Our new Private Dining room provides intimacy via black tinted sliding doors with the ability to seat 14 guests. The interior is shaped by 3 exclusive murals of Neo Japan Art created by the world-renowned artist Dan Kitchener out of London, UK. We will require a credit card to hold the space, and reservations will require a non-refundable $250 booking fee.

We offer private music selection of your choice via Bluetooth speakers along with 3 exclusive murals of Neo Japan Art created by the world renowned artist Dan Kitchener out of London, UK. Reservations will require a non-refundable $250 deposit. The deposit must be paid in advance in order to secure the reservation.

Thank you all for truly making our first Dokyo experience AND our anniversary special! From the moment we walked in we were greeted with Happy Anniversary by most staff, we’re promptly seated at a wonderful table (you can’t go wrong though), and had the best server team Chris and Shane (a trainee who was exceptional and gracious). We loved our specialty cocktails, the sake Chris recommended us, and the food of course from appetizers (dumplings and spring rolls with a house made sweet and sour that was to die for) to our main rolls which we shared (tai chi & dancing eel). And our special surprise courtesy of the staff fried cheesecake for our special occasion. Thank you all for making a tough week very special for us!

The food was excellent. It came out very fast. Everything was great. The ambience was very comforting. The male and female bartender/waitress were amazing. I was on the right side of the room yesterday and they were so helping with the menu and everything. It was awesome experience.

Had a reservation and sat at the bar. Chairs were very dirty and stained. The appetizer took way too long to come out. So we got comped saki. I got my food first and finished my food by the time my partners food came out.

I use Open Table Frequently. I enjoy the ease of making reservations as well as relying on the information Open Table First, I received a notice that my credit card would be billed 100.00 if I didn’t honor my reservation. I thought that was ok based on previous reviews. There were 5 of us dining. I ordered a drink from the menu from Open Table and my first unease was that the waiter and manager had never heard of the drink. I checked my credit card and there was a notice that Doyko had charged it. I was now concerned. I asked about ordering Bento bowls and was told they had not been available for a long time. We ended up ordering Gyoza and California rolls as an appetizer. They both came without any dipping sauces. We asked for 3 spicy mayos, but they didn’t have 3 available so they gave us 2 with apologies. At most other places, both sushi and gyoza are served with Dipping sauces. I realize our reservations were for 5 pm when they opened, but service is service. We ordered our main dishes and they were mediocre. I will not return. I am also now reluctant to rely on Open Table alone for recommendations and wondering if I need to rely on other apps to ensure I do not embarrass myself when hosting others for dinner. This is my first bad service from Open Table I must admit and will give them at least one more try before finding a different reservation service.

We’ve been to Dokyo 15+ times already and my wife knows the owner personally. We were there when he was a hole in the wall. Great restaurant 9.9/10 times. This time though, we had a rather poor experience. To start, we got straight tequila in the Monsoon with no hint of any other ingredient, (to which the bartender said “oh it is just a strong drink that’s how it is, which is false given that we get that exact drink everytime we go.) and the spicy chicken was cold when I got it. Now to his credit, our waiter whose name I can’t remember, got the drink swapped out at no charge for another option and got the food brought back to a scorching temperature, which I should have let cool off but it was too delicious to hold back. He earned a gracious tip as a result. But the principle of what happened showed a distinct drop in quality between our previous visits and this latest one. The utensils and eatery felt low quality and the non-wait staff seemed the same. Overall it has diminished our perception of this previous gem of a restaurant.

Service and food were both wonderful! Our server was very helpful when it came to making drink selections. He also went out of his way to ensure my birthday was special! Will definitely be back again!

Really disappointing. Went there for the first time last night. They messed up three times on our order. It wasn't even a complicated order, no special requests just basic items off of the sushi menu: 3 rolls, 3 plates of nigiri and 1 order of sashimi. What arrived was 3 rolls, 2 of which had the wrong/missing ingredients and 4 plates of nigiri. When the sashimi finally arrived it was still partially frozen. I felt sorry for the waiter since it wasn't his fault. The chefs there need to get it together.

Food and drinks were amazing. Some food items came out before soup, which was annoying. Always too cold inside. Bring a sweater if you’re cold natured.
