No cumplió nuestras expectativas!
If it wasn’t for the loud, very drunk and obnoxious bachelorette party sitting in our area, the experience would’ve been superb. Food itself was great.
Steak was the best I’ve had in the TJ/Ensenada area, the location and service were perfect. I think the short ribs and the yellow tail ceviche were the best items. Memorable experience.
One of the most incredible dining experience I’ve ever had. Just Wow!
Nothing very good to say. Duck was tough, without flavor, and surrounded by veggies without flavor. Dessert was laughable. All self important style without substance. A few space heaters to keep us warm and done lighting to walk us to the car park without killing our selves would be nice unless that messes with your style. Every car I saw didn’t turn into the car park for lack of lighting. Over priced even though it wouldn’t have been if food was good. Can’t recommend.
Best restaurant in the Valle in my opinion. Every course was meticulously prepared, beautifully presented and so delicious! The atmosphere is wonderful and the service is perfect. So happy we dined here, can’t wait to come back. We dined here a few years ago and must say this dinner seemed even better. Bravo chef Deckman!
Gran experiencia , todo fue Perfecto , 100% recomendable vivirlo
MUY CARO , MUY SUCIO, PISO DE TIERRA, ME ENFERME DE DIARREA.
We can do without ground crickets. They add nothing to the taste or presentation and are just gross. Deconstructed lemon pie was really good. Nicely tart. Mezcal was undrinkable. Wood fire cooked fish was outstanding. The cucumber ice cream served with the pie, was not. My friend's short ribs were delicious but 1/3 of the portion was a hunk of fat. Overall interesting food, but not very memorable. Would come back for the ambiance with low expectations for the food.
Amazing food but very expensive. They have US prices but they are in MEXICO so overpriced them. On the other hand the food is excellent.
Not sure why the would allow a kid riding his bike around the property. It's a gorgeous place, let's not turn it into a playground
Fantastic food and atmosphere
Like always great experience
Outstanding food and service. A very well run restaurant with a highly professional staff.
Very good food in a singular place. High quality ingredients, relatively basic but perfectly executed techniques and a lot of creativity. Fantastic ecperience!
I've been coming here for the last three years and I dont know what went wrong this time. Where do I start... well since it was my first time with a large group, they had a fixed menu for my group of 14 people. Sure what could go wrong. They served us this pork meat loaf that was extremely salty! Then some bird that look like it wasnt cooked all the way. My friends said that it was probably pigeon with pollo loco sauce. I mean they were still hungry after the course and they wanted to eat tacos afterwards. They would of been happy with a plate of rice and beans. Oh the power went out during dinner. Luckily the emergency lights came on so we could see what we were eating. Then everyone got a TV dinner brownie that wasnt so good. Anyways for that amount that they ask for their tasting menu, you expect something really good from this place. I was really embarrassed that I brought my friends and family here for my birthday. I told them that this was one of the best restaurants in valle de Guadalupe. It saddens me because my family and I always have magnificent experiences here. Not really feeling the urge to come back here ever.
Tipazos y comida wow.
We were worried we'd heard too much hype and would have overly high expectations so set expectations low. Still, we weren't overly impressed. Perhaps of note, we're not the kind to go after sweetbreads, sardines, squab or duck so we felt a bit limited. We did have the thai curry mussels that were plentiful and tasted really good. The short rib was as delicious as it should have been and the red wine they recommended with it was solid. (We wouldn't have minded a bit more of the cauliflower puree on that dish). The vegetarian ceviche was super bland/forgettable despite the huitlacoche being a hopeful ingredient. It's a lovely setting and low key and fun to watch all the cooking going on in the center of it all but Fauna still wins out for us over setting, ambiance, and menu selection.
Excelente experiencia, comida deliciosa, musica apropiada.
Siempre una gran experiencia
Deckman's was wonderful. The location is very nice and the service was spot on. I find that most of the prices are inflated at the restaurants in the Valley because of the truism. You pay US prices for a great experience and being in the Guadalupe Valley is fantastic. Deckman's food is one restaurant that justifies the menu prices. I would return.
I server Carlos was amazing. Food was great and atmosphere is unbelievable.
By far the best meal in the region. World class experience
Drew Deckman is a talented chef, and created an amazing location to experience some of the best flavors of the Valle de Guadalupe. Our group ordered the vegetables, oysters, ceviche, bone marrow, squash soup, quail, rib eye, and the fish of the day; the menu is extensive and there are great options for vegetarians. The food was delicious, and the stand outs were the bone marrow, oysters and rib eye. Only criticism is that the staff seemed a bit stand-offish, they are not as welcoming as other spots in the area and the service was just ok. I guess you expect a little more when you are in such a beautiful place with amazing food.
Amazing restaurant! Love the setup and the food and service
Definitely the best meal we had in Valle! We’ll be back for sure. The food was delicious (we had the tasting menu w/wine pairing & added bone marrow), the service was superb, and Deckman truly puts his heart into each dish he creates! Thank you for such a special experience. We hope to visit again soon. Next time for the omakase.
Amazing like always! a must go in the valle de Guadalupe
Phenomenal New Year’s Eve celebration! Was blown away by the quality of the many(!!) dishes. Can’t wait to return!
Extremely good meal at deckmans. Great price, great value, was a bit windy but overall amazing and will be back!
The place is great. It was the first time visiting Deckman’s.
We were disappointed in the rib eye. It was fatty and the meat was ok. Other than that the food was nicely prepared and very good.
As always food and setting was fantastic! Cant go wrong here!
We had a great time at Deckman’s. The food and service was exceptional. The restaurant is very cute, al fresco dining. We went in December so it was pretty cold but we knew to bundle up and the restaurant provided blankets and heaters. This restaurant is a must if you are visiting the Valle!
The food was excellent. The service was fair. Our dinner was at the end of December and it’s open air dining, so if you go during that time of year, bring an extra jacket and blanket!
