Deckman's was wonderful. The location is very nice and the service was spot on. I find that most of the prices are inflated at the restaurants in the Valley because of the truism. You pay US prices for a great experience and being in the Guadalupe Valley is fantastic. Deckman's food is one restaurant that justifies the menu prices. I would return.
I server Carlos was amazing. Food was great and atmosphere is unbelievable.

By far the best meal in the region. World class experience
Drew Deckman is a talented chef, and created an amazing location to experience some of the best flavors of the Valle de Guadalupe. Our group ordered the vegetables, oysters, ceviche, bone marrow, squash soup, quail, rib eye, and the fish of the day; the menu is extensive and there are great options for vegetarians. The food was delicious, and the stand outs were the bone marrow, oysters and rib eye. Only criticism is that the staff seemed a bit stand-offish, they are not as welcoming as other spots in the area and the service was just ok. I guess you expect a little more when you are in such a beautiful place with amazing food.

Definitely the best meal we had in Valle! We’ll be back for sure. The food was delicious (we had the tasting menu w/wine pairing & added bone marrow), the service was superb, and Deckman truly puts his heart into each dish he creates! Thank you for such a special experience. We hope to visit again soon. Next time for the omakase.

We were disappointed in the rib eye. It was fatty and the meat was ok. Other than that the food was nicely prepared and very good.

We had a great time at Deckman’s. The food and service was exceptional. The restaurant is very cute, al fresco dining. We went in December so it was pretty cold but we knew to bundle up and the restaurant provided blankets and heaters. This restaurant is a must if you are visiting the Valle!

The food was excellent. The service was fair. Our dinner was at the end of December and it’s open air dining, so if you go during that time of year, bring an extra jacket and blanket!
We really enjoyed our dinner experience! The food was AMAZING, the ambiance and the service were great! For our first experience at Deckman’s we got the best seat in the house by sitting at the bar by the grill (right side), so it was great to see all the cooking and how the kitchen works first hand. It was a cold night, but we were provided blankets and that was more than enough. Everything was fantastic! We cannot wait to come back again!!
I think that under the right circumstances, Deckman's can be an amazing dining experience and I would love to go back. As it was, I think we would have done better ordering dishes rather than the tasting menu and we definitely felt that the wine pairing was not a great value. But in reality, we were so cold that it was just hard to fully appreciate the experience. To make matters worse, we had taken an Uber to the restaurant but when we finished there were none available and apparently there are no taxis in the area. Believe it or not, Drew Deckman himself came over to the table to see if we were okay and upon discovering our dilemma, got one of the employees to drive us home. So if you go in the winter, dress super warmly and don't take an Uber but don't miss the chance to eat here!

Good experience - we got five courses because we had 8 people. My guests were underwhelmed by the main meat course - dry, not tasteful. I had fish because I am a pescatarian and my fish was wonderful! I think the prices have gone up?
Delicious food and wonderful location with spectacular views. Butternut squash with sweetbreads was very tasty and a sublime combination. The pig jowl was tender and flavorful. Dessert was imaginative and a delight on the palate. Fantastic to see Cart Deckman in the outdoor kitchen.

Always first class food and wine...service respectfully attentive and professional. We are in the food and wine business and always bring our guests here for a high quality experience.
We were so excited to try a Deckman’s but were so so so disappointed. We waited 45 minutes for drinks and 90 minutes before any food came then it wasn’t the food we ordered. We specifically asked if the crab cakes were warm and the waiter said yes. But they came cold and over salted. We also had the rabbit, market fish and grilled veggies. All was mediocre at best. But the best part was being charged double for terrible service and overpriced, bad food. Thankfully, one of the female waitresses caught that our waiter charged us double and and changed our bill. The only good part of the evening.
We ate at Fauna the night before and had a wonderful experience. Don’t waste your time with Deckman’s and go to Fauna.
I found it odd that the restaurant boasts about their seasonal menu but yet serves so many cold dishes in the cold weather....the free starter was lovely but would have been better if it were a hot soup or other warm item. We had the bone marrow and while the portion was generous it was very greasy and served with greasy (rather than toasted) bread. The quail was very good but served with a weird cold greenish sauce with a paste-like consistency. I may have just enjoyed the quail so much because it was the only thing we received that was hot. The food just didn't seem to pair well the environment...I certainly try a bunch of the other good restaurants in le Valle before going back to Deckman's.
One of my most favorite places in the Valle! It was so special to share the experience with my mom and family. Wonderful service, insane food and delightful wines!

Amazing farm fresh food by an amazing chef in heart of Valle de Guadalupe. The ambiance is incredible. A wonderful experience while wine tasting in the valley.
Wonderful unique location and ambiance. The tasting menu was delicious as well. I just wish the wine paired better.
Had the pleasure of dining at this amazing restaurant while visiting from San Diego. A friend recommended it to me months ago and I am so happy we went. We sat at the chefs table which is essentially sitting right at the grill. The breeze kept the smoke away from us, and we able able to watch Chef mastering the grill full of quail and beef. We had the tasting menu which started with an Amuse Bouche, followed by incredible Oysters on the 1/2 shell, suckling pig (I know, I felt bad about the piggy but it was amazing), and a delectable desert (that's not all 5 but you get the idea). I bought 2 bottles of wine and we walked out still talking about our experience days later. It would be the main reason I would return to the region. Dress warm or in layers this time of year as you are exposed to the elements and the restroom is down a long pathway.

Considering the place has a Michelin star, I was quite shocked by the quality of food and service. The food was just OK, but certainly nothing special and the service was quite slow. The bathroom is quite far away and when I went there was no water and quite a bit of trash on the floor. Disappointing
