I was very disappointed! Went for a birthday brunch Sunday with my family of seven.
Room was very noisy!
Food was expensive for breakfast food.
The food was COLD when served.
We were charged $10 for a small piece of cake with a birthday candle on it.
Service was good..waiter really tried hard to please!
Overall, I think they need to do better!
Great food- manager stopped by to check on us. Our wait staff was new to brunch and did a fabulous job.
Brunch was “ok”... not what I was expecting from a flavor profile. I am going to give it a try for lunch and dinner as I noticed others having normal lunch menu items that looked delicious
Everything we ordered was delectable coupled with wonderful service :)
Great atmosphere, and interesting menu options that are not found at other area restaurants.
We went there for brunch. The food was bland and wasn't worth the price.
Great food and great service. A bit loud but not a deal breaker.
A bit pricey for what you get compared to the competition.
No clear gluten free menu
Had an excellent server who was most helpful to one of my guest's with a very restrictive diet on selections from the menu.
The brunch here is delicious. The fried green tomatoes and French toast sticks are worth it. The staff is super nice as well.
We were there w/ another couple that we hadn't seen in a while. I ordered the Duck meal and it was the worst Duck I've ever eaten. It was like chewing on the bottom of my shoe even though it tasted good. There was more gristle than actual meet that i could consume. The waiter missed a side dish too that didn't come out until after we were all done. That was ok but it added to the frustration. I didn't say anything because we were with our dear friends. The rest of the food was pretty good. I wanted to get reimbursed for that meal...it wasn't cheap. I just didn't want to ruin the rest of the night...
Things did not start off very well. Even though we had a reservation and arrived on time we had to wait almost a half hour for a table. Then we waited another 15 minutes before a server came up. Drinks orders took a long time to come. But once the food started arriving the pace quickened and the service improved. Food was very good. Unusual dishes. Sauces and sides were excellent. Portions were just perfect. Not too big. Not too small.
We took our son in law and daughter for a birthday dinner. The waiter was most attentive and accommadating with a baby and toddler along. He asked as soon as we ordered our beverages if we wanted to put in an order for the toddler, great move!! This coming from a young man was most impressive and made our dinner go smoothly. The selection of Virginia craft beer definitely was fun for my husband. We found the complimentary popcorn near the bar a huge help as well to occupy the two year old. The food was delicious and a nice variety of choices for all of us. We will definitely be back!
Great Drinks, great dinner foods, but peanut butter sundae needs a lot of extra sauce. Like peanut butter sauce or more chocolate sauce would make it perfect.
We really enjoyed this relatively new restaurant at Loudoun One. Drinks, appetizers, bread and meals were all tasty. It's a farm to table restaurant...everything was fresh and local! It's not cheap though. Cocktails really start at $12, and if you order an entree for $19 (veggie) to $49 or so, you are not getting any sides. Order some shared sides, which looked amazing. We did not do this, but will next time. Figure $50-60 a person if you get a cocktail and entree and you share an appetizer and a couple of sides. Service was outstanding.
Service ce was awful, no host. Had to ask the bartender to be seated. Took 10 min for a server. She was nice and competent but foot and service was slow. Didn’t check on us barely though walked by several times.
Was a nice evening with my date and we had a wonderfilul time. The atmosphere was very casual the food was good. A little on the pricey side being a la cart. But glad they promote local farmers. The service was nice and the server was very nice and helpful to all our questions. Food was prepared well but the price was the drawback that has the minus.
Nice Valentines dinner. Ordered from menu and had filet and among entrees. Both were very good. Only downside is the restaurant is very noisy especially when crowded. Otherwise was a very good dinner.
We had the venison strip which was exquisite. The sauce that accompanied the meat finished the dish very well. The meat was so tender it almost melted in your mouth. We had a very attentive waiter that made us feel like royalty.
Our party had an 8:00pm reservation for Copperwood Tavern. We were 5 minutes late because of backups in the parking garage behind the restaurant. Upon arrival, the host staff advised that they were 'preparing our table.' That preparation took 40 minutes. Had staff informed us that they were running behind schedule, we would have grabbed a drink and maybe an app at the bar to hold us over.
Our service was great, the food was great, I will definitely go back for sure. If I had to give any critique, I would say the music was a little to loud for me. If you have not been GO!
I had the brussel sprout/steak salad. Cost $18. Steak was minimal and tough. Not a good value for the price.
I also had the fried green tomatoes which were delicious.
Service was fine.
The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. My rare ordered steak was cooked medium well and so was my dinner guest but the sides were delicious
I was disappointed overall, was hoping for more than average. The scallops while good are ridiculously overpriced, 4 on a plate for $28!! The filet was good but not as high quality as I thought it would be. The Brussels sprouts were really good but at $10 for a side of them they should be! Fries were very average.
