Can’t get away without eating the Duck!! Fabulous and always cooked to perfection! The flaming cheese is a great appetizer and the soft pita bread, it tantalized your taste buds for more on the menu! The carrot Ginger soup is very tasty and can be your whole meal as it is very filling!! Highly recommend this wonder restaurant!!
This was a nice treat for us - we did not expect it to be so delicious, from top to bottom. There are some great vegetarian options, which I selected. As well, the sauces were very well prepared. The octopus starter was also excellent.
Definitely will be back on our next visit to Vallarta!
our third time here this season. good food and service. will return next season.
Loved the rack of lamb, the flaming cheese appetizer and the dessert (Galaboutrokus!??????). It is very pleasant to dine in the rear garden area.
Food was outstanding service excellent. Would return in a heartbeat.
Surprisingly good. The lamb shank was nearly perfect!
Rack of lamb was cooked to order but not as tender and mild tasting as it could have been. Choice of lower priced wines is limited. Service was excellent. I would go back to try some of the other dishes.
A great atmosphere, welcoming and polite. The food is excellent, not expensive and the service outstanding. The restaurant is clean and organised. It was quite an enjoyable evening.
Excellent service, the food was outstanding. Especially the chicken soup and the sea bass.
The food here was wonderful and the wait staff were very attentive although they were very busy. I would recommend this restaurant to Greek food lovers as well as those looking to try something new
What a superb evening. The service was impeccable. Delicious food. Best Greek cuisine in Puerto Vallarta.
Great service and excellent food. A good option if you are looking for something different from the mainly Italian and Mexican restaurants in Romantica. Loved the local craft beer options that our server recommended. The IPA was excellent. We would most definitely go again.
The food was very good. I only rate it a little lower because the moussaka was almost all meat with very little egg plant, and the béchamel was a little thin for my liking.
The service was really good with the reservation that the upselling of the wine was a little pushy.
The staff are all very professional and know about every dish Good selection of wines. We have eaten here five times and have outstanding meals each time. It is a place we have taken friends to and all have been impressed so much that they plan on going back. A must go place
Unfortunately a party of 50 arrived at the restaurant shortly after we arrived which no doubt stressed the kitchen and staff. The food quality was not up to expectations. 3 in our party ordered Mousaka and it was not cooked fully and was served slightly warm. We will give the restaurant another try and hope for better.
Cute little place that’s a gem find in Romantic Zone. Food was excellent, service top notch, ambiance spot on and reasonable. We sat in the outside area which I recommend. The Saganaki is wonderful so definitely try that. Overall a great experience and a place we will return to.
Wonderful ambiance and choices of sidewalk, inside, and courtyard/garden seating. Outside can be loud with "Blondies" lively environment across the street. It's nice to see a different food option in PV, and I wasn't sure how authentic Greek the taste would be. The menu was diverse and the flavors were mixed. The mezza platter had a variety of options. The tapenade and meatballs were full of flavor but the dolmas were lacking in flavor and ingredients. The pita was nice and lightly grilled. The service was inconsistent- either very attentive or distracted. The server could've made menu suggestions, although he did make good ones for the wine. Since I live in PV, I will return. I am eager to try the lamb.
However, it was a special occasion - my friend's birthday that I put on the reservation, and it was not acknowledged. Something that I am experiencing when making reservations on this platform - special requests or occassions not acknowledged.
Authentic Greek food in the heart of Puerto Vallarta.
Service was excellent. We order saganaki and tsziki for appetizers. Both were delicious! Our party ordered leg of lamb (lamb shank), chicken kabobs, and pistachio encrusted sea bass. Everything was well prepared and very good.
Excellent carrot soup. Kanb chops were done perfectly
It’s wonderful having such authentic Greek food in PV. The lamb shank is amazing and all the appetizers are great. Outstanding service and a nice wonderful menu guarantees a spectacular evening. The chef even leaks around to make sure people are happy. It’s truly a gem!
We came with the reservations but they forgot about a big party for us so we never got in and they forgot to cancel my reservation
We enjoyed a wonderful meal and a beautiful bottle of Mexican wine. The restaurant was inundated with a large (16) unexpected group of diners which made for a bit of a chaotic service situation but they handled it well. We would definitely go back.
We were very happy with our dinner at Eclecticos. The food was wonderful and the service first class. We will definitely be back!!!
