Comal Restaurant & Bar - Chileno Bay Resort & Residences
Food is disappointing. So is Cocina Del Mar. You need new menus or chefs at both resort restaurants. Aqua at Palmilla is fantastic now.
Very chic ambience and service was exceptional. We were extremely disappointed with our main dish. With that said, we would try Comal again.
No words can describe. You have to experience one of the most beautiful places and the word. A dinner you will never forget, Comal at chileno.
The view is great. Food was good not great.
Everything about this restaurant was beautiful from the food, atmosphere and amazing views. It was our best meal in Cabo. We did not stay at this resort and at the end of your bill there is a resort fee that was about 12% added to your bill. That is the only thing we did not like as this is over and above tip and tax.
Beautiful setting, great food and cocktails, great service and ambiance.
I never provide comments on this site, but wanted to say that this is an outstanding place. A rare find! I first came to this area 30 years ago and this is by far the best food and dining experience on the coast ive ever had. Great menu, good wine and cocktails. Music was ideal, not too loud or out of place. Its great to find a place here that can compete with the best in USA.
Excellent food and excellent service. Ahi tuna and the chicken are my favorites
This is a must dine at restaurant when you are in Cabo. The beautiful ocean view, the gorgeous atmosphere, and the amazing food and service makes for a very special evening in Cabo San Lucas. This was a stand out evening for us - Well done Comal!!!
Jaw dropping location and food.
Our visit to Comal was absolutely brilliant! It is set above the rocks on a beautiful part of the coast. Everything is considered at Comal: the space, the drinks, and the music. The restaurant has a modern deign with warm colors that fit into the landscape. The cocktails were amazing, perfectly balanced. I recommend going early to catch the changing colors at sunset. Our server Salvador was thoughtful, patient, knowledgeable, and kind. He also had great recommendations on each portion of the menu. The food was not only delicious and creative but visually stunning as well. The menu is in tapas style and We chose four items from different sections. Each item was plated beautifully with vibrant colors and we were given time between courses. It was nice to not be rushed through the meal. I highly recommend Comal to all.
Everything was fantastic ex
The food, the view, the service. All were spectacular!
The food is excellent but the place is noisy.
We had a table of 6 next to us which was very loud. Too many big parties and not enough space between tables.
Best restaurant we have eaten at in Cabo. The view is stunning and the seafood dishes we had were all outstanding. The service was excellent. We will be back!
The restaurant is outdoors overlooking Chileno Bay. Absolutely beautiful. Cocktails are very good. Service is impeccable. They automatically add 15 percent service charge to your bill. Many menu selections. I had the grilled shrimp. Simply grilled with a dipping sauce and grilled vegetables. We also shared some ceviche. I have been there several times and the food is consistently very good! Will go again on our next trip to cabo.
We loved the restaurant, great food, music and amazing views! We would definitely recommend it to family and friends.
Beautiful restaurant. Food was amazing. All the waiters suggestions were spot on. Loved this place!
There was a loud event/celebration taking place outside the restaurant on the beach which drowned out the band which was playing in the restaurant. It was a very cold windy evening and although there are decorative fire elements around no gas heaters provided by the restaurant. Combined this made for a very unpleasant, disappointing evening.
Absolutely beautiful. Would recommend and go again myself. I think there was a bit of a language barrier between our party and the waiter so wine and beverage took a little longer than normal. Overall VERY GOOD
Maravillosa experiencia! Un deleite para todos los sentidos
Very beautiful setting, excellent food and the service was perfect!!
What a great setting, vibe and view. Modern, yet authentic. Top quality. Amazing service. Beautiful! We cannot wait to go back!
Beautiful view and fantastic authentic Mexican dishes.
Comal is a beautiful restaurant. The view over the ocean are breathtaking. The ambiance is spectacular.
Food was delicious! Love the whole red snapper to share.
Best red snapper ever!!!
Absolutely stunning restaurant and fantastic service from Salvador! Beautiful experience in every way...cocktails, food & ambiance!
Outstanding views, delicious food, every detail is magnificent.
Fantastic food in an almost celestial, serene setting near the water's edge. A warm welcome followed by Impeccable service. We will return soon!
Another outstanding dinner celebrating my husband’s birthday with friends who had never been to Comal. Everyone loved their meals as well as the attentive service we received. Can’t wait to return!!
Lovely food. Lovely view. Sometimes the staff got busy and forgot to check on our wine refill, coffee refill, etc
Forgot a side dish and didn’t even to bring it, even after being told
Sommelier had an attitude
Not going back
We had a lovely evening the only thing I could think of to perhaps improve on would be a wider selection of wine by the glass
Gorgeous setting, great views and amazing service. The short rib appetizer and the duck sopa are musts.
Outstanding food - fresh oysters, fish, unusual appetizers - served in perhaps the most beautiful setting in all of Los Cabos. We had Striped Bass, Totuava (hard to find), and then a Shared Grill (shrimp, octopus, steak, etc) which was very good. The oysters - Kumamoto and Kumiai - were as fresh as you'd find in Portland or Seattle. The smoked Duck Sopes were delightful. But the menu changes often, based on what the chef can get his hands on.
We brought our own wine ($35 corkage) because their wine list is extremely over-priced, about 4 times retail. Service was good, although it took more than 5 minutes after being seated to get our wine poured or cocktails served.
Comal was an extraordinary setting for a meal. With beautiful surroundings and tastefully decorated, we knew we were in for a treat. We had a wonderful ceviche and then had the whole fish snapper dinner for two which was outstanding. I have to say though, that the hot chocolate dessert was the unexpected hit of the night. We almost didn't order it, because ...well who orders hot chocolate at a fine dining restaurant? It was traditionally prepared by our server using your choice of cacao from several different origins, . We selected Mexican, enjoyed the presentation and then the drink which was wonderful.
Excellent food with impeccable service in a beautiful outdoor setting.
