Earls Kitchen + Bar - Boston - Prudential Center
While the food was good and had a variety of vegan offerings, the service was exceptionally poor. Our food took a very long time to get out and out wait person didn’t check in. Additionally, we had made a reservation for 5 but they sat us at a table hardly big enough for four.
I have written a complimentary letter to Earls regarding our server. We were at Earls on Saturday,
July 20th. N. ( I cannot recall her first name) Roberts was our server. She was professional, patient, knowledgeable and very eager to please us. We love Earls and just wanted to share the excellent experience we had.
Brunch specials til noon, good service and ambiance.
Great food & drinks, very cool atmosphere. However, hostesses were not friendly or helpful. Disorganized structure, as we were directed to walk around and find the “lady with the iPad” who can sit us. Lady with iPad was not around for 15-20 minutes, nor was she very friendly. Our server herself was great though, would go back.
Worst service ever, it was my anniversary and was really disappointed.
We had a wonderful lunch on the patio. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was upbeat.
Service was extremely slow, waitress kept disappearing. Took a long time for drinks even though it wasn’t very busy. The food was good though.
Food arrived cold and over cooked. Server was friendly and attentive. We arrived when restaurant first opened for brunch - not crowded... so not sure how kitchen messed up the food!
Great atmosphere but a little noisy around the bar areas.. outside patio nice when roof goes back& sides open. Friendly staff but only one drink option for happy hour however food options varied& shareable.
Waiter was attentive and such a pleasure!
Good food. Not attentive service.
Great place... All aspects from quality of food/drink to service perfect !
Our waitress (Rose) was incredible. She was beyond nice, and would constantly check in. It was my boyfriends 21st birthday and she made she we were having a fabulous time. The overall vibe of Earls is untouchable. 5/5.
A bit of a tough one for us - not sure what to make if this place
Menu is limited unless you are into sushi and bowls
Great place for appetizers and drinks but fir a family dinner we had a hard time
No veggies other than one choice
Fish option was limited as well
Location is great
We ate in the main dining room but it seems the hip place to be was the outdoor area
Food was great. But service was bad. Waited a long time for all 3: menu, food and check.
We were seated on the outside patio. Very comfortable spot. Joanna was our server and did a great job taking care of us. The food was delicious and portion size good. Will definitely return.
I very much enjoy going to Earls Kitchen at the Pru for the food. However, the check in desk is exceptionally poorly run. They leave it unmanned for long moments and people stack up in front of it having no idea what to do. The service on the patio was very slow and , also, unorganized. People who were just seated were getting service before people who had been seated for 10 or more minutes.
It was not busy, thus there is no excuse. I have been three times and each time the service is severely lacking.
I most likely will just cross it off my list
This place is one you go for the ambiance and atmosphere which is unique. The food is mediocre at best, I had the avocado toast and I have had way better for much less. We were 10 minutes early for our reservation and the hostess requested we step to the side and wait, she then forgot about us (despite us being in her view) and sat as 10 minutes after our reservation. We had to go back up to the front and follow up with her. People without a reservation came in and were sat before us. Our waitress was fine but no super attentive and the food was nothing to write home about especially for the price point. I would not recommend. I was very disappointed.
Have been here many times since they opened. This time was not so good. I think they may have had the “B” team working, perhaps because it was a long holiday weekend. While there was only one other table occupied in the area we were seated, we were put right behind them with what may be a combined booth. The man directly behind me kept rocking back and forth which had me constantly moving. Even the table and water in the glass on my table was moving. I showed server and she moved us. While waiting for the food two different employees came with food that wasn’t ours. I noticed another food item was taken to the wrong table as well as several drink deliveries. When my food came it was incorrect. The server offered to bring me the item that was missing but I declined since my guest had already eaten half her meal and I didn’t want to wait. I did not eat the item that I had not ordered since I didn’t want it to begin with. The bill arrived, no adjustment made for the fact that I didn’t get what I ordered. I paid and left a nice tip anyway since I did not feel it was the server’s fault. I do intend to go back to the restaurant as I love their ribs. I will just avoid holiday weekends.
