We’ve eating here a lot. Something was just not right. The food was good, just as exceptional as we normally get. Maybe a new chef?
Fantastic experience - consistently great cuisine, courteous staff and top notch service!
Duck Duck Goose is the best restaurant in a struggling Bethesda dining scene. I hope it's here to stay.
We've never been, so when we heard that the county was allowing dining indoors, we quickly found DDG and booked it for a Valentine's Day brunch. Incredible experience. Food was just so good (Pate, cheese, French Onion Soup, the Nutella French Toast, the Burger)...wow.
Service was incredible. Thanks to Alec and the team for making our first visit super special. We will 100% be back and can't wait to spread the word.
Food was excellent as always. Creative menu. Comfortable with oil lamps
The food is always excellent.
Wine list is not up to the same standard.
Service was excellent
Entrees were great, appetizers were under flavored.
They are doing the best they can with outdoor seating. It happened to be a cold day, so I would recommend they upgrade the ineffective outdoor heaters.
4 star rating for outdoor seating dining at brunch. It was winter and cold, but they have outdoor heaters, nice service and great food. We'll definitely return again - even after the pandemic.
Loved watching the chefs cook with total transparency and quality,
More heat lamps. Food was amazing and outdoor seating option was appreciated.
We are long-time DDG fans—it is the best food in Bethesda. Coupled with a very good bar, super service, nice outdoor seating—it is tops!!!
Always a wonderfully consistent experience.
Amazing food, excellent service. The beef tartare is well worth the visit.
We were hoping for a tasty meal but what we had exceeded our wildest expectations. Best duck dishes we have ever had and we have had many. Wonderful service.
Great job and very pleasant.
It was a perfect place to take my friend for her 70th Birthday. She was nervous about eating outside, but we were completely distanced from others, and were given a gas heater each to keep us warm. The food was excellent as always and we had a delightful time, despite all worries about the pandemic. Thank you!!
The halibut broccolini, and loosey goosey drink were all delicious
Place is amazing, the kitchen takes their time and everything made is taken care with love before it hits the plate. Chef Al is amazing and so is his staff!
The service here was wonderful and we had the pleasure of being served by Elliott. I had the chicken and waffles which were good, but not great. The mimosas, however, were delicious and a great price as well. The location of the restaurant was great and offered plenty of parking options.
We particularly appreciated the service. Our waiter was patient, good humored and most accommodating. He also turned off the music when we asked as we were having trouble hearing each other.
My only minor complaint is in the serving of the hot tea. You should have the hot water sent out in a covered container.
And, we ;liked the food. My broccolini was delicious as were the shrimp and grits. We really enjoyed being able to suck the shrimp heads. Nummy!
Overall a great experience and we had a wonderful time. The only thing missing was the Paris Brest that they had pre Covid
We loved DDG, until this visit. Our seats were next to the kitchen and I could see everything going on there. I saw one chef without his face mask on and even used his finger to taste/check the dishes before serving. I understand this usually happens in many restaurants behind the door, but when we saw this, and especially under this COVID, we basically lost our appetite... DDG was our favorite but I think they need to improve their safety standard.
This dining experience was top notch from start to finish or as "they" say from soup to nuts!
We will be back and will recommend to many.
My friend and I had a wonderful reunion luncheon at DDG. Due to COVID restrictions, and a diminished workforce in the Bethesda area, we were blessed to have the entire restaurant to ourselves.
Our server was so gracious, respectful, and knowledgeable about the menu items.
The food seasoning and preparation was a delight. Thank you to all who worked on Tuesday to make our meal a beautiful memory
The food and service was great. I like when a restaurant takes time to make presentation really attractive. The menu has sandwiches and entrees from $12-$30. Go and enjoy!!
food fantastic, ambience outside with heters and live jazz playing serene
Will be going back this weekend- weather permitting
The food is always amazing and the service is always wonderful. Even nicer when they brought out a sparkler, champagne and a card for my birthday. Seriously, the nicest staff ever.
The food is FANTASTIC. I started with a superb cauliflower soup, and then was delighted with the honey roasted duck. My date did the radish salad for a starter and the lamb shank. The presentation of each course is equally matched by the superb taste. Excellent crafted martinis and great wine list at great prices.
Dined outside and was comfortable with the covid protocol of the staff. The food, however, was unremarkable. I had duck confit, which came out at room temperature and was shriveled up, as if it had been made days in advance and only lightly heated. The accompanying pommes dauphinois were slightly warmer, but unmemorable. I understand that the menu needs to be shorter and the kitchen staff are under a great deal of pressure. However, the namesake duck dish was underwhelming and it does disservice to the wait staff who are working so hard to make the dining experience as pleasant and safe as possible.
The food was exquisite, as always, and all members of the team were courteous, knowledgeable, and stayed COVID-safe. Our server, Elliott, was really funny. Had the seasonal cocktail (the Smokey Duck), which was so good I had seconds!
Amazing spot! Everything is delicious and presented beautifully! I've been back 2 weekends in a row and was impressed at the team's attention. Thanks so much walteara and team! Keep up the great work!
Fabulous cocktails! We had the restaurant week menu and every dish was delicious! The service was superb. We loved the cozy ambiance. We'll definitely return.
The food was delicious and the service was fantastic. The decor is also very cute.
My aunt's birthday, the food was okay not greatly seasoned. The restaurant didn't have any type of hot sauce which would have helped. Seems like our waiter forgot about us a few times. Overall just okay for brunch, may be better for happy hour.
We were nicely greeted and seated on time. Service was quite slow. About 15 minutes before we received bread and butter. We ordered duck pate which was decent needing salt and pepper. The onion soup that followed was very ordinary. We both ordered duck confit which seamed over fried. The potatoes were very good. The bill was 84 dollars including tax. We added 20 dollars for tip. Total $104. For very average fare.
Date night spot!!!!
So amazing! The drinks are wonderful and the outside seating is well spaced and allowed for intimate conversation with a friend or a date.
We were there celebrating our anniversary and felt very well taken care of.
DDG, as always, was fantastic. The food was inventive, yet classic, and perfectly cooked. The social distancing measures and protocols were handled graciously. Cocktail expertly mixed, and wine a perfect match. We will return - soon!
Brunch here is absolutely divine!!!! The eggs and salmon are a MUST!
