We cancelled a different reservation so we could go to Casa Nostra. Wow, was that ever a mistake! They didn't have the first two choices on the menu I wanted. The food was slow getting to us. The server dropped a utensil on me and stained my shirt. It took an hour to get an appetizer and salad out to us so we ended up cancelling our entrees and paid for what we already had. I was so disappointed as my wife and I were really looking forward to going out by ourselves to a nice restaurant for dinner. We weren't the only ones in the place who were also having a less than positive experience. The table next to us waited a long time for an appetizer, only for it to be cold when it arrived. Sorry, it will be our first and last time to this place.
Very nice Italian restaurant in the heart of Leesburg. Nice building and ambiance with a quiet upper floor and a ground floor with a bar and live music on weekends. A place to have a nice dinner, food and service was great. A nice place to eat at the bar or bar top tables and enjoy good food, watch sports and listen to a band play.
Sea bass was delicious but there is an entire performance at your table to remove it from the weird cocoon thing it's cooked in... because of the table arrangement and where I was seated, it was all performed behind me. Pork shank was small and overpriced, although reportedly delicious.
Paid less and tipped more at Mon Ami Gabi in Reston for all-around better experience at roughly the same price.
We ordered the meatballs. We ate them but they were way over cooked. You had to use a knife to saw thru them. The waiter took $5 off the price of the meatballs ($10). He should have taken them completely off the menu.
My date had a shrimp meal that was touted as being “a little spicy, not much”. She could not finish it.
My meal was ok.
I would recommend if you eat there to insist upon the meals being prepared appropriately. Since this was a date, I didn’t want to kick up a fuss

Authentic Italian restaurant with an elegant dining room. Service was very friendly, courteous and professional. Wine selection is good, especially the many Italian wines available. The spinach salad and carpaccio starters with complimentary rosemary bread and olive oil were delicious. Entrees and dessert were fresh and inviting, as if we were in Italy! The perfect spot for a celebratory dinner or an evening out on the town.
We were greeted by a hostess who assumed that two women going out to dinner were gay and wanted to know if we are celebrating our anniversary.
Service was slow and poor which was unacceptable since there were only eight diners. The food was editable but not enough for me to bring home what I did not eat. My friend had to get up and get her own take out box.
The view from my table was an open door to the toilet.
Went on a Friday night and the town was having its monthly street party. Bar was crowded but dining room was not. We have been here before and we’re delighted so we were expecting another good experience. Both our entrees were warm -not hot which was disappointing. Will probably try one more time but didn’t consider this a good experience
We are big fans of Casa Nostra. Food is always delicious and service generally impeccable. The service was not quite up to par primarily because there was a large party going on and the restaurant was very busy. They seemed a bit short staffed.
I had the sea bas and it was amazing! Never had anything like it.

Casa Nostra never disappoints. The Lasagna was delicious, and the Bolognese was meaty and filling. Even their tiramisu was good, light and creamy. We really enjoyed it.

we split the arancici of the day as an appetizer, and the waiter knew it, but we had to ask for small plates and there was no spoon to share the sauce. The rice ball was good. There were no real evening specials. I got the 5 cheese ravioli, which was fine, but tasted of Sysco. My husband got the tortollone of the day, which was four medium-size dumplings in a shallow bowl of broth. There was no spoon for the broth and for $34, four wasn't enough. I gave him 1 ½ of my raviolis to fill the void. His zabaglione was lovely, but my torta alla nonna had a crust that was underdone and a filling that was overdone. The wine was fine.
Food and service was great. However, there was a large party with 6 children that were very loud throughout dinner. The staff never addressed the noise level. Left us with an overall bad experience.
My family and I love Casa Nostra- the food is delicious, and this trip was no exception. I would like to add, however, that the portion size of two of our three entrees was lacking this trip. We have not had this issue prior at Casa Nostra. My husband and I ordered the mushroom ravioli and daily tortellini respectively. We each received four raviolis/tortellinis, each about the size of a golf ball. That works out to $6 per ravioli, tortellini even more. We finished our meals very quickly, we’re still hungry and filled up on table bread. We didn’t say anything at the time because we didn’t want to spoil the experience with our family. I would like the restaurant to know- hence this review.
We sat in the bar area so we could enjoy the Lisa Fiorilli Jazz Trio. They added to our experience. Food was delicious.
Website had pictures of what was on their menu and when we were ordering nothing was on the menu l, we even asked the waitress. My ravioli were not cooked. Iced tea smelled like eggs. Only had olive bread no other options. This was for our 28 th wedding anniversary very disappointed.

