in the area. The food was ok when it finally got there but def not worth the wait. Bummer bc the location is amazing.

Dios was under cooked and burnt. Also no flavor. The service in response was nice
