Cinnamon Kitchen calificaciones y reseñas
Had diner here previously a few years ago and really enjoyed my experience. The food was lovely. This time, however, the meals which we ordered off of the set menu were ok but nothing to rave about.
And the staff were a bit rude as one walked away midway through my friend ordering his meal.
My girlfriend and I ate in your restaurant on a Monday evening. I ordered the taster menu. There was a considerable delay in taking my order, despite a half empty restaurant (indeed for my birthday celebration). The "prawn" and "lamb" were overcooked and the deer was unappetising. There was a considerable delay between each course, to the extent that we left before the desert was served. The manager appeared rude and the staff were inattentive. Very poor.
The early evening deal here is very good. Unfortunately every time we come there seems to be a corporate function on. This time there were 3. Large numbers of people thronging outside the window does not lead to a relaxing meal. The dahl and bread is exceptional however
Whilst the waiters were very friendly when attending to you it was clear they simply didn't have enough waiters to cover the floor. This resulted in a slow service, the white wine was served at room temp (simply not correct). Food was reasonable and good quality ingredients but not up to the standard it should be given the price.
An excellent restaurant
The food is a different take on Indian cuisine. The monk fish is lovely as is the starter sharing platter
The bar next door (part of the restaurant) is lovely too but you do need to be prompt them to collect you
They even gave us free prosecco and a 'messaged dessert' as it was out anniversary - a lovely touch and our waiter was excellent
Had more of a café feel but the food was superb - and service (even on a busy Saturday night), friendly and attentive.
Would definitely recommend if you want amazing and authentic Indian food - great for groups and date nights; but if you want something intimate this might not be the place for you.
An enjoyable evening and meal in an enviable location. The sharing platter starter was a bit small for two people if you have a big appetite. Better to order starters individually. The set menu was really good value for money - 2 of 6 of us chose this option and it was not disappointing. I would definitely visit again.
I went with a colleague and our CEO, who is a huge fan of Indian cuisine but being based in the USA doesn't get to eat good Indian food too often. We had the tasting menu with wine matches, and having had the ox cheek vindaloo at Cinnamon Soho we added an extra plate of pork cheek vindaloo to our already big order. It was all delicious, the wines were great choices and service was impeccable. An added bonus was meeting chef Vivek Singh. The vindaloo cheeks were as amazing as we'd imagined, to teh extent that we managed to fit another portion in. Will certainly go again.
We had the early dinner set menu and sat outside and it was pretty much perfect for our evening. There could maybe have been an extra vegetarian option for the starter and main course but we were offered an alternative and so this wasn't an issue at all because of that. The set menu is excellent value and the outside dining space was really lovely.
Good setting sitting outside under cover of Devonshire Square. Excellent food, more interesting than usual Indian restaurants with the fish being especially good. Good service but toilets let it down (one women toilet for large restaurant).
Dinner is overpriced. Food is not that good for the proce. Bryanni is hard to eat as chicken and rice are both hard texture. Hard to get waiter's attention. Only thing I liked about this restaurant is that it has a storage room for my bag
Four of us enjoyed a beautiful lunch - first class food in a warm and ambient setting. The staff were incredibly attentive and the service was superb. The food is modern, fresh, creative, stylish and of course, delicious! I would recommend it for any occasion. The Executive Chef, Vivek Singh, took enough care to come out and meet us to check that we were happy with our meal - indeed we were! Even though it will be a couple of train journeys for me, I am now making this my 'go-to' Indian restaurant. You will not be disappointed!!
Tasting menu offered very poor value for money and lacked the innovation and creativity you expect from a superstar chef like Vivek Singh. I had hoped to be leaving talking about the food with my client but not in the negative way that we did.
Great choice from the fixed price menu. Spring rolls for starters and Pigs Cheek curry with Mash presented like Meat and 2 veg. Aromatic, with a light bite. Finished with guava Soup and Sorbet -delicious, refreshing and palate cleansing. Finally, a lovely pot of hot milky chai. Great classy street food. Service impeccable, not overstated, and decor classy (we sat outside in the sun) Including four glasses of prosecco and service, bill came to £101. Quelle surprise! Much more to try. Back soon. Oh and the appetiser was stunning, tasty, crunchy with a nice afterbite in the tonsils.
A great spot, especially as it's "outdoor" space is usable in all weathers. The food was delicious and they were very amenable to us pulling up an extra chair for a friend who dropped by later. While most staff were very pleasant, some seemed excessively keen on trying to sell us a more expensive bottle of wine or an additional plate of food
I had an extremely good night out. We sat on a terrace. The view was breathtaking, lights, candles and the Gherkin in the background. The food was delicious. We had two courses and a desert. The portions were generous. Cocktails were stunning, I ordered Mint and Ginger Gin, the cup was really big and a flavour was perfect. Stuff serving us was very attentive and polite. Overall we left happy. I can definitely recommend this place.