It has a great aura, one of my favorite places for drinks or brunch with my boyfriend. Main complaint is that their service is extremely slow, you might be waiting for a table, and if you look in there are MULTIPLE tables open. I think they might be light staffed. If you don’t mind a lengthy meal, which is not always the worst if you’re with friends, this places has great food, great atmosphere and awesome drinks!!!
Would definitely appreciate better service for the cost of the experience.
Had a great dinner and drinks for a party of 7. Everyone loved their meals and we enjoyed the $5 Collins drink special. A little loud but fun, energetic vibe. Will definitely return!
Energetic atmosphere, great bar tenders and service. Perfect place to hang and watch a game
Drove in from NH and it was well worth the drive. The food was amazing. We had nachos to start, and the chorizo sausage was a great twist to it. Our waitress Vera was great as well!
I loved Earls. I sat outside on the patio for brunch with some friends. The weather wasn’t great but it didn’t matter because the patio could be covered. The food and the atmosphere was wonderful! I loved the service and I will definitely be coming back again.
I have been to Earls Kitchen and Bar (both Prudential and Assembly locations) many times over the last few years, since they have opened locations in the Boston area, and have had very positive experiences- I love the food, atmosphere, and price point. Because of these reasons, I chose to have my birthday dinner at the Earls Prudential location. However, I was very disappointed with my experience this past weekend. Despite making a reservation 1 week ahead of the date, my party and I waited 25 minutes to be seated at our table. Upon finally being seated, it was clear the table had been thrown together for us at the last minute. The table was outside on the patio (despite my request to sit indoors as threat for thunder storms was high for the evening) and chairs had to be squished around the table unevenly. Once settled, we went to put in our drink order. One of the main reasons I chose Earls for this occasion was because of their $5 margarita drink of the month, advertised on social media. Our waitress informed us that the $5 margarita was not an option, as they no longer had the particular brand of tequila in stock. She let us know that if we did order margaritas, they would be more than $5, and she did not offer an alternative drink option. The advertisements for the drink of the month do not indicate that the deal is only available while supplies last. We then went on to find out that various entree options were also out of stock. All of the steak entrees and chicken tacos (items we were interested in) were not available for us to order. Because I have been a long-time customer at Earls, I know these issues are not the typical Earls experience. However, it does not excuse the errors. We were not offered any consolation or apology for our negative experience. I would love to continue recommending Earls to family and friends, and continue visiting as well, but after this recent experience, I am not confident that I will be able to.
Love this place! Great food and drinks, would definitely recommend it to anyone! Be sure to take a look at their Instagram - they have $5 drinks of the month which are always awesome (this month is $5 margs). Make sure to book in advance
Earls is the perfect go to restaurant for me and my friends. However, this night service was a little rough. They do always come through with customer service. The food is great and awesome atmosphere.
I love Earls! Always a great place to go with an awesome environment, great food&drinks and great service!!
Emerson did a wonderful job as our server. She was very friendly and professional. The patio was fantastic.
Server was very attentive and checked on us frequently to see if everything was ok. Food was portioned just right for lunch: salad was dressed very evenly, truffle fries were wonderful and Clam chowder was original and seasoned well!
Incredibly long wait even with reservation.
We reserved a table and still waited for ～20 minutes to be seated
Sad, they “ran out” of tacos. Guess what?...There is a supermarket right down the street. I know it does not work that way, but...it could, if they really wanted to keep diners.
Our orders were not not as we specified, we did not want to waist the food. While it was not the waiters fault he very clearly felt awkward around us and avoided our table for the remainder of the evening. It was weirdly uncomfortable and definitely negatively affected our experience.
Love the place, have been a million times. Drinks are pricey for the size but they're really good, but when we went the last time they were running out of all of the food so that wasnt ideal
Service was wonderful! The food and drinks were also delicious. I would come back again!
Earls is a great place to eat. The food is fantastic! The service is terrific. The only drawback is the noise level.
Had a very nice experience at Earl's this time around, with a fantastic server that really knew the menu. Had the kung pao chicken, delicious!
