Lovely Food and good vibes!
Venue slightly small though.
Great Jerk chicken and prawns. Cocktail was lush. Will come again.
Great, obviously some teething issues with the new normal but all in all was a great experience
Lovely Caribbean food and great cocktails
The customer service here is really bad. The waiters act as if You’re wasting their time.
Amazing food as ever
Overall Cottons was great. I really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. There’s a lot to choose from. The staff are friendly, however service can be slow.
Great food. Would recommend the curried mutton with the coleslaw - great portion sizes too.
Great food .. The jerk pork and oxtail were very tasty and the ambience was great.
Our table was slightly delayed because they were so busy and the venues quiet small.. but the service overall was good.
Overall had a great time except one major thing that has put me and my friends from going back.its personal so won’t go into detail and this isn’t to say cottons isn’t great because it was.
Nice vibe. Food and drinks was good. Will definitely be back soon
The service was lackluster. They need more waiters/servers.
I went to cottons a few year ago and was highly disappointed. I go to Reggae Brunch a lot and realised Cottons were the food providers so decided to give them another try and boy was I left satisfied! Food was amazing, staff were lovely and there were constant bangers being played.
I will definitely be back
Myself and my boyfriend ate here for Valentine's, we are returning customers as the food is simply delicious! However, we had to ask for the dessert menu twice before it came to the table, and after waiting over 20 mins to have our dessert order taken, we decided to leave it and get the bill. Busy night though I'm sure so will definitely be back!
As a side note, the door is very hard to close so every time someone leaves it open, it's freezing - so staff constantly have to walk over to shut it and it just takes from experience.
The food was tasty and plentiful. The staff are friendly and helpful. The location of the restaurant is not too far from the station. My only gripe was that they only serve jerk gravy. It would have been nice if there was a choice ie the stew chicken gravy. Other than that I would definitely recommend this restaurant for somewhere to eat.
Cracking food, staff, rum and value. great start to a night out
Booked a table , arrive 18 minutes late . Table was given away and Was told next table available is ours (20-25 minutes max wait). After an hour I approached the manager and we got a 2 seater table for 3 people ( there were over 7 tables empty but the waiter had not set them up ). It then took an additional 10 minutes to be served at the table as the waitress wasn’t informed that we had been seated .As people were walking into the restaurant , the waitress was telling them that there full , even though there were 7 tables empty , whilst the manager kept on telling everyone a 20 minute wait. After then being moved to a bigger table , food arrived. My friends oxtail was tough so we got it removed . My brow stew chicken was terrible . The only items that were tasty were the dumplings and rice and peas.
Over experience was 1/5 . The service was terrible and the food was disappointing. I’ve been to the Vauxhall branch many times and have had the best time.
Was really lovely service, the waitress who served us was really friendly and accommodating - didn’t take her name, small maybe Italian girl with dark hair, glasses and dark lipstick.
Excellent food! Absolutely delicious and great portion sizes
We had a really good meal with the family at the weekend. All enjoyed our food. Starters were good, however my king prawns looked a tad pathetic alongside the lovely lobster mac, fish fritters and ribs. The chicken stew was tasty as was the curried mutton. The service was very good. Loved our waitress, she was very good and the other staff were equally friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was quite when we got there (early dinner at 6) but it all filled up as the evening went in and had a good buzz. All in all we enjoyed our evening.
Food was disgusting, inedible and not authentic. The service was poor and unprofessional because the manager and waitress argued throughout the night like characters from a punch and judy puppet show in front of the customers. They had no vegetarian options so offered chips instead. Will never go back to this restaurant again. Avoid it at all costs.
Fifth time we have been here food always good great value would always recommended will be coming back!
Lovely place of meet a friend and catch up. Rum punch is delicious, my only issue was food was not popping hot, went cold very quick, due to just being warm. But food very tasty.
Brilliant food, Brilliant music! Only downfall was that it was very loud in there so couldnt really have a conversation with friends. Cocktails were fab too! Will be returning.
Food is amazing.
