DOC Wine Bar
The food and pasta were amazing. The service started out great but after a large party arrived we were nearly forgotten. When it came time to pay we were told that their credit card machine was not working. We had to scrounge for the cash to pay. This was not the first time in Cabo that we have experienced this. Why not warn you before ordering? Why has this happened before at other Cabo restaurants? Coincidence-I think not.
Good food. Took a little longer than expected but the chef sent over a free delicious salad for us to enjoy while our meal was being prepared.
This is a gem we keep coming back to. Piertro does a wonderful job and we love that it is open for lunch in addition to dinner. The Pasta Ragu and house salad were fresh and tasty. My Husband cannot go without having the Pulpo and potato salad
We try to come here every year while in Cabo for authentic Italian cuisine. The food never disappoints. The wine is outstanding.
Food and service were awesome! It was a gem and we will definitely go back.
Fabulous food, especially the salt encrusted whole fish. Pasta is homemade and delicious. Starters are great, especially the portobello carpaccio and buratta. Yummy cocktails.
Second time we were there, it was very crowded and very, very noisy. However, the food is really terrific, so we dealt with the noise.
Amazing charcuterie plate and solid wine selection. Roasted tomato salad special was to die for!! What is on the menu they provide is not the whole selection so ask about specials OR if they can prepare a combo. Very good food. Unassuming spot and highly recommended ~ Thanks for a nice evening.
We decided to give Doc's a 2nd try after a disappointing first experience when they us outside. A horrible dining experience as you are right on the street and a bus passes by literally every 5-6 minutes. Food was good so we returned with inside dining. Again the food was very good but this time the service was horrible. We ate our appetizers before our first round of drinks was delivered. Restaurant was full but it only has 10 tables so it should be manageable considering half of the 4 tops only had 2 diners.
Great place, fresh homemade pastas. Never disappoints . Cant make a bad choice. Great wine list
The food was good except for one entre which we returned and they were very nice about it. We would go back again.
The food and service was excelent specially loved the octopus grill.
Loved it, Carlos our waiter was very attentive and Jorge the chef came out to greet us, the expert was superb and were coming back again!
We ordered the Ozzo Bucco and their spare rib ravioli with a bottle of monte xanic Ricardo red wine. It was outstanding
Fabulous Italian food with fresh made pastas, delicious seafood. Pietro has done an amazing job of revitalizing this restaurant and even expanding the space for roomier table space. A gem that never disappoints.
Inexpensive authentic Italian in cabo
My husband and I had the octopus appetizer and the short rib ravioli and seafood risotto and finished with the poached pear with whiskey chocolate gelato and warm chocolate cake was fantastic. Great service and an excellent bottle of wine. Carlos and Jorje our server
And chef were great. I highly recommend for an amazing meal.
The food was the best Italian I hAd anywhere! Fresh pasta, real chef creations. HAd seafood resota , short rib ravioli. Side of spicy spaghetti. Wow! Cheese plate appetizer!!! A must try in Cabo! Next door to Mecasa.
What a fantastic experience! Our group was a challenge with gluten and dairy restrictions, however Doc’s delivered a great meal for everyone. Home made pasta was exquisite! I had the signature Doc’s pasta delivering the taste of Italy with the heat of Mexico. A real must have! For the avid Italian wine drinker, not a better selection in all of Los Cabos!
Thank you Pietro and Team.
Authentic Italian food with excellent service and notable Italian wine selection. However, the linguine vongole though it was ok it was not as good as it used to be. The raviolis and the carbonara were excellent...the only thing really off, was the Tiramisu...it tested terrible....you could not feel or taste of the mascarpone cheese nor the coffee anywhere....
Los sabores son espectaculares. Probamos ravioles, Aruba eye, spagethi. Ampliamente recomendado!
Docs has Great homemade pastas and sauces.Their attention to details is wonderful. Service was amazing. I would highly recommend Docs to anyone in the Cabo San Lucas area. If you are looking for high end taste on a moderate budget Docs is the place to go!!
We love this place. We come here every day while in town.
Excelentee!! Muy ricoo es la segunda vez que cenamos y el servicio y su comida es muy rica !
Doc is always awesome! One of our favorite restaurants anywhere!
We've been coming here for years, and it never disappoints. Well, may be a little disappointed that they no longer serve lasagna. Wine selection is great as are the Italian meats and pasta!
I have came almost every time I come to Cabo great place
the service was great, friendly folks, super helpful, food was soooo great too! Nice quaint place to eat
Absolutely amazing! 6 of us ordered different dishes and only one of us wasn't completely satisfied. Great service.
great choice for our last meal in Cabo. Loved the octopus and potato salad, beef carpaccio, linguini w clam sauce, and special ravioli were delish. A FAV with all locals. First time we were here, Christopher Walken was at the next table with an entourage.
Recomiendo especialmente los mejillones con salsa Gorgonzola. Evite la pasta con salsa de pesto porque es muy salada.
DOC is back with Pietro running things again.
Improved quality...wonderful authentic Italian food...roomier seating.
Best Italian wine selection in all of southern Baja, and some great selections from Valle Guadslupe. Bonus: the waiters know their wines. Entire waitstaff is impeccably trained.
Freshmade pastas make every dish delish. Risotto w ragu sauce was our fav...
Great meal. Great portions. Great flavor. Great place.
Great Authentic Italian food. Better than the old DOC! Updates include more spacious seating which improved the ambience. the pastas are delicious and offer plenty of variety. Mussels are nicely prepared and perfectly cooked. Salads are creative and large enough to share - and the waiter will tell you this! Wait staff is impeccably trained and very knowledgeable featuring a large selection of Italian as well as Baja wines. Put this place on your short list of restaurants to try soon.
Small portions on gnocchi. Greasy pasta for a few. Brie appetizer was great and mussels were good.
DOC remake is a huge success. Menu improved; wine list still impressive and waiters well versed in wines. Delicious foods. Menu upgrade, tables roomier, acoustic improved....HOME RUN.
Back to being our Go To restaurant!
The menu was varied consisting of authentic Italian cuisine. The wine list was plentiful with excellent choices.
The owner, a gentleman from Verona was warm and friendly.
I highly recommend this restaurant!
Food & wine was incredible. Pasta is homemade, Italian meats are sliced fresh in house, prosciutto & artichoke bruschetta a must have appetizer and the Italian olives compliment perfectly w/ a bottle of wine. Scrumptious!
Un lugar muy acogedor, muy tranquilo y una deliciosa comida, un trato excelente por parte del servicio. 100% recomendado.
The food was incredible, especially for the price. We had a cheese and meat platter, salads, osso bucco, penne a la gorgonzola, tiramisu, wine, coffee, and complimentary macarons. The bill was $101 with the exchange rate. I would have expected twice that. The restaurant is very small and we fortunately had a reservation otherwise we wouldn’t have been seated. It was loud and crowded, with fairly small tables, and the open kitchen made it that much louder. There was also a guitar player for Valentine’s Day. I had requested an outdoor table when I made the reservation, but we were seated inside. By the time we left, I had sweat into my chair so much I was worried to stand up - it’s just hot inside. The owner (or manager?) was very attentive and our server was excellent, especially considering he had three tables of two and a birthday party of about 16 people. I was worried we would get slow service because of the large party, but not at all. I wish we had found this place earlier in our trip because it would have been a repeat dinner!
Word to the wise - three separate cab drivers had never heard of this place and fortunately we had scoped it out earlier in the day so I was able to give the driver directions after we had stopped twice to ask other cabbies if they knew the place. It doesn’t show up on maps on iPhone, so look it up on google and show your driver to avoid any unnecessary detouring.
