   We visited Delatera recently and had mixed feelings about the experience. On the bright side, the meatballs and salad were both delicious—definitely the highlights of our meal. However, the bolognese wasn’t quite to our taste; it came out overly salty and wasn’t as enjoyable as the other dishes. When we first arrived, we were seated at a table but had trouble getting anyone’s attention, so we decided to move to the bar. Things were a bit better there, but it looked like only one bartender was managing most of the service and seemed pretty overwhelmed. He was kind and doing his best, but the overall service was slow, and there was definitely some tension in the air. We were asked how we’d like our food to come out, but unfortunately, it didn’t arrive in the order we requested and was a bit delayed. One of the bartenders seemed more focused on turning tables than checking in—he asked if we wanted to-go boxes before our main course even arrived and didn’t offer drink refills, dessert, or coffee. We didn’t complain or ask for a credit, but the vibe made it feel like it was time to head out, so we did. While the food had some bright spots and the ambiance has potential, the service experience fell a bit short this time. Hopefully, with a little more staff support and attention to pacing, Delatera can deliver the kind of welcoming experience that matches its tasty menu items. — 3 stars —

   Della Terra was chosen as an option to participate in Best Bites in Pittsburgh via Pittsburgh Pizza Passport. If it were not for this Pizza Passport, our party of two would not have known about Della Terra. Della Terra is truly deserving of its reputation of excellence in the highest of standards, exceptional food and service. The owner Michelle has impeccable taste as reflected in each of the many details in the restaurant: green draperies, green booths, classic chandeliers, second floor seating overlooking First Floor, tasteful art work, bar layout with a pizza oven and stainless steel kitchen. Its Beans and Greens appetizer, Caesar Salad, Stuffed Ravioli with Chicken Entree, Shrimp Entree, Pizza Bianca land Four Cheese Pizza were exceptionally prepared and presented. Every dish is of the highest quality, fresh, delicious and well seasoned. Our waitress Brie was professional, exceptional, accommodating, thoughtful, courteous, helpful, attentive, respectful, gracious, informative, kind, caring and very funny. Our sincere thanks and gratitude to Brie, to the owner Michelle, to the chef who prepared the fabulous dishes, the bartender who made phenomenal Straw Man Drinks ( Old Fashion Bourbon) and to the staff at Della Terrace. We are looking forward to returning as repeating customers.

   This is one of the very few places I can say that when you go, you are getting a quality dining experience EVERY SINGLE time. The food is incredible, the staff is attentive and always nice. Restaurants need to follow this standard of quality food and service and people would be willing to go out more to enjoy some dining and spirits. Exceptional every time we walk through the door!

   Absolutely a wonderful experience! The fried artichokes and the blood orange salad were amazing! Our service was wonderful and the food was outstanding, as well as the drinks! We highly recommend this place for anyone! Thank you for always accommodating us and creating a great experience! Highly recommend!

   Love this place! Inside and ambience is amazing. Wish we felt like we weren’t being rushed. We weren’t taking long to eat or overextending our reservation. We are aware it is highly sought after place and reservations are usually unavailable. Our plates were literally being taken away before we could even express we were still finishing our appetizers and dinners.

   Disappointing dining experience. Not crowded at all, but took 30 minutes to get our appetizer and 45 minutes to get our dinners. Their food was good, but for the price of the meals, the overall service was poor at best.

   Server was less than helpful. Pastas tasted good. The dessert was not very good and was burnt (the apple dessert). Not worth the price if you’re not going to get exceptional service and food all around.
