Over this weekend, we ate at 2 other restaurants at McLemore. This one was by far the worst. Service was particularly poor, and a bad reflection on an otherwise high-quality stay at this resort. We specifically requested a patio table on the reservation and the greeter tried to seat us indoors, then gave us a hard time about wanting to sit on the patio although there were several vacant tables. It took 1 hour 45 mins to get thru starters and entrees, and the restaurant was barely even half full. We rarely saw our waiter and he was really pushing us to buy alcoholic drinks. I’ve never been asked so often if I’m sure I wouldn’t like something more from the drink menu. I’m not sure who designed the waitstaff table assignments but all of the waiters seemed to have one table in each of the 4-5 different seating zones which had them running around all over the place…tiring for them and as a patron, it was impossible to flag down your waiter. I was given a dirty napkin, asked for a clean one. 15 mins later, still no napkin. Asked again, was brought a napkin, and it was THE EXACT SAME DIRTY ONE! I simply don’t find this poor level of service acceptable in a resort of this quality. Our experience at the other resort restaurants was far better, especially at Auld Alliance. We may return to McLemore but will certainly NOT return to Croft.

Stay at hotel quite a bit so eat here each stay. Would rate higher if the menu had some rotation in choices since I use to everything.

Enjoyed the drive up Lookout Mountain. You do have to valet park even if you are just there for dining purposes. The property is absolutely incredible. The details in the design and decor are beautiful. We sat at a corner table in the sun, so it felt like we were outside but not in the heat. The food was delicious. We walked around the property and enjoyed the view. All of the hotel staff were welcoming and helpful.

My group of friends had a reservation for lunch at 11:45 on a weekday, which is the time we arrived. The entire restaurant was empty. Not even a staff member in sight. It felt awkward. After a few minutes a wait staff member arrived and said to sit anywhere we wanted. Grabbed a table by the windows. Great view. Nice to see they put rubber feet on the bottom of the chairs, as previous experiences there were extremely loud with the chairs scraping the tile floor. Fast, friendly service followed. We all had the BLFGT sandwiches which came with fries. Delicious, all around. As we were celebrating a birthday, we would have ordered a dessert to share. The waitress brought our check before even asking if we wanted dessert.

They need more food for the Golfers, instead of the Foo-Foo food. More steaks and potatoes.

Although we made a reservation well in advance, the hostess said she had no record of it. She was still able to seat us but it took a few minutes and we were not greeted for quite some time by a server. The food is good, but overpriced and takes a very long time. There is also not much menu selection. We ordered 2 appetizers and an entree and it was almost an hour before any food was brought to our table. The two tables next to us remained dirty and unbussed the entire time we were at the restaurant on a busy Saturday night which was surprising to me for an upscale hotel.
