Your choice of local fresh catch or killer grilled shrimp / cabbage / radish / cotija cheese / guacamole / lime crema / corn tortillas / local 'Hot Licks' hot sauce / chips
sea scallops, chanterelle mushroom risotto / citrus beurre blanc / seasonal local vegetables
seared blue crab / roasted corn pico / jalapeno remoulade / bed of greens
Great service nice setting. Maybe the thinnest cut of Steak I have had without it being a flat steak. Lol
All other food was good. Just stay away from the beef. Not a good value
Ordered ribeyes, these were quite frankly the worst quality ribeyes I’ve ever received at a restaurant before. They were extremely thin and fatty, almost like the steak had been cut in half thickness wise. Service was good, however I wouldn’t recommend ordering steaks here.
Great food and service. Beautiful spot overlooking the harbor
Food was very good. Would recommend. Went for our anniversary.
Great location and view. For the price the food was only acceptable. Ordered the seared Ahi and my wife the fresh sea Bass. They were both cooked well and had good flavor, but. I thing spectacular. The sides were mediocre at best.
Wonderful food and great view! Our waiter, Sergio, was very attentive given how busy he was. Highly recommend!
Edgewater is in Seaport Village and overlooks the bay. The food is not the reason you go here it’s the view and ambiance. That said our meals were quite good. The blue crab cake appetizer was really very good and our salads were also. Our entree was not outstanding but still enjoyable. Drinks were first rate . The pricing was in line with the location and wine prices quite reasonable. Service was exceptionally good and we were were never rushed. All told a pleasant and relaxing meal with great scenery.
The dinner was a total disappointment from start to finish. The food was poorly prepared and presented. The calamari appetizer was coated in oil and was basically inedible. There were very few calamari rings and mostly tentacles that were fried in old oil. The ahi tuna, which the server described as one of their best dishes, was simply awful. What was supposed to be seared tuna was overcooked, flavorless and dry. The presentation was worse than cafeteria food with half the plate covered in steamed flavorless broccoli, cauliflower and carrots. This didn’t change with the entree as it appeared on everyone’s plate as a cheap filler. The location is perfect on the waterfront, but skip the food and just order a cocktail. The prices were on par with the best restaurants in the area.
Food and ambiance were great and the service was excellent! I would definitely recommend!
The best breakfast we had the entire trip! You could tell our sever was "in the weeds" and we were waiting for out check/drink refills for a while so maybe staff up your sections a bit more, but overall a great experience. Will definitely be going back next time we're in San Diego.
We had a reservation and showed up a little early. The restaurant was able to accommodate us. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was very good. We enjoyed our visit.
The food was mediocre at best. The place lacks ambiance. The service was slow and inattentive.
Great!! Calamari was delicious and the ribeye really hit the spot!!
Excellent service and a great oceanside location perfect for watching the boats go by.
Food wasn’t what I expected honestly. Service was good and view was lovely that was it. Wouldn’t return.
The location is great and so was the food and service. Really enjoyed it.
We had a great time celebrating our anniversary last night at Edgewater. Food was delicious. The veggie tacos were amazing. Crabcakes super good. Had a seat right on the water, our waiter was super attentive and even brought us a free dessert for anniversary!!
Come to the restaurant for the view and location, not the food which was mediocre at best. Great location though.
I made reservations here for Saturday Brunch, celebrating sister's birthday. The host was nice and greeted the whole family, even wished my sister 'Happy Birthday'. Our waitress, Irie was not as friendly, she spent longer time with other tables, there were 3 separate times that I needed to wave my hand to get her attention. She was never apologetic about the number of times she made us wait. I needed to ask the busboy that we were ready to order our food order and if he can let Irie know that. Edgewater was NOT full/busy for a Saturday, so I don't understand why it took her forever to attend our table or did she not care to serve us? The food was cold and didn't taste fresh, very shocking for the price that we paid!! I think we would have been better off eating at our hotel. No one should eat here, unless you want poor customer service, overpriced and bland food.
We were very disappointed with our experience at the Edgewater Grill. The wait staff did not seat us based on our reservation time and we had to wait over 30 minutes. They did not seem to care that we were upset about this, nor did they make any compensation for it. The food that I ordered was undercooked (vegetables), therefore I could eat my meal. The music was also too loud (classic rock???) .Overall we did not have a good experience and would not go back again.
What beats breakfast with a view of the bay?! I had the fruit and yogurt plate and a dirty chai. Both were perfect. Most of the time the fruit you get at a restaurant is subpar but this was fantastic. Lots of fresh fruit paired with vanilla and honey yogurt. Perfect breakfast after a night of indulgence. My husband had the crab Benedict and a pineapple mimosa. He said they were both excellent. I stole a bite of the crab cake with hollandaise sauce and it was great. I LOVE eggs Benedict but this one would have been to rich for me. Service was excellent, attentive without being overbearing. We will definitely come back.
Great view and location but poor service for the prices
Perfect for people watching and for the view.
food was cold upon arrival, no utensil given ,and cold tacos
This was a disaster! After 1-1/2 hours of waiting for dinner, we were given the wrong food. And then we were told it was our fault by the server. Paid for our drinks and left to find dinner elsewhere.
Great location overlooking water and marina views.
Beautiful ambience! The scallops are perfect! You must try the spicy margarita! Great for those wanting something romantic overlooking the harbor!
Our server, Matt, took great care of us. Friendly, attentive and professional. We hope to get Matt next time!
Great spot on the bay.
sitting outside was a wonderful view and the service was good, but overall the food was average and definitely not worth the price!
Our server Amy was awesome and gave amazing service! Give her a raise and tell her the menu recs were amazing.
Great location and our server, Nat was perfect- just the right amount of attentiveness.
The Manhattan clam chowder was a disappointment- way too much potato and hardly any clams. The caprese salad was adequate. I was surprised to see swordfish on the menu- of all the fish in the sea, it’s in the top 4 for mercury content. My husband’s crab soup was tasty and creamy.
We will probably come back just for the service and ambiance.
The food has been very good every time we have eaten here. Views from the restaurant are amazing. Overall, I definitely recommend visiting Edgewater when in SD.
Amy was an exceptional member of the waitstaff. Very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. Very attentive and provided excellent service.
A beautiful location, good food and reasonable prices. I highly recommend Edgewater Grill! It was magical setting!
The best restaurant in Seaport Village! Beautiful views, best meal in town, and outstanding service. Eat here if it’s available!
Service was average, food average.
Server did not bring serving utensils for shared starters. She did not understand why they were needed. When we requested serving spoons for the Brussels sprouts, she said they do not have serving spoons. We needed to specifically say “fork and spoon”. Scallops and sea bass were nicely prepared, although sauce on the sea bass was too heavy. Accompanying brocoflower and carrots were steamed and tasteless. Rice pilaf was adequate. Brussels sprouts starter with balsamic glaze was delicious!
Outdoor patio with bay view was wonderful. Prices were high, but if you dine here, you’re paying for the view and ambiance.