I was very excited to try some rare items on the menu such as duck eggs, venison and moonshine. I will definitely be coming back to try the rabbit and the Scotch eggs next time. The service was great even though it was a Saturday night, we got seated in a nice booth and were served fast. The wine recommendations were excellent as well, the wine recommended by our server, Rachel, went with the venison perfectly and tasted great. Meat was tender and cooked just right and the sides were big enough for two and tasted amazing, especially the mashed potatoes and mac& cheese. The decor was perfect to match with the food, the fire place and the deer head on the mental made us feel like we were at the real hunter's house. The only downside were the prices.
I was so excited to experience all that this restaurant had to offer! The drinks were reasonably priced and delicious! The food, however, was awful. I chose the braised rabbit and my date chose the chicken. We were both disappointed by blandness of both dishes. My rabbit was served over wheat noodles, but the lack of spices caused me not to even finish half of my meal. The chicken came alone on a plate and was over $20 for a small amount of meat. We would still go back for drinks, but the food was not worth it!
Great food - tasted very fresh. Had oysters and then the rabbit. Others had the mushroom crostini, steak and a salad. All enjoyed.
When considering dining options--especially at One Loudon--I would say my experience at Cooperwood Tavern ranks as a "One and Done." I had the Beer Battered Chicken Breast and for $22, it should have been amazing. It was not. It tasted fine but it was topped with a lot of butter for flavor. And for $22, all I got was the chicken. I had to spend another $14 to get Fried Green Tomatoes as side, and they were fine, but nowhere near as good as the ones at other places. My issue with Cooperwood is that the price you pay is far too much for the value of the food. I felt as if I had spent way too much--even with just a glass of wine--for the meal I had. And if I regret paying for something, it means a great deal. My friends had scallops and beef and they split brussel sprouts. Overall, we were not thrilled with the check at the end of the night for what we had eaten. As for service, the servers were lackluster at best. We got a lot of automatic chatter with no personality or care about what our thoughts were. And when I asked what does the chicken come with and the waitress said "nothing" so sharply, I felt a tad insulted. If you're curious, try Cooperwood. If you want a great meal for the value, dine at Aggio or Eddie Merlot's. I don't plan to ever return here.
Great for a date, great ambiance, the bar was exceptionally friendly. Food was overpriced for the experience.
We had a lovely lunch seated by the fireplace on beautifully sunny but frigid day. It was wonderful. The atmosphere of this restaurant is bright and cheerful (cute doggie prints adorn the booth walls) with an overall outdoorsy mountain retreat aesthetic. The food is fresh and beautifully presented. Two diners of our party had the salmon which was served with a nice crispy crust and cooked to perfection. The other diners had salads which were given a :thumbs up" by both. This was my second visit to this establishment and I was not disappointed.
Copperwood Tavern does farm to table right - from it's amazing meals to its hand crafted drinks... We've been to the one in Shirlington, VA and just went the other evening to the new one at One Loudoun. Every member of the staff considers it her/his responsibility to make sure you have a great experience - - - highly recommend it!
wanted to love this place. beautiful venue . Our table was not ready until 15 minutes after our reservation time . The manager did give us come complimentary champagne to compensate for that, which was very nice. They were out of the Tomahawk Chopwe ordered. took 45 minutes to arrive at our table after ordering. Ribeye we ordered instead was stringy.
The farm-to-table restaurant had a very good menu, with choices not seen commonly in the restaurants nearby. It is more expensive than several other picks in One Loudon, but the options are more varied than your typical burger/steak fare. The food was tasty and accompanying sauces full of flavor.
Order was wrong. Merry rare duck came out well done. I have had much better food here. Did not say anything due to a business meeting
Had a very entertaining and fun night with friends, and our new favorite server, Edward!
Okay place. Great decor and atmosphere. Service was good. Food okay.
Fantastic customer service. My date and I felt very welcomed and appreciated during our entire visit.
Met up with a co-worker to hang out and enjoyed every moment! The pork chop and the steak were great. Those mashed potatoes are out of this world! Server was polite, experienced, and gave us space to chat. Loved it.
For the price, I expected better. I ordered the chicken and although the butter sauce was quite tasty, the chicken was slightly overcooked. My date ordered the steak and wished it was made clear that it comes without side items. You have to order shared sides separately from the main course which makes it feel like it's a way to nickel and dime you.
Server, Rachel, was awesome and attentive. Ordered the pork chops, scallops, Brussels sprouts, fries, and fried green tomatoes. Every single thing was delicious. Highly recommend.
