Chef Geoff's Tysons
The food was wonderful as was our server. Only thing was the communication, a side item ordered was out of stock/not available and we were not informed until we asked about it after the meal was served. I understand this happens but it should have been told to us at ordering, as this was on the specialty menu. Manager apologized and said something about not realizing it was out until that morning.... they did bring a nice box of chocolate's for one of the guest's birthday but it was completely melted and not edible. I do like this restaurant and will go back, just seemed very off.
We were a party of 6 having a mini family reunion. The food was very good and the service excellent. The price point was not bad either. The restaurant was pretty empty for a Saturday night which was surprising.
I was celebrating a special occasion with friends and we chose Chef Geoff's in Tysons. The food was outstanding and our server was available when needed but didn't hover over us and make us feel like we were overstaying our welcome.
We had a lovely evening.
It was great
Food was fine, but they were not very busy and service was slow. Ordered a bottle of wine, and it didn't come until after the food arrived.
We had a group of 10 and everyone from our server to the manager were absolutely amazing!!! We loved this experience so much, and will definitely be back. Thank you for making a Saturday brunch such a memorable experience. Food + drinks were great, too. Lots of love for the breakfast mac & cheese, and the hangover burger #2 was so good, even when I didn’t need it for the described reason. ☺️
Normally a good lunch experience but not this time. Greek salad special was inedible from over salting.
Server was gone for extended times.
Valet took 30 minutes... and not a busy time.
Will likely be back but frustrating.
Would like to recognize our server BRENT for the outstanding service he provided us.
We were a large party of 10, celebrating 3 birthdays, and Brent took great care of us! He answered everyone’s questions, got all the orders correct, and kept the beverages coming. We had a great time, enjoyed the delicious food and Brent’s fantastic service. This was our first visit to Chef Geoff’s and we are sure to return! Thank you!
Food needs more flavor. Soup was bland. Bread was tasteless. Fried chicken was bland. Service was dreadfully slow.
Great menu and great staff
Great spinach salad and dressing. the soup, vegetable, was a little bland. price is right
2nd great meal at Chef Geoff's. Our waiter (Tyler) was exceptional and the food was great--mushroom pizza, sole fillet, CG burger were all great! We brought our own wine and paid the corkage fee, which was well worth it! Looking forward to our 1st "Bacon Dinner" coming Tuesday (couldn't get reservation for the 6:30 seating...but 8pm works). Great food for a great value!
We celebrated my niece’s 13th Bday and it was fabulous. Our waiter was the best part!
Celebrate an outstanding employee
Excellent. Consistent. My first choice.
Lovely Valentines meal. Wonderful server. Had the sole and it was light and flavorful. I enjoyed the tuna avocado appetizer. I loved the crispy avocado what a brilliant idea. My husband and I ordered the Valentines dessert. I remember that it was rich, chocolatey and yummy. Great time and excellent food and service.
Nice place with good service and food. I would go back and try again
Excellent service, freshly prepared food, tasted great! Pecan crusted Salmon was outstanding! Enjoyed the fried avocado and Tuna Poke Appetizer. Very unique. Highly recommend for first date or special night out, cozy atmosphere.
Alex was an amaz
Starting to look a little tired. Everything was just OK, nothing special.
Please stop asking if you can clear the plates when there are food still on plates. It seems as if they are trying to kick people out. Other than this everything was ok.
Down in VA for a week long training session, took a night off to sample some local fare and chose Chef Geoff's Tysons.
Situated in an office building behind a Tiffiny's store, inside the restaurant was nicely appointed. A lively after work bar scene greeted us as we were led back to our table. The space is bright and nicely furnished.
I tried a local IPA that Chef Geoff has partnered with that was very tasty, not too heavy with a clean hop aroma a good finish.
I had the maple chicken entree, while my dining partners had the cordon bleu berger and fish taco's. All were well made and tasty. The maple chicken came with acorn squash and pasta. The chicken was cooked well with a flavorful maple glaze and the acorn squash and pasta was a delightful complement.
The restaurant was a little noisy, making conversation difficult at times, but all in all a most enjoyable evening.
Good atmosphere. Wait staff was very nice. Food was great. also had a special deal on wine bottles that night. i would definitely go again. especially loved that it was complimentary valet parking!!
Great service and food for a party of 9 celebrating a birthday with an elderly woman in a wheelchair. The best fried calamari I’ve ever eaten, tender and not heavily fried. Generous portions and patient wait staff.
Made reservations for a party of 4 for Saturday night during the extended Restaurant Week. Showed up on time, the car valet service was prompt. No one at the hostess area. We seated ourselves at a table in the bar area and talked for at least 5 minutes without a hostess or server showing up. Bar was not busy but the bar staff was busy talking with customers. When someone finally got to us with menus, I asked for the Restaurant Week menu. He replied they weren't doing the extended week. He went to get water and place settings and a manager returned to explain that the owner decided not to extend the week. I called American Prime, rescued our car from valet, and had a great RW meal there. Dropped about $400 with drinks and wine. So I had a fantastic time; just not at CG's.
We had numerous issues with our food. Our waiter tried to get the manager involved, but it did not fix the issue. We requested the tuna to be seared (stressed this numerous times) and it came out medium. The kitchen then ran out of tuna and then we requested a hanger steak medium and it came it rare. They offered to throw it back on the grill, but then it was still med rare. Very disappointing. The waiter was doing his best, but it seemed the kitchen could not get us there.
Very nice! Super friendly and accommodating.
The menu here seems a bit limited, but fine if you want a basic salad, hamburger or pizza. The atmosphere was great--it was crowded but not too noisy, the lighting was nice and it seemed like a great place for a date night or to meet up with friends. The server was wonderful and the manager also came by to check and make sure the food was okay. It would have been nice to see more pasta choices or fish dishes on the menu. The desserts we tried were nice. Most of all, the ambiance was good and even though the restaurant seemed lively and fairly full, we never felt rushed or ignored by our waiter.
Food is consistently good and the service is always top notch. I enjoy doing business lunches here because you know you are going to have a quality experience. I always appreciate how the manager on duty walks around and checks on the tables. Great place - top pick in Tysons.
Food was incredible. We got a ton of food at a very reasonable price.
Service was awful. It was slow and inattentive. The server, Jalen, was unhelpful in making suggestions. He also could not hear anything we said. Our meal was prolonged by 30 minutes because he was more interested in watching the football game.
The food was not good at all, the home made pasta was kind of too dry and tough to bite on it
It was a wonderful dining experience. Our party of eight was seated promptly upon arrival. Our server was very attentive and helpful with the dietary concerns of some of our party. The food was superb.
Food was mediocre; service was terrible and it was more expensive than warranted. Won't return.
Unfortunately lunch took much longer than I expected. Even with a reservation, the two of us were there two hours and almost a performance we were going to afterwards. Food was great! We will be back.
Service is uneven. Servers reach across the table to serve and bring next courses before clearing prior. Really need a revolving door as front rooms are very drafty when front door opens. Food is creative but didn't appreciate most of the seafood dishes being fried. Good value on Restaurant Week with big menu to choose from but brunch menu layout was confusing. Never offered coffee at dessert. Ran out of chocolate dessert because dessert menu options were very minimal.
Kitchen got backed up probably due to restaurant week and things took longer than needed during second half of our lunch
Great spot for brunch. Will have to come back for happy hour!
One of the few restaurants that truly opens up their menu during restaurant week. Outstanding food that is very creative. Well worth the visit.