Staff are great
Rum cocktails outstanding
Had meat platter. Meat tender and flavoursome and rice n peas very authentic. Thoroughly enjoyed! Customer service, very attentive and helpful. Music takes you back in time. Seating can be a bit close but you feel so relaxed and at home that it does not spoil the mood. Lighting creates a relaxed mood. Noise levels are as you would expect in any restaurant. You can enjoy conversation with your guests without concern. Will be back! (But not many options if looking for gluten free) Great Cocktails!
Food is pretty good but the service is some of the worst I’ve experienced.
Took so long so someone to take our order, then waiter was standing on the side by their computer taking orders instead of coming close to the table so we had to shout and she had to lean over to hear us, didn’t make any sense.
Took ages every time we wanted to order more to drink, was hard to get their attention, same when we wanted our bill.
Food is very tasty but I don’t think I’ll come back after being ignored like that.
Amazing food and great value for money, drinks reminded me of Caribbean and highly recommend rum punch, drinks a bit pricey so may be check out their happy hour. I would definitely recommend and am actually back there this weekend with another group of friends, the only thing that let's the place down is the toilet facilities (a bit grubby) but other than that a good place to dine out for a taste of the Caribbean in London.
Food and cocktails are always SO good here, a great spot for any occasion. Service is always super friendly and welcoming - the host is great! Waiting staff can sometimes be a bit slow but very sweet and friendly. Perfect location to start a night from, close to loads of great bars and clubs.
Lovely evening, staff were very attentive without being imposing. Food was delicious and the cocktails were strong just as I like them. Would thoroughly recommend and the Mac n Cheese is to die for
At first the meat (mixed platter) came VERY well done to the point where it was burnt in and out. Sent the food back and pointed out the obvious burnt food to the staff.
Requested the same dish but in a better condition. Was more than pleased the 2nd time around.
Rice, meats, and sides are all rich in flavour.
Cocktails were also nice.
If your looking for a restaurant to take you back to the Caribbean, this restaurant is for you, the food is out of this world, with a wide variety of food and drinks to suit everyone
Terrible - my Mac and cheese was stone cold, old and the pasta was hard. The rice and peas was brittle, not freshly cooked.
We were given an hour and a half slot however, our waitress forgot to put our order in which meant we only had half hour to eat and we still didn't receive our food. Our waitress was very apologetic and said she would ask for our table to be extended to her management. We were told we could only have 10mins extra. And exactly at 10 past we were asked to leave. The staff at the bar were loud. The experience wasn't very good and will not be returning which is a shame because the food wasn't too bad.
Food was amazing! Just wish the meat platter was bigger!
. I definitely would return to try more dishes. The portions were adequate.
The camden resturant is way better though it smells of damp and is quite cramp.
The shoreditch venue is small & cramped. The group next to us were overbaringly loud - really they should have been seated in a private party room.
The staff are slow, rude invasive and rushed our dining
Incredible - will be back!
Authentic Caribbean food, great cocktail menu, banging reggae playlist (reminiscent of the music played growing up)
The staff were a bit slow in taking orders and they messed up our bill but we're not fussed about all that.
Everything is fairly priced, the cocktails are strong yet fun and most importantly the food is tasty and wonderfully presented (The lobster mac and cheese is to die for)
Cottons is far ahead of it's competitors - Turtle Bay and Tracks & Records
It could do with a bigger and better space. If this restaurant had Turtle bay's unmatched 2'4'1 cocktail menu and Tracks & Records space and decor... we'd have not just a perfect Caribbean restaurant, we'd have just a perfect Restaurant
I like Caribbean food but there is often not much for the vegetarians. Cottons had a couple of options but I liked the look of both. I went for the Ital vegan curry. It was absolutely delicious, I have been craving it ever since. I also had dumplings which were lovely and tasted of cinnamon. The only down-side was that the curry was almost too hot for me to eat, which is why I had the dumpings with it. But I preserved because the flavour was so good. I nicked my partner's plantain and loved that too. I can't wait to go back and try the other veggie option. Just a shame we were too full for pud.
