   Food was great and the service was excellent. The portions were great. Even my 10-year-old son like the escargot.

   The new chouchou location is attractive and comfortable. The menu is split with a $65 prix fixe option, if you want a three course meal and plan to choose the most expensive items in each this is a decent option. Otherwise, Ala carte ordering is a decent option. And portions are sufficient to share. I found the wine service to be on the stingy side, especially for $20 pours. The better option is the 1/4 or 1/2 liter carafes. Service was prompt and attentive, although no suggestions or further information about the menu were offered. There was a sense that energetic service did to include much fluency about the menu. A worthy option requiring some discretion in ordering.

   It was our first time at Chouchou. The service was outstanding. Everyone was very attentive and friendly. The food was great. I had chicken Marsala, my husband had trout. My husband had bread pudding for dessert, it was superb. It’s a great place for a romantic dinner! We can’t wait to go back!

   Loved celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary at Chou Chou. Our waitress was amazing. I wish I had gotten her name. We enjoyed the Baked Brie appetizer (highly recommend!) and the beet salad. I had the salmon with corn risotto which was delicious. My husband had the baked salmon in pastry, which he also really enjoyed. Great little spot! You feel like you are in France.

   My family and I had a lovely evening celebrating my wife's birthday at this wonderful neighborhood bistro in Burlingame. The evening went effortlessly with prompt seating at a nice quiet window table. The service was five star, very attentive and on point. Recommendations were on target and execution was excellent. The one thing worth mentioning was that the medium rare filet I ordered came out medium. I was prepared to eat it, but mentioned this to our waiter who insisted he take it back for another attempt. The second steak came out medium rare and perfect to my expectations. Our waiter went above and beyond which is why I would again return to Chou Chou! We would highly recommend this restaurant for special occasions. The dishes we had and recommend include the Charcuterie appetizer, beet salad, tuna tartare appetizer, Seafood Ciappino, and the Filet Beouf. Their other dishes are also quite good, I suspect. Kudos to the soulful French vocals which created the ambience of bistro dining in Paris along the Seine.

    Excellent service by Andre. Food was very good and good sized portions. Lobster ravioli was very tasty. Will go back to try other offerings in the menu.
