I saw this reviewed on Check Please and all 3 guests raved about the place. First of all there are huge TV screens all over the walls in the front dining room. The decor is interesting and the TV screens totally ruin the atmosphere. I would never have gone there if I had known about the TV screens. Our waiter spoke English with heavy accent and whenever we asked him a question he had an older gentleman speak with us. The order in which the food was served was bizarre. We ordered squab, barbecued pork slices and Chinese broccoli. They brought a rather large platter of broccoli and nothing else. After 10 minutes the older man asked if we wanted rice which we did. The other 2 dishes were brought to the later and the only plate we had was a small bread plate. The air conditioning was going full blast so the food got cold immediately. The cook pot tables are separate from the regular menu tables but adjacent to each other. The prices for the cook pot items begins at $70. which wasn't mentioned on Check Please. I think she said average meal was $30. Our bill for two was much higher partly because my companion had a flight of Sake. My nephew was visiting from Charlotte for one week and I chose this because of the raving reviews on Check Please. What a huge disappointment. There are so many other Asian Restaurants which would have provided better food, service and atmosphere. I will think twice before trying another Restaurant that they recommend!

This was a great pick! I saw this restaurant featured on "Check, Please, Bay Area!" and decided to try it out with my friends. We all went home full and very happy. Everything we tried was delicious. Even the oh so ordinary pot stickers were elevated to perfection. The hot pot was amazing and a good value. Finally, the dessert was cherry on top! If you like durian fruit or want to try it, they have this amazing durian puffs that are gooey heaven in flaky pastry. If that wasn't enough, they gave us ice cream with these pearl/caviar like concoctions that were just a great surprise. We are definitely going back!

I went to Dragon Beaux for gals gathering. The service is exceptional and food is very fresh. Definitely go back again!

We had the hot pot which is a traditional dish. the food was good but next time we will try to pick separate items for the menu. the hot pot had too much food for the four of us. John

Didn't expect a hot pot / dim sum place to look so, how I would say… not the usually look of how a hot pot / dim sum place would like. Easy to read and easy to order & the service was great. Would love to go here again!

Dragon Beaux has a reputation for some of the best dim sum around. Indeed, the first time we tried the dim sum, the place was packed with lines out the door, and the dim sum was delicious. So we decided to try it for dinner--big mistake. The place was empty, and the food was mediocre--the worst of old-time Cantonese-American dining. So go for dim sum, not for dinner.

Dragon Beaux is on the high end for hot pot, so I had higher expectations. Unfortunately, the menu was about 1/3 of what I would normally get from other places. Although the soup base is better than most and their meats are slices very thin, there's not enough variety of food to really feast your eyes on. For $32, I expected a lot more. Even their condiments were limited to 4 things. Other places have at least 10 items to mix and match to our liking. We also ordered some braised tofu and when it didn't come, we asked the waiter for it and the waiter said that they don't have it, then we later asked another waiter why we weren't told if they don't have it, and the other waiter's response was we have it and it'll be coming out shortly. In the end we never saw it. They also did not offer dessert for us. My sister came here once and knew about the dessert so we had to ask for it, otherwise, we would have missed out on it. The dessert was nothing fancy but it was nice to have ice cream after eating hot pot. Lastly, the receptionist was not very happy when she noticed that I booked our reservation through Open Table. I don't think I'll be back any time soon.

The servers are inconsistent... I might excuse this for a restaurant that wasn't charging $50-70 a person (add +20 if you are drinking) but this was not the case. Full platters of dishes came crashing the to the floor, a lazy head waiter wanted to throw us boxes for us to self-box the food vs doing it for us (we had to ask twice that he do this for us). Again...at my local Chinese neighborhood restaurant where we pay $12 for a HK fried noodles this might be totally OK. But not when the restaurant wants to be esteemed as a high end establishment. For what you pay for...you get a slight more embellishment on the traditional take. Their version of the walnut prawns comes with slivered almonds instead of walnuts. The noodles were greasy, limp and subpar. We've been here for dimsum and were not wowed but thought we'd give dinner a try. Sadly we left feeling a bit ripped off.
