   Foods, staff, and ambience is awesome. This is one of the few restaurants that serve both tasty breakfast and non-breakfast food well.

   This place is an absolute gem! The service is top-notch—genuinely friendly, attentive, and welcoming from the moment you walk in. There’s such a great vibe here—cozy, lively, and full of heart. And the brunch? Out of this world. Every dish we tried was flavorful, fresh, and beautifully presented. Whether you're a regular or just passing through, this diner feels like home.    We came for a little birthday brunch and had a great time here. Had the steak and eggs and chicken and waffles. My steak was tender and juicy. My partner had the chicken and waffles and he said they were the best he ever had. I had a bite and I was amazed. The chicken was seasoned perfectly and the waffle was fresh and fluffy. They brought out a surprise dessert for the birthday that really solidified the experience for us. Everyone working came out to sing to the birthday boy and our server paired the strawberry dessert with the (strawberry) marg we ordered too. It was our first time at Carnegie, but I can’t wait to go back.

   We love diners. Whenever we’re on the road, we look for local diners rather than major franchises. Carnegie Diner has been one of our favorite local “somewhat fancier” places and we hadn’t been disappointed until yesterday. This was the place where we always brought out-of-town visitors and everyone always liked the burgers, omelets and the pastrami Reuben sandwiches. The fries, especially when ordered as “well done”, were awesome – hot and crunchy to the last bite. Yesterday, we had a guest who was celebrating his birthday, so what better place to go than Carnegie Diner? We had reservations and it wasn’t as crowded as usual. We ordered our normal go-to dishes – Pastrami and Corned Beef Reubens, a burger and an omelet – finished off with a couple of slices of pie and cake. My Pastrami Reuben was cold, the Swiss cheese wasn’t melted and the rye a bit soggy. The fries, although well done and tasty, were luke warm – the temp where you quit eating the fries. Thinking it was just me, I didn’t say anything to the group. Back in the car, my wife said, the omelet would have been good if it had been hot and the hash browns were completely cold. That caused the others to chime in with “yes, my burger and fries weren’t hot either” and “the corned beef would have been really tasty if hot.” The cake and pie were very nice. This was a disappointing experience and, quite frankly, you should expect far more when you spend $40 a person at a diner. I’m not sure we’ll be back.

   Very Good. Kimberly G. provided cheerful & prompt service, but this 3rd time visit on a busy Saturday had some weaknesses. Several of the Onion Rings were seriously under-cooked with nearly raw breading, Happy-hour Classic Margarita was light on the Tequila, but I ordered another anyway, which took forever to arrive, and was even weaker, clearly made by an amateur bartender The Lobster Roll had great fresh flavour, but was drowned in way too much sweet herb-laden mayonnaise. Pork Chop with Bacon Mashed-Potato and Brussels Sprouts was MASSIVE and EXCELLENT. Blueberry Pie with vanilla ice cream just so-so.

    Booked a reservation online for outside. When we arrived we were informed that there outside isn't open. Very disappointed, as that was one of the main reasons we opted to eat here on a beautiful day. If outside isn't available, it should be removed as an option. In addition, upon receiving our bill, we were made aware that they charge an extra percentage if you pay by credit card. While our food was great, everything else was very disappointing.