More of a winter kind of place. They’ll push the fish but I’d recommend you stick to traditional pasta meals. Overpriced for what you get. Their watermelon gaspacho is basically melon juice. Risotto got high marks. My fish was bland and overpriced. Shrimp scampi tomato sauce was sick and thin pasta over cooked. Glass of Malbec was excellent
Server was brand new...first day. Asked for Veal Milanese and told no. They have Veal Parm on the menu and Milanese is pounded and breaded. HMMM. I guess pounding a breading is out of the question. Then ordered the special which was Lobster Ravioli and they were out of the special cream sauce...our reservation was for 7pm so they ran out before prime time. Offered lemon butter instead. No thank you I do not like lemon.
Favorite DC area Italian is Landini Brothers in Old Town Alexandria. Casa Nostra can learn a lot from Landini Brothers.
Superb service! Outstanding food!
Our 6 person family had a 6P reservation for Mother's Day and encountered several issues here - not the least of which was the previously undisclosed limited menu with a charge of $50/person.
We noticed many menu errors, among them, "ingerling potatoes"and two different scallopini spellings. Our server made the excuse that the manager put the menu together quickly in the morning.
Our food was poorly prepared and presented. Out of 6 different entrees, only the spaghetti Bolognese was edible (and, who can't make an acceptable red meat sauce?) Overcooked, dry salmon; chewy, overdone veal served over scant, salty noodles....etc.
The building, an old townhouse, has potential for charm - most of it bypassed. Drab drapes, stucco walls with no adornment, unattractive furniture. The wooden floors are beautiful.
The manager, Randy, did the right thing in not charging for the meal,, stating that the food didn't meet his expectations and excusing the kitchen for being "tired after a long day." The restaurant was perhaps a third full when we arrived.
Leesburg has much better to offer.
We sat upstairs so it was quiet. Louder downstairs where the live music was. Started with spicy clams which we enjoyed. They had given us one piece of bread each to start and then offered to bring more but it never came. Could not enjoy the clam sauce as much as we would have like to due to lack of bread. I had the SALMONE CON GNOCCHI AL PESTO and the salmon tasted like it was soaked in butter - it should not be an overwhelmingly rich dish. Gnocchi was bland. Partner had the Scallops with black squid ink pasta and it was fairly tasteless. We expressed our disappointment and the waiter comped up dessert which was very nice. Had the Tiramisu which was excellent - the best thing we had the restaurant. Disappointing first try at Casa Nostra. We won't be back.
The place is beautiful inside and we were greeted by a very nice young lady upon arrival. Service was very nice and efficient. We were given 1 piece of delicious bread each. Not a basket of bread or a small loaf, 1 thin piece of bread each. Our dinners were very tasty however, very small. 2 chicken parm dinners and 1 chicken marsala, 1 piece of chicken breast with a small dollop of pasta for each dish. Dinners were $22 each. Also, not kid friendly which was fine, because the portions are so small it was like having a kids meal. For $22 a plate I would have expected a bigger portion or at least a salad included with the meal.
not quite as good as our first experience there last year. Food was good, but not very hot when served. Coffee was not hot at all but waitress Danielle kindly made fresh for us.
Definitely like upstairs seating better. I think makes for a finer experience.

Case Nostra is aging very, very well. As time passes, everything just gets better and better. The service solution is always exactly right (with Manager David Saavedra and Randy Hawks in the house, that is no surprise). The kitchen, overseen by Executive Chef Carlos has evolved to the point where there can be little question that this is the very best Loudoun County and Leesburg has to offer. I have worked my way through the menu a few times now, and have observed exactly how Chef Carlos continuously evolves every dish on the menu. The changes are often subtle, but over time it becomes clear that this chef is devoted to finding perfection....and he is getting that done. Over the years he has progressed from "very good", to "great", to "extraordinary", to the present, where his skills leave me wondering where I would need to go to find a chef anywhere close to his level of talent. At the very least, he has arrived at a very young age at the point where he has few peers. We will be hearing a lot about Chef Carlos in the years to come.
Great meal. Menu has many traditional and authentic Italian dishes.
Excellent restaurant. Believe they were overwhelmed by a town event that created greater than normal numbers. The restaurant recognized this made the appropriate apologies and even "compt" part of the bill -- a very classy move. Will definitely go back
The service and food was great and I would recommend it, and return. However, I wondered about the acoustics in the room we were in ..... the one at the far side on the second floor..... voices really echoed and detracted from the ambiance, but Not enough that I would not return.
Casa Nostra in the center of Leesburg is a great place to dine. The food is very tasty and the menu offers a nice selection of appetizers, first and second courses and dessert. House specials are available. The wine list is broad with well selected wines listed at a good price to value, especially for restaurant dining. The service is professional and the owner David is a great reference for selecting a wine to pair with the food. Very relaxed atmosphere in a beautiful old Leesburg building.
Soup although good, was lukewarm.
Portions appeared lost on the plate.