The restaurant was overbooked on our arrival. We had to wait 20 minutes for our table and instead of being seated in the garden, as per our request, we garnered a table outside on the patio overlooking the street. It was a very chilly evening and the waiter kindly provided us with a tablecloth to keep warm. Dinner took an hour to arrive. The sea bass was delicious! Panko and pistachio crusted, it was served hot with veggies. The lamb chops were also done to perfection. We’ll return and hopefully the service and seating will be speedier
Great New Year’s Eve tasting.
We went on Christmas day and had the special menu. The food was good but not fantastic. I would have liked to try their daily Greek menu. We sat in the back garden which was lovely. The service was friendly and very good.
Eclécticos es un buen lugar para recibir una rica comida en Puerto Vallarta.
We had a wonderful and delicious dinner. Service was excellent. Chef Ruben always offers a great selection like you would find at the fine dining restaurants in PV but at a better price. Highly recommended
Excellent place to find authentic Greek food in Mexico. Owner is very customer oriented. Great food, nice location. Great courtyard in the back
Lovely atmosphere. Very pretty. Quality service. We did have to ask for fresh pita, but it was good quality and homemade. The olive oil lacked flavor. The wine selection was good, but the pour by the glass was barely passable, f that. Maybe we ordered the wrong main course. It was the sea bass. The vegetable sides were all excellent, but the fish itself was not prepared the we like our fish when we go to a Greek restaurant. It was like fried fish covered in oil saturated panko. In a Greek restaurant, all you need is a real grill, quality Greek olive oil, lemon, and maybe some oregano, and a quality whole fish that can be served on the bone or deboned. Hopefully, they take this suggestion and we’ll happily visit again.
The ambience and service were excellent. The food was hit or miss. As a fan of Greek food, I found the food to be Americanized Greek food but cooked with Mexican ingredients.
The Saganaki which should be made from graviera, kefalograviera, halloumi, kasseri, kefalotyri, feta, formaela, halloumi, or vlahotiri cheeses, was instead made from a bland cheese that tasted like bland supermarket cheese.
The Avogelmono soup was made with lime instead of lemon which gave it a bitter taste.
The lamb was cooked to order but was not marinated, with Rosemary and mint gel failing to cut through its gaminess.
The (American style) complimentary flourless cake was good and rich. The Mexican Lime Pie was the one perfect item - it was cooked according to the classic Mexican recipe. It was sweet, zesty and light (with no added thickeners) and had a perfect cookie crust.
The restaurant has the key ingredients to be very good. My problem with many of the dishes was not execution but the recipes. The owner and servers were very nice and top notch.
This is the second or third time we have been here. We always bring our friends. Wonderful service, food, and ambiance. Always look forward to returning.
Service was fabulous. The staff and management was very friendly. They have added new dishes for the season which are wonderful. I had the tuna and the others had the salmon. All dishes included vegetables and rice. The tuna was marinated and the sauce was excellent! We finished the meal with an awesome chocolate gooey cake. We added one of their great red wines to which the chocolate melted to perfection! You have to visit this wonderful restaurant!
La comida fue bien rica: muy deliciosa, y el servicio fue extraordinario: agradable y eficaz.
This was our second visit to Eclécticos. Our first visit was not very good and we had decided not to return. However our friends wanted to go and we agreed to go with them. To begin, my cocktail, a Negroni, tasted like something entirely different and was not good. The restaurant had one special appetizer, a shrimp dish with a cream sauce which we ordered. It smelled as though the shrimp were spoiled. I ventured a small taste and it was truly awful. We sent it back and they provided an appetizer of fresh Pita bread and Hummus which was excellent. Our main course was the fish of the day which was supposedly sea bass with vegetables. The fish was fried to the point of being a thin crust, the string beans were over cooked and the potatoes undercooked. We have no idea what sort of fish it was but it was nothing like the many sea bass we have eaten. We ordered dessert, a lime pie, and it was frozen and probably came from Costco.
It was a truly dismal experience and if asked for a recommendation I would say no, nay, never!!
Amazing place. Great food, and great service. Highly recommend to everyone.
Loved the restaurant and everything about it. We try to try a new restaurant every time we come. Definitely worth a return visit. Everyone is so friendly and professional.
Delicious Greek food. My husband and I dined on wonderful rack of lamb, crisp grilled vegetables. Wait staff was very accommodating and attentive. We will definitely return on our next vacation to Puerto Vallarta.
The waiter Jorge excelled in his service. We didn’t appreciate that there were so many dogs around our table.
